Welcome to the Colours of Autumn, with a fresh, new, user friendly format designed to take the stress of sale day off both man and beast. As we all continue the torrid pace of this thing called life, it sometimes becomes necessary to create change to allow for business to go on as normal and stay in tune with times. As you can expect not much has changed except the sale format being online only, as the hosts and consignors have once again offered the very best from their respective programs. This year to go with the new look it appears even higher quality is on offer and the sale famous for stout, good looking bred heifers will not dissapoint. Its a great time to be in cows, a fun time where the hard work pays dividends as does disciplined breeding and high quality genetics like the ones on offer here. Hyannis was the Lot 1 High seller for 33,000. With the first crop of calves on the ground the results are every bit as good as we hoped. a daughters by Hyannis were highlights of the Limousin section of the prestigious Family Matters sale this past summer. Unfortunately we lost Hyannis far to soon so this will be the last semen to ever sell .

In 2022, Jaxon Payne toured the pastures at WGL and found a bred heifer and her full sib heifer calf. He scratched is head on which one would fit the bill for the for the upcoming sale and asked for both. My response was “Pick one or the other….One has to stay.”He selected the bred and she sold quickly to Greenwood Limousin.

With some bad luck in the heifer pen this year, we had to let go of the one we planned on keeping. We were keeping her because she is made just right with a lot of middle, structural correctness, muscle shape and has loads of femininity. She is backed up by some great EPDS and her carcass numbers aren’t too shabby at all. This female is one of the best Flatliners we have seen and her breeding to Wulfs Haiti 4708H will be one to bank on.

First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form tosignup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your username and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.

2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/ or an email noting this activity.

3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. WHAT IS RACEHORSE STYLE SALE CLOSE? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.

HOW WILL EXTENDED BIDDING WORK? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placedwith less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended biddingallows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.
