Indian River, ON We are super excited to present this years offering for the Source for Quality Bull and Female sale. 2020 has already shown us that this new decade is fill of optism, and good times ahead for the beef industry. Along with that mothr nature hasd been very cooperastive after absoutley blasting us throughtout the enitre year of 2019. This set of bulls are easily the most consistent, fault-free and useful bunch that we’ve ever offered. Their totally completeness, soundness, temperment and documentation for csalving ease combined with growth is what we strive to produce. These ecomincally relevant traits that we have spent our lives building off are designed to add true va;ue to our cutsomers who choose to add a bull from this sale to their herd. The Elmhirst family are dedictaed and passionate about prodcution of superior beef genetics. Three generations on a daily basis vcare for, manage, and research genewtics on our herd of 175 mother cows. We are all in. Its all we do, its how we earn our living. Our increased cow herd size plus the addition of anoither 10 angus cows allows us to offer more females this year that represent the maternal sstrenght of all our breeds. We’ve changed the format to an evening sale later in the spring to hopefully get away from some frigid temperatures so feel free to come early and have a bite to eat, some refreshments and evaluate the sale offering. A spot faced bull we showed last year so he’s easy to handle, his dam is a consistent producer and his 16 year old grand dam just went this winter. We don’t part with too many Boom daughters, so seize the day. OK this is the spring sale superstar in case anybody was wondering! These Licorice cattle have made quite a name for themselves in show rings and sale rings around here lately.

Last year’s sale topper and full sister to the Metske family ended up her year with a red ribbon at the Royal, while Maple Stone rocked Quality Control when they sold a $19500 Licorice from the same family. This heifer is stout, big bellied, well balanced with a really nice “Look”. We can’t wait for you to see her and might get her to the JR Beef Expo.

We ran out of time getting a picture of this one but she is much like her sister pictured here that we sold last year to Crooked Creek farms. This year’s model is higher performing and has a bunch to her but missed getting splashed with white paint on her forehead. Really nice cow prospect here out of a nice uddered daughter of the Semex bull El Toro.

Bit of an experiment here to sell a bred heifer that will most likely be calved by sale day.

As our cow herd balloons to 175 cows we have more options and as the cattle market soars ahead and grass looms on the horizon who wouldn’t want to add a young, attractive, healthy very well documented female into your program. She stems from a real good family, the Briands that have been utilizing IRCC genetics for some time and by the structure and appeal this lady has, I’d say its working pretty good.

These 3 black baldy F1 females represent how potent and important hybrid vigour is to the cattle production industry. Plus they also represent the quality and the fundamentally strong traits that both Hereford cattle and purebred Simmental cattle offer to the same industry. These heifers are younger born and were raised solely by their dams, weaned in late October and flung in with the purebred Simms to fend for themselves.
