Many people ask me, “Should I list my house to sell during the holidays?” For most people, the answer is, YES! By coming up with a strong game plan ahead of time, selling this time of year can be done. Plenty of buyers are still looking, especially since many people take days off of work. It also gets your house on the market before the Spring, when we typically see an increase in listings. Here are a few things we can do to make it a success: 1. Coordinate professional photos to be taken prior to putting out any decorations as they make it difficult for buyers to picture their belongings in the house. (I provide professional photos with my listings at no cost to you) 2. Do not use items that have a strong fragrance such as cinnamon or pine. People looking at the house may be allergic or sensitive to these. 3. If you have any company coming to town or dates that you will be gone, let me know ahead of time so I can coordinate showings at convenient times for you.
