Page design #7 focused on the lettering found in Swiss Style. I chose the font, Helvetica, as it was the standard for this style. I also kept different characteristics of this style in my page design. I also used this style on the cover of this portfolio!

Page design #8 focused on the lettering found in the 1990s. I themed my page design around the font, Chicago. This font was widely used on Macintosh computers, thus theming my page around that.

Page design #9 focused on the font families. I themed my page design around the variable font, Sway. I also designed the page to have a vintage children’s book appeal, making it one of the brighter page designs I made.

Page design #10 focused on the anatomy of type. I chose a western theme that matched my chosen font, Slab. This font is also a variable font which I enjoyed. Variable fonts allow the user to change the font’s thickness and wideness.

Page design #11 focused on building text and seeing the difference when you work with different aspects such as font size, thickness, leading and tracking. I chose to spell out “Neo Culture Technology” which is from a group called NCT. I put different songs from the group inside the letters.

Page design #10 focused on the logo design. I chose an existing company, Stuart Coffee Co., to redesign. I created a “mascot” alongside their logo. I wanted to give it a freshened and lively look. I wanted it to have more of a playful and youthful appeal.

This project was to focus on a traditional magazine spread. I added different elements found in these pages such as a pull quote, folios, header, running head, sub head, as well as the body text.

This project was to focus on a modern magazine spread. I added different elements found in these pages such as a pull quote, folios, header, running head, sub head, as well as the body text. I wanted to make it have a difference from the traditional spread, so I used san serif text and made it wrap around the large photo of Snoopy.
