You Didn ’t Die Alone
Y O U D I D N ’ T D I E A L O N E
11” x 14” unframed Oil on canvas panel. April 26, 2020 DAY 40 This painting was my response to all those nurses standing in the gap for those 50k+ people (as of April 26) who died from Covid19 in hospitals without family and friends. The nurses comforted them, held their hands so they didn’t die alone. I have a cousin my age who passed away while I was painting, and other painful family memories I can’t even bare to talk about hearken deep emotions while painting this one. If this painting stirs up such deep emotions for you concerning the number of deaths around the world it’s okay they are worthy of our tears.
