Artistic Director, Director & Writer Randy Apostle* Good evening folks and welcome to Rydell High’s 1959 back to class pep rally. It is a busy night here. Besides celebrating the start of the new school year, the girl gang the “T-Birdies” are set to choose their new leader, and of course the last big drag race of summer is always held on this night. We are also meeting our new principal, Mr. Upchuck, who just moved here all the way from Texas! There is lots of entertainment planned for this evening and we hope you all have a wonderful rock and rolling good time! A few years ago I wrote a little spoof called Greased and the show turned out to be a real crowd pleaser and very successful. I did a bit of a role reversal and had the most notorious drag racing gang made up of females, and the new shy foreign student was a boy named “Sandy.” Of course, featuring great songs of the ‘50s is always a treat for many people, whether you be reminiscing or just now discovering the rock and roll age! I was excited to pen another chapter in our crazy “Rydell High” world and had so much fun with this great music and silly story. The other great pleasure has been working with this multi-talented cast and of course our amazing production team who along with the great lighting, music, choreography, costuming, and an amazing set, also created 4 cars for our big drag race. I would like to acknowledge the generous support of Canadian Actors’ Equity Association and our General Partners, Janet Cunningham and Doug Stephen. Finally, I thank you, our audience, for your many years of laughter and support. If you have any comments or questions about this or any of our shows please do feel free to contact me. I Randy Apostle hope you have a great night with us and enjoy our show! Artistic Director Cheers!

Gabriel Stinson - Mr. Upchuck Howdy, y’all! Gabriel Will Stinson is celebratin’ his ninth anniversary on the Jubilations stage. He is thrilled to be back so soon and could not have done it without the generous hearts of the friends and family around him. “Show nine,” he tells me. (That’s almost ten! Wow.) He has acted in roles ranging from a plucky high school student to a grumpy septuagenarian. Even though he has never ventured much earlier than the seventies on this stage, the sweet dulcet sounds of fifties pop and rock have won him over. So strap into your seats because this hot rod is shooting off into the sunset at a hundred and ten!

BRAD ZACHARIAS - JOHNNY Get out the hair pomade and find your switchblade comb! Brad is thrilled to be back as Johnny, and to relive the glory days of the greaser. Hailing from Carman, Manitoba, you may have seen Brad as Luke Young (“Skyrocker”) in Star Warz, in other Jubilations productions (Best of Friends Reunion, It’s Elementary, Sherlock), or as his greatest role, random passerby on the street. Brad would like to thank his friends, family, and fiancé Jeny for supporting his (slight) madness throughout it all. Enjoy the show!

Hanna Skibin - DANNI Hanna is absolutely thrilled to be making her Jubilations debut as Danni in Greased 2! Hanna is a recent graduate of the Theatre Arts program at Grant MacEwan University. Favorite credits include Rent The Musical (Mimi), The Rocky Horror Show (Magenta), Catch Me If You Can The Musical (Carol Strong) and Urinetown The Musical (Little Becky). Hanna would like to dedicate this show to Keith Ewasiuk and June Skibin. Now throw your mittens around your kittens and away we go!

JESSY MOSSOP - PENNY Jessy Mossop is an Alberta based vocalist, with a lifelong dream of building a career in the music industry. This passionate performer has already garnered awards both nationally and internationally in songwriting, vocal technique, acting, and performance among many others. Always willing to help the community, she has lent her talent to support many charities, performing and organizing. Jessy’s live performance showcases her distinct powerful vocals that will leave you in a whirlwind of emotion and eager to hear more.

Maggie Paul FrÉdette - SUZY / FRANKIE

Maggie is beyond excited to be on the Jubilations stage for the first time as an actor! Having been part of the ad-cast team for several years, Maggie is thrilled for this wonderful opportunity to finally bring her performance to the stage. This is her first major acting role and she hopes that GREASED 2 will bring cheer and laughter to all those who come to see it. Being a drama major from the University of Alberta, Maggie has always dreamed of working in theatre. She loves to act but is most known for her playwriting. She is always passionate about bringing her characters and stories to the stage, and is honoured to be the one, this time, to be bringing a playwright’s vision and great character to life. Lastly, Maggie would like to thank Randy, the production team and all those who will be part of this amazing experience, and of course, thank all of you for coming out tonight to join the fun. Enjoy the show and don’t be afraid to sing along with us to your favorite rock and roll songs!

NYALA PITTEL - MARY ANNE

A recent graduate of Grant MacEwan’s Theatre Arts Program, Nyala is thrilled to be making her Jubilations debut. Born in Bowmanville, Ontario and raised here in Edmonton, where she now calls home, she has been performing as long as she can remember. Most recently, she was seen in Triple Threat Theatre’s Sondheim on Sondheim at the 2016 Edmonton Fringe Festival, and in Wyvern Players’ productions of Over My Dead Body and According to Rumour. Previous credits include Nice Work If You Can Get It, Curtains and Heathers (Grant MacEwan). Now, without further ado, it’s time to burn some rubber! Safe driving everyone!

STORY In case you are a new visitor to Jubilations, you may be interested in a little information about our group. Where did Jubilations come from? Although not a new idea, the Jubilations concept is unique in today’s theatre. It combines a three-act musical comedy with a twist and a four-course dinner. We ask our audience to immerse themselves in our world. Whether we’re at an old west saloon or on the bridge of a futuristic starship, we invite the audience to play along by being an actual part of our environment for a few hours. Our goal – fun for the entire family. Our Edmonton location in West Edmonton Mall truly lends itself to this concept. We currently have three dinner theatres in operation: our sister theatre, Celebrations in Winnipeg, Jubilations in Edmonton, Jubilations in Calgary who is also home to “Aussie Rules”, a very exciting rockin’, dueling piano bar. All four of our concepts are proud to come under the umbrella of WOW Hospitality Concepts. Our owners, Janet Cunningham and Doug Stephen would like to welcome you to Jubilations, Edmonton’s most exciting dinner theatre and are pleased to present our current production. So sit back and enjoy a tasty four-course dinner while our cast of characters amuse you with tableside banter.
