Our Mission
St. Timothy’s Episcopal School is a nurturing community of academic excellence that instills the knowledge, skills, and values for a life of purpose.
“So much of what we do and accomplish throughout our lives is shaped by the knowledge, skills, and values first instilled in our earliest years. This is what makes the Pre-K to Eighth Grade approach so beneficial.
At St. Timothy’s, we focus on the early childhood to early adolescent years to offer our students the community, opportunities, and experiences that we believe will best prepare them for all that will follow for the rest of their lives.”

“Throughout my time at STS, I have learned many things in and out of the classroom. I have learned valuable lessons like kindness and respect, and I have also learned how to collaborate well with other people. In high school, I will use the knowledge I gained and the life lessons learned, including kindness, respect, and honesty. STS has set me up for a successful and prosperous life.”
~Colton | Alumnus, Class of 2024
“As a parent, I have watched my three kids learn and understand the benefits of time management and organization. These are building blocks to better learning and key elements for a strong academic base that they will carry with them through high school, college, and into their careers.”
~Casey Hale | Parent of Alumni and Current Student
Why Pre-K through Eighth
Research shows that the Pre-K through Eighth Grade model is best for students and allows children to:
Develop in a nurturing environment
Participate in leadership opportunities at a younger age (typically reserved for high school)
Explore age-appropriate independence
Learn their strengths and weaknesses to aid in high school selection
Today, St. Timothy’s Titans are studying at over 30 different high schools. We partner with students and families to offer support and guidance throughout this process. Titans have many options for high school. Their journey at STS prepares them to choose the school that fits them best for the next stage of their academic journey.

Our Episcopal School Identity
We are a Christian school that welcomes children of all faiths and no faith tradition.
We worship and pray together in the Episcopal School tradition, and our middle school Religious Studies classes examine Christianity and other major world religions from an academic perspective. While all students will learn about the teachings of Jesus and the core beliefs of Christianity, we respect each family’s personal choices on matters of faith.
We embrace faith and reason in the pursuit of truth and meaning.
We encourage students to begin exploring lifelong questions of existence, purpose, and meaning, hopeful that they will see how faith and reason might complement each other in this pursuit. This requires that we provide them with the strongest academic and intellectual foundations—in science, math, literature, history, languages, and the arts.
We teach that loving and serving others is an essential part of our calling.
Based on a belief that every person is uniquely created in the image of a loving God, we teach our students that they are called to treat all people with dignity, respect, and compassion. Our core belief in action-oriented love drives our extensive community service and servant leadership efforts, as well as our commitment to diversity and belonging within our own school community.
We are an intentionally inclusive community that seeks to model God’s love and grace. We offer students a strong academic, intellectual, and spiritual foundation to guide them throughout their lives.

Outside the Classroom
. . . with values that guide a lifetime of purpose.
Hands-on learning is crucial in fostering a deeper understanding and retention of knowledge. Immersive learning actively engages students, equipping them to apply concepts in real-world contexts. This approach promotes critical thinking, important social and communication skills, problem solving, and creativity, as students explore and experiment directly with the subject matter. Immersive experiences, such as field trips, pave the way for dynamic, collaborative, and enjoyable learning, catering to diverse learning styles which help maintain a student’s interest and motivation.

Visual and Performing Arts
The arts are essential at St. Timothy’s, where our comprehensive curriculum fosters creativity and skill development from Pre-K through Eighth Grade. Our dedicated staff cultivates a love of music, theater, and visual arts in an engaging environment. Students have opportunities to showcase their talent throughout the community, at competitions, and on campus.
Visual Arts (Pre-K to Eighth)
Lower School students participate in our visual arts program, a co-curricular class that fosters imagination and creative self-expression. Using various media, we enhance students’ awareness and appreciation of art and design in their environment.
Middle school students can take Visual Arts as an elective, exploring art forms such as photography, paint, and clay. Our goal is to teach techniques and art history while students master design elements.
Drama
(Fifth to Eighth)
Students enjoy collaboration and creativity as they explore, learn, and execute various roles such as acting, directing, and program design. Performances include a fall production on campus designed by students for students and a spring stage production.
“Integrating visual and performing arts in education is not just about nurturing creativity; it enriches students’ emotional well-being, enhances academic performance, and cultivates a deeper understanding of diverse perspectives and cultures.”

Parent volunteers play a crucial role in the success of our school community. Their dedication and support enhance our programs and enrich the student experience. By joining our parent organization, Friends of St. Timothy’s, or assisting in classrooms, organizing events, and leading activities, parent volunteers help create a collaborative and vibrant environment. Their involvement strengthens the bond between school and home, modeling the importance of community engagement for our students. The success of our initiatives are a direct result of the hard work and commitment of our parent volunteers, making them an invaluable asset to our school.
Admissions Process
We are committed to making a St. Timothy’s education affordable and accessible to all qualified students, with approximately 20% of families receiving need-based financial aid each year. All financial aid inquiries and applications are treated confidentially and independently of the admissions decision. Families who qualify are required to re-apply for financial aid each year.
