Leading through a time of extraordinary challenges, Franklin Roosevelt is attributed with the insight that courage is not the absence of fear, but the recognition that there is something more important than fear. Throughout the most prolonged, disruptive period in our school’s history, the courage and commitment of our teachers, staff, administration, and community navigated St. Timothy’s through exceptional challenges with extraordinary results.

This annual report reveals the magnitude and impact of these accomplishments. Philanthropic support from our parents, grandparents, alumni, and community is at record levels, as is our enrollment. These numbers reflect only part of our story. No less significant is the enduring contribution from our faculty, staff, and administration through their tireless commitment to every student, to their colleagues, and to the mission of St. Timothy’s School. Through their day-to-day actions even in the most trying of circumstances, our students saw the embodiment of character traits which include courage, persistence, compassion, and mutual respect, as well as an ideal characteristic for all St. Timothy’s graduates – the ability to “solve problems with diligence and creativity.” Our faculty have both taught these qualities and have lived them.

Our parents and community have provided a transformative level of personal and financial support. Our Board has undertaken the work to clarify our mission and vision for the future, refined through the crucible of intense challenge. All of us have come to the realization that St. Timothy’s is a community much bigger than the buildings and grounds at the corner of Six Forks and Rowan. We are, as our updated mission statement attests, “A nurturing community of academic excellence that instills the knowledge, skills and values for a life of purpose,” no matter the location, circumstance, or adversity. Advanced through the character of our teachers, the leadership of our administration, and the support from our community, the mission of St. Timothy’s is stronger, more expansive, and more resilient than ever.

To say that we are grateful does not say enough. We are humbled and inspired by the efforts and example of this exceptional community of educators, leaders, parents, and friends of St Timothy’s.

On behalf of the entire Board of Trustees, thank you for everything you do and for everything you are for St. Timothy’s School.

MEET OUR DONORS

St. Timothy’s School Annual Fund

Each year, St. Timothy’s asks our community to give as generously as possible to the St. Timothy’s School Annual Fund. Contributions help enhance academic programs for students, provide professional development opportunities for faculty and staff, support technology in classrooms and upgrade campus facilities.

Parents, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, Former Parents, Grandparents, Board of Trustees and Friends all support the St. Timothy’s Annual Fund.

Any amount is appreciated! Our goal this year is to increase giving across all donor groups in our community. Participation is what counts. Please consider giving generously through one of our Giving Levels.

“St. Timothy’s is an incredible blessing for our family. With 3 boys enrolled and a girl waiting in the wings, we cannot imagine another school that affords the learning environment and resources St. Timothy’s provides. We feel a partnership with the staff at all levels to support our kids and help them realize their full potential. From students and parents to teachers and administrators, the school fosters an amazing sense of community, family, and Christian values. We choose to give to the Annual Fund in order to further the ability of St. Timothy’s to enhance their mission of educating with compassion and conviction. Go Titans!!”

The St. Timothy’s Annual Fund runs from July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023. Your support is welcome at any time! Visit www.sttimothys.org/giving or reach out to Marian Godwin in the Development Office at 919-787-3011 ext 1012 or mgodwin@sttimothys. org. Please consider joining our Monthly Giving Program by creating a recurring monthly gift online at www.sttimothys.org/give. If your employer has a matching gift program, please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to increase your giving.

“Indeed, it is a great day to be a Titan! St. Timothy’s continues to instill in our children, in 5th and 3rd grades, the values and importance of an engaging academic experience, honesty, faith, and empathy in the community around them. Doing something changes everything; our family’s commitment to the Annual Fund is just a small token ensuring these experiences remain relevant and reflective now and in years to come. Kindness creates more kindness, and we encourage those with access to a company donation match to help campaigns like St. Timothy’s Day of Giving. Contributing to the Annual Fund and leveraging company matches are potent ways we can continue the core values and dedicated faculty that define St. Timothy’s.”

Parker and Lynda Lumpkin

“One of the greatest decisions my husband and I ever made was to send our two sons (Tripp and Arturo) to St. Timothy’s School in the ‘80’s. To now have two grandchildren there (Evelyn and Parker) is another great blessing. It is our greatest pleasure to support St.Timothy’s financially because we know the difference the school has made in the lives of so many children (including ours) educationally, spiritually, physically and socially. This exceptional school truly deserves our support!”

SERVICE BEYOND OUR SCHOOL: Partnering with Haiti

A partner to St. Timothy’s since 2016, Saint Timothees School nurtures and educates more than 150 children in the remote village of Boucan-Carré in Haiti. St. Timothy’s School supports our partner by providing funds for students’ noontime meal–often their only meal for the day, teacher salaries, potable water and more. In addition, St. Timothy’s faculty and staff have visited the school, bringing educational materials, recreation equipment and other supplies.

Thank you to the following people who supported our efforts in Haiti during the 2021-2022 fiscal year:
