Durham is always worth a visit, but it’s especially magical during the countdown to Christmas. Packed with hundreds of quaint stalls winding their way around the historic cathedral and castle, it’s an enchanting way to spend an afternoon. Wander beneath a spellbinding blanket of fairy lights, hear the carol singers’ lovely jingling, ring-ting-tingling tunes and browse for handmade gifts.
