I was honored to paint another portrait of Hilary Chandler, this second time all smiles instead of tears. Vaccinating healthcare workers brings hope to Health Heroes. “Christmas came early this year, take that Covid-19” , says Hillary Chandler a nurse in Houston when she received her vaccination on December 19, 2020. Her family and friends are all very happy she has received the vaccine and breathing a sigh of relief. She is a nurse manager for Kelsey-Seybold Cancer Center in Houston, Texas which provides outpatient clinics, a radiation center, and infusion centers. They take care of adult cancer patients. “It’s often overwhelming, interacting with our patients who are not only facing their cancer diagnosis, but also the stress of receiving cancer treatment during a pandemic, ” explained Hilary.. The vaccine brought her the gift of hope.
