8” X 16”unframed OIL ON PANEL April 16, 2020 Social distancing kept family members away from their elderly loved ones in hopes of protecting them from the deadly pathogen covid-19. The loneliness was and is real for those not able to have visitors especially in homes for the elderly. This was the first emotional trigger for me. This title of this painting is from the song of the same name, by late John Prine who wrote this when he was 24. It will bring tears.
