Brad Wiebe* Director After a successful run playing Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar in Edmonton I am looking forward to my second directing job here with our company. I’m a big fan of the original Netflix show and am excited about the chance to play with the characters in our parody version, wonderfully written by Bob Cunningham and Aimée Beaudoin! Big thank yous go out to Mr. Randy Apostle and our owners Mr. Doug Stephen and Mrs. Janet Cunningham for their continued friendship and faith in me for the last 20+ years. I would also like to thank you, the patrons of our theatre for your continued support and hope you enjoy the show, have a great night everyone!

AimEe Beaudoin Co-Writer It was an absolute pleasure to work on a parody of one of my favourite television shows, especially one that created so many roles for women of all ages and ethnicities. I would like to give a huge thank you to my writing partner Bob Cunningham; we had a blast creating these characters and this story. Thanks to Randy Apostle for doing a fantastic job as always mentoring me and casting this talented group of actors. I also would like to give a huge thank you to the heart beat of this theatre, our Stage Manager Peter Nadolny Moon, who guides all the actors and ad-cast with his expertise on how to remain positive and hilarious and give our guests the best experience possible. Peter is not only a skilled stage manager. He’s also a comedian, improviser, actor and director. Now please, sit back, relax, enjoy the goofy inmates and guards that are serving you, take on your role of a Government Bigwig coming to survey this prison, play with us and have fun...or we’ll throw you in the SHU!

Bob Cunningham

Co-Writer

Congratulations, you’re in jail! Okay… so you’re not really in jail… but welcome to our Celebrations Dinner Theatre version of jail. I think you will find that our amazing production team has created a very jail-like setting, except with more laughs and much better food! It was a pleasure to once again get to write a script for Celebrations Dinner Theatre, and this time it was doubly fun because I got to co-write with my amazing colleague and great friend Aimée Beaudoin. Together I believe we managed to come up with a fast paced, fun filled script. With the talented Brad Wiebe directing, and the excellent cast he’s assembled, it’s sure to be a fantastic G rated evening!

Randy Apostle*Artistic Director One of the huge benefits of working with this theatre for the last 25 years is all the incredibly talented people I have met and had the pleasure to work with. Tonight’s show is a great example of just few of those artists. Our writers, Bob and Aimée, have both written previous scripts for our theatre as well as performed in many shows, as has our director Brad Wiebe, who has also penned shows. I am happy to work with people who understand our theatre’s unique style and embrace it! As always, I send thanks to our production team and amazing staff here at Celebrations as well as our extremely talented cast members. I thank you, our audience for your many years of laughter and support! Cheers! *The participation of these Artists are arranged by permission of Canadian Actors’ Equity Association under the provisions of the Dance, Opera, Theatre Policy.

STORY In case you are a new visitor to Celebrations, you may be interested in a little information about our group. Where did Celebrations come from? Although not a new idea, the Celebrations concept is unique in today’s theatre. It combines a three act musical comedy with a twist and a four course dinner. We ask our audience to immerse themselves in our world. Whether we’re at an old west saloon or on the bridge of a futuristic starship, we invite the audience to play along by being an actual part of our environment for a few hours. Our goal – fun for the entire family. We currently have three dinner theatres in operation, our sister theatres, Jubilations in Edmonton, and our newest venture, Jubilations in Calgary is also home to “Aussie Rules”, a very exciting rockin’, dueling piano bar. Our owners, Janet Cunningham and Doug Stephen would like to welcome you to Celebrations, Winnipeg’s most exciting dinner theatre and are pleased to present our current production.  So sit back and enjoy a tasty four course dinner while our cast of characters amuse you with tableside banter.

Hello avid program reader! Thanks for taking your time away from your dinner companions to read about me. I’m ecstatic to be back for my second show at Celebrations! I guess I wasn’t terrible in my first show Hey, Pretty Woman. I could not be more proud of the show you are about to see tonight. An amazing cast and crew made this into something truly glorious. A special thanks to the co-writer Aimée Beaudoin for being the love of my life for three years, and writing a part that allows me to dive into my passion for music. Now sit back, enjoy the food, enjoy the show, sing along, joke around with all the people going by your table and have the best night you can. Cheers!
