10” x 10” unframed 2” gallery wood panel April 17, 2020 As the need for masks rose during the pandemic, volunteers worked to keep us covered. I was moved to tears to see the huge effort by hardworking people designing, cutting, collaborating, and sewing these protective masks so people did not buy the surgical masks in the marketplace that needed to go to the nurses and caregivers in hospitals. Big shout out to my sisters and friends who joined the worldwide laborers of love making masks on their machines at their dining room tables. This painting is my way to say to all the “Suzy Seamtresses” we honor you.
