Here at Ottenwalter Show Pigs, we always stand behind our product. Please feel free to contact us with questions regarding care/management of your new bred female. If there is a major concern or problem, please contact us AS IT’S HAPPENING and not days or weeks later. We STRONGLY URGE our customers to follow these guidelines: Administer estrumate 1cc IN THE NECK or lutalyse 2cc IN THE NECK the day before or day of their listed due date to induce farrowing. All due dates listed are based upon 114 days following their first service. Put your gilt/sow in the farrowing crate 4-5 days before her due date and have a heat lamp or mat turned on on both sides of the crate starting three days before their due date. Feed Trans Rite Sow Ultra daily for three days prior to her due date. Have oxytocin on hand to use if needed during farrowing and only use after having checked that the birth canal is clear. Also have a bottle of lube available and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND having a “Pig & Lamb Puller” on hand which can be purchased from Nasco or PBS Animal Health for about $9. LOT 1 146-8 BREED CROSS

DIFFERENT LEAGUE SERVICE SIRE

It doesn’t take much investigation to figure out that the sale order was made based on due dates, but it happens to be a coincidence that we are starting off with one of our very favorites. 146-8 is a gorgeous young sow that’s done a very nice job through her first two parities here at Ottenwalter Show Pigs. We used the 3 Peat and Last Dance boars at Crossroads quite a bit in 2021 and they left us with a tremendous set of daughters. 146-8 was one of the very best 3 Peat daughters we retained from the spring of ‘22. Her 94-2 dam (225K x Sunshine & Whiskey 109-5 x Hillbilly Bone 74-8) was a very good generator for our program and there are lots of shots of Super Monster laid back into the pedigree here. Grand dam 109-5 was the dam of the Grand Champion Barrow at Denver in 2020 shown by Alli Stromberger. 146-8 has averaged 10.5 born alive and 8.5 weaned through her first two litters and her December litter of No Strangers was exceptionally good with not one or two, but SEVEN individuals (some pictured) that made our March sale and were some of our very best offered! Chances are very good that many of them will find backdrops this summer! 146-8 is bred back to our Different League boar who gives us every indicator that he’s the next big thing – in our opinion she is one of those no-brainer purchases that’s got nothing but upside!

LOT 2 133-6 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE GAME OF THRONES SIRE
VISIONARY 254-2 DAM
DIFFERENT LEAGUE SERVICE SIRE
6/6/2024 DUE DATE
MAR-23 BIRTH DATE

133-6 represents a rare opportunity at a gorgeous bred female right out of the heart of our herd. Sired by Game of Thrones, who is in our opinion, one of our best genetic masterpieces of the last few years, and her dam was the great 254-2 Visionary x Swagger 3-6 sow (pictured) that sold in last year’s Legacy Sale to Chase Fite. 254-2 left us with 10 daughters (and now too many grand daughters to count), but just as importantly, she was the dam of the $50,000 Breaking Bad (Thompson Brothers), Outbreak (Ottenwalter Show Pigs), May We All 132 (Ottenwalter Show Pigs), and Cobalt (Shaffers Gold Rush). 254-2 also raised the Grand Overall at Parker County, TX in 2020 that was later purchased by S Squared for $20k. If you dig deeper into the pedigree, 254-2’s dam was the 3-6 (Swagger x Priority One x Black Attack) sow we purchased from Heimer in one of his original Built the Brand Sales – and I could write another paragraph about the genetic influence that she made both in Taylor, MO and Colusa, CA. Back to 133-6: she really doesn’t need all of this description to get her sold, as she is very phenotypically pleasing. She’s great built, tall shouldered, attractive and square and she comes in a stout package. Bred to Different League should give her new owner an instant opportunity at some individuals to build a herd from!

LOT 3 38-2 BREED CROSS

3 PEAT SIRE
OUTBREAK 201-5 DAM
6/7/2024 DUE DATE DEC-21 BIRTH DATE GAME ON SERVICE SIRE
If you’re looking for a bred female that’s an outlier in terms of stoutness, 38-2 might be your girl! We have multiple daughters of both 3 Peat and Last Dance working within the herd and it’s not even close on which one is the heaviest legged – no doubt it’s 38-2! Her dam 201-5 (Outbreak x Up Down 124-8) was a gorgeous female whose time in Colusa was short-lived: she only had one litter and we couldn’t get her bred back. Grand dam 124-8 you might recognize as the “cover girl” for some of our recent ads – she was the Reserve Grand Overall Gilt at Arizona Nationals in 2019, but more importantly has been a tremendous building block for our program. She is the mom of 51-2 at Top Cut and a quick search of our master sow sheet reveals 7 active daughters within the herd, not including 38-2. 38-2’s is mated back to Game On and we know he’s a great phenotypic match as she was mated the same way for her December litter, which yielded 3 very good sale pigs for our March auction (one pictured). Game On sired the Champion Berk Barrow at OYE this year and you can expect some belts, blues, potential calico, and potential solid-whites with this mating.

LOT 4 196-2 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE FORESIGHT SIRE
SUNSHINE & WHISKEY 109-5 DAM
6/8/2024 DUE DATE OCT-19 BIRTH DATE GAME ON SERVICE SIRE

If you’re one of those customers who is looking for something that is proven and has stood the test of time at one of the nation’s largest show pig operations – better study 196-2. One question we always get when we offer older females is are they done? How many parities do they have left in them? Those questions are tough to answer but we will tell you 196-2 is in great shape and shows no signs of slowing down – she has farrowed 7 litters for us and through those 7 litters, averaged 9.57 NBA and 9.14 weaned. Just as importantly, her pig quality has been outstanding and thus why she farrowed so many litters for us. She’s been mated to Outbreak, Jack Daniels, Coast to Coast, Rusty Cage, End Game, No Stranger, and most recently Silver Bullet which put two elite sale pigs in our March farm sale (pictured). Study the pedigree here and it gets even more proven: 196-2 is dammed by 109-5(pictured) who raised the Grand Barrow at National Western in 2020 shown by Alli Stromberger. Her grad dam on the bottomside was the great Hillbilly Bone 74-8 sow that goes back to Toxic 69-4 and “Bacon” 91-3. 196-2 is mated to Game On and we’d expect this mating to contain some keeper females and stout, sharp-fronted barrows.

LOT 5 84-6 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE END GAME SIRE ROCKSTAR 196-5 DAM

6/9/2024 DUE DATE
FEB-23 BIRTH DATE OG SERVICE SIRE
THE ONLY reason we are offering 84-6 is because we have 3 84 litter gilts and I’m still not sure it’s a good idea to be selling this one. She would be a full sister to all of the following: Game of Thrones, Game On, Game Plan and she would share the same dam as our new herd boar Family Man as well. This mating was made a couple different times with obvious good results each time and we have multiple daughters. Their dam, Rockstar 196-5, has been exactly that – a rockstar. In addition to raising so many elite herd boars, she’s also the dam of the May We All 224 litter sows, which includes the Grand Overall Gilt at CYAE 2021 (224-10) and the dam of the $100K Grand Overall Gilt at CYAE 2023 (224-3). THIS STUFF IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS here and we have a TON of confidence in 84-6’s generating ability! She is teed up for instant success with her pending mating to OG.

LOT 6 113-8 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE
RUSTY CAGE SIRE
SHORT BUS 12-4 DAM
DIFFERENT LEAGUE SERVICE SIRE
6/9/2024 DUE DATE MAR-22 BIRTH DATE

113-8 is another female that we probably shouldn’t be selling as these Rusty Cage daughters have proven their value time and again. Her Short Bus 12-4 dam (pictured) was a direct daughter of our great Renig 15-10 sow who was top 2-3 influencers of all time for our herd (and mega-productive). 113-8 is just a flat good female. She’s moderate framed, wide skeletoned, and extra big bodied with stout features. She has farrowed two litters for us sired by Game On and All Out War and they each had outstanding individuals, although we are quite confident her mating in progress to Different League will no doubt be her best effort yet. The Different League deal looks as exciting as anything we’ve seen for a long time and make no mistake, this female is capable of hitting a home run here.

LOT 7 176-8 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE CEASE & DESIST SIRE
BREAKING RULES 204-12 DAM
6/9/2024 DUE DATE OCT-22 BIRTH DATE GAME PLAN SERVICE SIRE

Textbook show pig momma here! 176-8 is just a flat out good built, good looking female that’s bred to be productive and have some longevity – two traits that you don’t hear mentioned too often anymore. I remember nearly 30 years ago now when I visited Billy Barnes’ place to buy a boar he showed me a pen of sows and he said, “Make your sows look like this - bigger framed, sound, and functional. And then breed them to smaller framed thicker boars, that’s what always worked for me.” I don’t think those were his exact words but that was the basic gist of what he said and it’s always proven true for us as well. Show pig breeding simplified. 176-8 has farrowed one litter for us (out of a small framed thick boar called Icon) and put 3 elite animals in our January farm sale (pictures attached). 176-8’s dam 204-12 has averaged 8.5 NBA and 8.25 weaned over 8 litters. Grand dam 29-12 (Undisputed x Distinct) was even more productive and she was also the Champion Cross Gilt at Belton a few years back. Excellent female right out of the heart of our program here and she’s bred to generate.

LOT 8 174-7 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE CEASE & DESIST SIRE HANDS TO YOURSELF 159-11 DAM
6/9/2024 DUE DATE OCT-22 BIRTH DATE GAME PLAN SERVICE SIRE

174-7 is another outstanding young sow carrying her second litter and she’s a great representative of our program and what our “plan” is – good functional females bred back to power to make show pigs! She is a littermate to lots 1-5 in our January 2023 Farm Sale which were some dynamite barrows that brought big money and got alot done. Those barrows included the Amaya Slay lot 2 barrow who won his class at Revival and was one of the very best animals on the northwest circuit last year. 174-7’s dam is 159-11 (lot 19 in this sale), and grand dam Short Bus 12-4 is also the dam of lot 6 in this sale. Her first litter sired by Icon put two very good show pigs in our January Farm Sale (pictured). Mated to Game Plan, her new owner should be set up for success both on the keeper gilt side and in the barrow ring.

LOT 9 180-11 BREED CROSS

180-11 has been around the block and she’s still getting it done! She has farrowed 6 litters, averaged 8.66 NBA and 7 weaned, and her pig quality has been nothing short of excellent. 180-11 was our very favorite cross gilt shown in 2020 at the West Coast National (AZ replacement show held in Klamath Falls). She is dammed by the 215-1 225K x Colt 45 sow (pictured) that to this day was our very favorite 225K daughter, and 180-11’s sire Shine Again was clone of Sunshine & Whiskey. More importantly is what 180-11 has accomplished: she raised the 172 litter Snafu’s sold January of 2022 which included one of our very best barrows on feed that summer for Paige Vierra(pictured as a sale pig). She followed with the 151 OCD’s in March that included Mason Coniff’s class-winning barrow at Arizona Nationals. In our opinion, her best litter were the 146’s (pictured) sold in the October Invasion 2022, and we were very ignorant not to keep at least one of those males to feed for a boar. If I remember right, they were our high-sellers that day and they found homes in elite feeders barns. 180-11 has been an exceptional sow that’s made us a good deal of revenue and is in tremendously good shape. She’s teed up with a mating to Game Plan to make some females for her new owner, and I wouldn’t be shocked if there were a high dollar barrow or two in her litter as well.

LOT 10 25-7 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE OUTBREAK SIRE
BAD MAN 51-1 DAM
DIFFERENT LEAGUE SERVICE SIRE
6/9/2024 DUE DATE DEC-20 BIRTH DATE

Rowdy Rebound’s sister! 25-7 has been a killer little sow and she’s a product of years of genetic selection here in Colusa on both sides of the pedigree. Her littermate brother Rowdy Rebound sired the Grand Overall at the Nebraska Show Down last year and the set of females he’s made us are truly impressive– he will be making an impact here for years to come. 25-7 also shares a dam with BR 64-1 who was one of our biggest genetic influences on the sire side of the last few years and between him and Rowdy Rebound we have countless daughters working within the herd. Their dam, old 51-1 (Bad Man x Cowboy Swag 55-5 x No Fare 10-11) is still in production and still making keeper gilts for us. She hails from our great 4-8 sow line that essentially got us started and of all the cornerstone females from that sow line, 51-1 has always been the stoutest. 25-7’s Buckle Up litter last November produced an elite sale gilt for our Feb Farm sale (pictured) and there is no doubt that her pending mating to Different League will be her very best yet – there could be some boar material in there!

LOT 11 34-3 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE ROWDY REBOUND SIRE MAY WE ALL 208-5 DAM
6/10/2024 DUE DATE JUN-22 BIRTH DATE GAME OF THRONES SERVICE SIRE

Outstanding young sow here! 34-3 would make a wise investment for any kind of program, and she brings forth a linebred pedigree, killer look and build, along with tremendous productivity. She has averaged 12 born alive through her first two litters and her pig quality has been quite good. In fact, she raised one of the very most elite gilts offered in our February Farm Sale this year sired by Slap Happy (pictured). When you look at her pedigree it gets even more exciting as she hails from our 4-8 sow line on 3 out of 4 legs of her pedigree with sire Rowdy Rebound being (Outbreak x Bad Man 51-1 x Cowboy Swag 55-5 x No Fare 10-11 x Perfect Remedy 4-8) and her dam 208-5 (May We All x Short Bus 64-1 x Sunshine Whiskey 27-6 x Renig 28-9 x Perfect Remedy 4-8). Added bonus: She’s bred to the “good stuff”– (same sow family again). Awesome opportunity here!!

LOT 12 263-6 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE
BROTHER LOVE SIRE
SQUARE EDGE 85-10 DAM
DIFFERENT LEAGUE SERVICE SIRE
6/11/2024 DUE DATE
NOV-20 BIRTH DATE

263-6 is a gorgeous sow that makes gorgeous pigs and she’s the kind you love to walk up to your sow barn to admire. She was Grand Overall Gilt at Oregon State Fair in 2021 shown by Jade West and judge Tadd Knight commented that she won that show for fun. Her dam, 85-10 (Square Edge x Straight Survivor) was Grand Champion Market Hog at the 2019 Nebraska State Fair shown by the Langemeire family. We loved her litter so much that we continued to use the Brother Love boar at Hi Point and we had much success with his progeny in 2021 and into 2022. 263-6’s November litter Sired by Silver Bullet put 5 elite individuals into our Feb Farm Sale this year and they sold extremely well. She’s mated back to Different League to try to hit a home run and especially after seeing his first crop of pigs feed out, we are confident this mating will be her very best so far. If we were betting on a herd boar/high dollar stud boar to come out of the Legacy Sale we’d put our money on this one.

LOT 13 239-5 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE
DIRTY SOUTH SIRE
WEDDING NIGHT 24-2 DAM
GAME PLAN SERVICE SIRE
6/11/2024 DUE DATE
NOV-19 BIRTH DATE

The “Homen sow” has been a very good generator for us and she’s probably made more high-end, sellable show pigs with the ability to win than anything else in the entire offering. She’s a bigger sow in terms of size, has been an awesome feamle to get bred and farrow, and like we said, she makes very good pigs. Her extended pedigree reads (Dirty South x Wedding Night 24-2 x American Bad Boy 144-7 x Monster Square 46-1 x Warfare 73-6 x Detox 1-1). I know that goes way back but each one of those females listed was a key generator for our program and either made national champions, high dollar boars, or both. 239-5 has farrowed 7 litters and averaged 10.14 NBA, 9.42 weaned. Her most recent litter sired by All Out War sold in February and were very well-received (one lot pictured).

LOT 14 176-10 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE CEASE & DESIST SIRE
BREAKING RULES 204-12 DAM
6/12/2024 DUE DATE OCT-22 BIRTH DATE GAME PLAN SERVICE SIRE

Killer young sow here and it’s this kind that we’ve offered over the years who go on and do good things and give our Legacy Sale the reputation that it has. 131-8 as you can see from the photo and video, is a very stout featured, loose made, heavy duty female that’s made to generate winning show pigs. I wish I could find a photo of her mom 79-7 “Tina” because she was incredible. “Tina” was a full sister to American Spirit and the very best daughter out of our great 108-2 On Target sow – the same sow who raised the “Sissy” female that was 4th Overall at Expo several years back and went on to build the Hamby Haven program. “Tina” raised the Grand Overall Gilt at Texas National in 2020, and followed that up with raising Paige Vierra’s Reserve Grand Overall Barrow at CYAE 2021, which to this day we feel is the best barrow we’ve ever fed here and one of the best we’ve ever seen. We unfortunately lost Tina in late 2021 as she suffocated from having a litter of 21 pigs inside her belly before she could farrow. Tina’s sister 79-8 raised the Cease & Desist boar who made a big impact here and is now standing at Shaffer’s. 131-7 herself was a gilt we leased to Mark Gray in 2022 and he begged us to sell her to him but we wouldn’t because of who her momma was. She’s had three nice litters (averaged over 8 weaned) sired by Mongo, To the Extreme, and Buckle Up, although we haven’t found her ideal mating yet. We think Game Plan should be her best effort yet and give her new owner an opportunity to sell some mega stout barrows and hopefully retain some heavy duty gilts!

LOT 16 64-1 BREED CROSS

SUNSHINE & WHISKEY 27-6 DAM
DIFFERENT LEAGUE SERVICE SIRE
6/13/2024 DUE
JUN-18 BIRTH DATE
64-1 is a female that’s very near and dear to our hearts here in Colusa. She’s withstood the test of time, won at all levels, and most importantly left us with daughters we have built from. While it’ll hurt to see her go, she’s done her job for us and she needs to go somewhere where can continue to make an impact and genetic progress. 64-1 is a June of 18 model and she hasn’t missed getting bred too many times – she’s farrowed and weaned 12 litters! She’s been an easy one to get mated – our plan: breed to stout thick boars, and it’s worked literally every time. She is the dam of Tanner Vierra’s Champion Heavyweight Cross Barrow at Arizona National in 2021, along with his elite sister End Game 145-10 who is flat getting it done. 64-1 has also had EXCEPTIONAL litters sired by Junior, Outta Line, Overruled, May We All, End Game. As excited as we are about Different League, it’s really going to hurt to see this sow go now that we finally have her mated that way. Our advice: keep the gilts and sell the males high!

LOT 17 276-14 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE OUTBREAK SIRE
UNDISPUTED 29-12 DAM
DIFFERENT LEAGUE SERVICE SIRE
6/13/2024 DUE DATE
NOV-20 BIRTH DATE

Killer little Outbreak sow here and another opportunity at a Different League litter for one of our customers this summer. We retained many daughters of the great 29-12 Undisputed sow and the 276 litter Outbreaks have been two of the very best ones. 29-12 (pictured) was the Champion Cross Gilt at Belton in 2018 raised by Korb (Undisputed x Distinct) and she proved to be a highly productive big time generator for our program. 276-14 has done a very nice job for us as well and she’s just hitting her prime – her October litter sired by Next Intention was extremely good and sold in our January Sale (two lots pictured). She had a dynamite HUGE litter of Cease & Desists that we sold in the spring of 2023. Her pending mating to Different will almost certainly be her very best effort yet and you can bet demand for DL pigs will be very good – that semen was hard to keep on the shelf in the cooler through this past breeding group!

LOT 18 91-5 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE
AMERICAN SPIRIT SIRE
SHINE ON 228-2 DAM

6/13/2024 DUE DATE
JUL-22 BIRTH DATE GAME PLAN SERVICE SIRE
Beautiful little sow carrying her second litter and she looks just like her momma. Her dam 228-2 spent a lot of years in the sow barns here in Colusa and was responsible for many champions and five daughters retained here. 228-2’s pedigree was (Shine On x Wedding Night 40-2 x Renig 6-6) and her sire Shine On was (Sunshine & Whiskey x Scared Straight 21-1 x Renig 6-7), making 228-2 linebred around the same sow line. This little 91-5 as you can see is very visually pleasing. She’s heavy duty in her skeleton, awesome built, sharp fronted like all American Spirits seem to be, and bred to be highly productive. She raised a really good Heavy Hitter litter her first trip through the crate (gilt pictured that sold in our Feb Sale), and Game Plan should be the ideal mating here!

LOT 19 159-11 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE HANDS TO YOURSELF SIRE
SHORT BUS 12-4 DAM
OG SERVICE SIRE
6/13/2024 DUE DATE
MAR-21 BIRTH DATE

159-11 is the kind of female we all need 90% of ours to be – productive, functional, great built, and stout enough to make pigs that can show and sell on the big stage. 159-11 has done just that and as I’m sitting here writing her description, I am learning how much money she’s made us through her four litters and it’s quite impressive. She raised lots 1-5 sired by Cease & Desist in our January 2023 Farm Sale which were some dynamite barrows that brought big money and got a lot done. Those barrows included the Amaya Slay lot 2 barrow who won his class at Revival and was one of the very best animals on the northwest circuit last year. She followed this year by raising the 98 litter Heavy Hitters we sold in our Feb sale that brought big money and found some very elite homes! Her March litter of Quite Franklys sold last summer were no slouchs either and were some of the best in that entire set. Pedigree-wise, 159-11 is dammed by the 12-4 Short Bus x Renig 15-10 sow and Renig 15-10 was one of the very best females to ever set foot in Colusa. She hails from good stuff! 159-11 has averaged 8.75 NBA and 8 weaned over four litters – she is teed up for some big time success with her pending mating to OG at Coulsons!

LOT 20 140-7 BREED CROSS

The 140 litter sows are going to make some wise investments for folks because they’ve got very good generating abilities. They are highly linebred and they are a great example of the kind of females we try to keep around here that help keep us paying the bills and trying to stay towards the top of this game. They are dammed by our great old 80-4 (On Target x Renig) sow that would be a full mate to the 108 litter sows (dam of American Spirit, etc). Like the 108’s, 80-4 laid multiple daughters back into the herd and injected productivity into each one of them. These 140’s were farrowed summer of 21 and they never left the farm – we just knew that they would be great keeper gilts and they haven’t let us down. 140-7 has farrowed four litters and averaged over 9 born alive. While all four litters have been very good, in our opinion her most recent litter sired by Different League were her best – pictured are two males we offered in our April sale. She’s mated to Game Plan in an effort to make some females and add a shot more bone and hair – we are VERY excited to get the first Game Plans on the ground soon.

LOT 21 141-5 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE BREAKING RULES SIRE DIRTY SECRET 50-2 DAM
7/5/2024 DUE DATE MAR-20 BIRTH DATE BUCKLE DOWN SERVICE SIRE

Outstanding female here and a tremendous opportunity to get in on some of the first Buckle Down pigs. 141-5 was a highly successful show gilt for Mari Horwath in 2020, where she was 8th Overall Crossbred Gilt at West Coast National (AZ Nationals replacement show). She is dammed by our 50-2 Lackey sow (Dirty Secret x No Limits x Cookie) (pictured) who did an outstanding job for us making winners litter after litter, and we’ve always thought 141-5 was just a black version of her mom. She had an American Spirit litter in December that included a very nice gilt in our March sale (pictured) and last year’s December litter sired by Next Intention yielded multiple elite individuals (a couple pictured). We think Buckle Down should be a great mating here and we were excited to start using him for summer litters – he shares the same mom as the $100K Grand Gilt at CYAE last year.

LOT 22 157-1 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE TRUMPET SIRE OUTTA LINE 254-4 DAM
7/5/2024 DUE DATE AUG-21 BIRTH DATE SLAPS SERVICE SIRE

REAL FUN ONE to offer here! 157-1 is a young sow who has farrowed two litters for us and both have them have been absolutely dynamite. Her first litter sired by American Spirit produced Allison Stonebarger’s barrow who was 3rd Overall at The Revival last year and had a very dominant jackpot season throughout the northwest. He was one at Revival that judge Troy Sloan described as the most exciting smaller pig at the show and he was the only one that found the top 3 who wasn’t market size: at an event of that magnitude and difficulty, it was quite an accomplishment and he looked incredible that day. Her second litter sired by Sunset at Morgan’s sold in our April sale and they were LEGIT (see blue gilt pictured), We have a boar pig on feed out of that litter that really looks the part at this stage in the game as well. Pedigree-wise, it’s no surprise she’s been a generator: how many times has the Trumpet boar popped up in pedigrees of elite animals that have surfaced this past year? It’s been a BUNCH! Her dam Outta Line 254-4 (pictured) was a double bred Best Man sow we called “Juno” that made ALOT of winners for us and grand dam 132-1 (Hired Man x Monumental 43-3) was probably even more successful. ELITE opportunity here and to sweeten the deal even more she’s mated to Slaps at Coulson’s.

LOT 23 198-6 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE FORESIGHT SIRE
BLURRED VISION 113-2 DAM
DIFFERENT LEAGUE SERVICE SIRE
7/5/2024 DUE DATE OCT-19 BIRTH DATE

Extra fun sow here with a pedigree lined with tremendous heritage from our program. 198-6 “Clover” herself was a highly successful show gilt for Amanda Carter in the Northwest in 2020 and after her show career she became an extremely good generating female for our program. She is dammed by the highly impressive 113-2 (Blurred Vision x Visionary 71-2) sow (pictured) who wrote quite a story of her own, and grand dam 71-2 was the dam of Overruled we sold to Upperhand, and also the Grand Champion Barrow at Arizona Nationals in 2017. 198-6 has farrowed 8 litters and averaged 10 born alive and nearly 8 weaned. Her most recent Trick Daddy litter sold in April and contained a very impressive barrow, and she also had a tremendously deep End Game litter we sold in May of last year. Her pending mating to Different League can be lethal – and it can probably have some tremendous marketability as well!

LOT 26 21-4 BREED CROSS

FAMILY MAN SERVICE SIRE
7/8/2024 DUE DATE MAY-21 BIRTH DATE
Gorgeous little sow with a bulletproof build and lots of longevity! 21-4 has been one of Russell’s favorites and she was a gilt we sent to the Lilley crew in Texas to show for a while before bringing her back here to be a sow. Her dam Never Before 61-10 (pictured) was also a gorgeous little sow that we lost too early. Grand dam Straight Survivor 142-2 (also pictured) was the dam of BD 40-1 in stud at Top Cut, and a boar we raised and used extensively here. 21-4’s best litter thus far was sired by Game of Thrones and included the stud (pictured) in our March sale this year. She is carrying one of the very first Family Man litters and NO DOUBT they will be extremely fun!

LOT 27 132-7 BREED CROSS

132-7 is a littermate to both May We All 132 and Cobalt that we sold to Shaffer’s and her dam was the great 254-2 Visionary x Swagger 3-6 sow (pictured) that sold in last year’s Legacy Sale to Chase Fite. 132-7 has had five very good litters and averaged 8 weaned. She is the dam of the Grand Overall at the Colusa County Fair in 2022 (pictured) sired by American Spirit. We loved that barrow so much that we made a repeat mating which were the 13 litter pigs we sold in March this year. She’s currently carrying Buckle Downs which by all accounts should be ridiculously fun.

LOT 28 25-7 CHESTER WHITE

CHILI DOG SIRE
BOOMAWANG 1-1 DAM
7/9/2024 DUE DATE MAY-21 BIRTH DATE BEL AIR SERVICE SIRE
We’re just offering one Chester this year in the Legacy Sale, and we can assure you she is a darn good one. 25-7 is sired by the Chili Dog boar that stood at West Texas Genetics and helped those guys build the dominant Chester program they have today. Her dam 1-1 was an incredibly stout female that we sold (via a bred sow) to the Osborn family from Potter Valley, CA. When we saw her litter a year later at CYAE it was non-negotiable – we HAD to buy the 1-1 gilt back! She was as stout of a Chester as you’d ever find in terms of bone and sheer power and she always generated really well. 25-7 is the best daughter she gave us. 25-7 had a Captain Obvious litter we sold in March that looked extremely good (two gilts pictured). Perhaps even more impressive were her 208 litter Hired Guns farrowed last summer (barrow pictured we sold at Invasion). We retained two 208 litter gilts to move forward with and we are offering 25-7 to one lucky buyer in the Legacy Sale. She’s bred to Bel Air in stud here, who will soon be much more widely know once his pigs hit the ground!

JUL-21 BIRTH DATE

The “Reedy” sow has been a real fun one and no doubt is one of the highlights of the Legacy Sale this year. She came to us from our good friend Bret Reedy up in northern Washington. He purchased her as a baby pig from us and called to let us know, “hey you might want this one back”. Bret wasn’t kidding. She’s sired by a boar we studded here bred by Schwecke that we called Dirty Zack – we definitely should have had ALOT more litters out of him. He was a direct Dirty Secret son out of a Blurred Vision x Visionary and a full sib to the Champion Hamp at San Antonio in 2019 and Reserve Hamp at San Antonio in 2020. 139-3’s dam was the biggest ended, most massive Rule 21 sow out of Colt 45 78-1 – REALLY productive, thick made, giant bold ribbed females. Now here’s the really fun part: 139-3 has only farrowed two litters for us– her first being the 22 litter Rowdy Rebounds (pictured as prospects) which sold extremely well and went on to win for the Reedys – Grand AND Reserve at the Spokane Interstate Fair– one of the biggest fairs in the northwest. 139-3’s second litter sired by Different League we recently sold in the May 1 online sale (also pictured) with the two barrows offered bringing $7750 and $2700. 139-3 is bred back to Family Man, which should be a textbook mating – there is no question these pigs will be extra valuable.

These 140’s were farrowed summer of 21 and they never left the farm – we just knew that they would be great keeper gilts and they haven’t let us down. 140-9 is the dam of the highly impressive 43 litter pigs we sold in our April 6 farm sale (pictured). She also raised the 112 Quite Franklys we sold last summer (barrow pictured) and that litter included a GORGEOUS keeper gilt that remains here in Colusa. She’s averaged 10 born alive and 8.5 weaned through four litters and she is bred back to Different League for a mating that we already know works!

LOT 31 257-3 BREED CROSS
BRED FEMALE OUTBREAK SIRE MONSTER SQUARE 46-1 DAM

7/13/2024 DUE DATE
NOV-20 BIRTH DATE BUCKLE DOWN SERVICE SIRE
257-3 has been an outstanding female for our program and she’s paid her way litter after litter. She is dammed by the great 46-1 Monster Square x Warfare 73-6 sow and mentioning her brings back lots of memories – I wish I could remember them all. 46-1 was the Champion Crossbred Gilt at NJSA western Regional in 2015. More importantly, she raised the Grand Barrow at Indiana State Fair 2017, and ALOT of other winners. A quick search of 46-1 in our sow file and retired sow file turns up 30+ individuals. Her dam, Warfare 73-6, shared the same mom as Shooter and California Kid – two very influential boars we made last decade. 257-3 herself was a winning show pig for both the Guthrie and Carson families in 2021 in the northwest on the jackpot circuit. Her most recent litter sired by American Spirit contained multiple very good individuals sold in our 4/6 sale (pictured). She’s mated to the most exciting boar of her career and it should be very very good –we will tell you this one has farrowed early 5 out of 6 trips through the crate – make sure she gets in the crate WELL BEFORE her due date!

DIFFERENT LEAGUE SERVICE SIRE
7/27/2024 DUE DATE N/A BIRTH DATE
Outstanding May We All daughter here and we have been realizing the true value of the May We All daughters for some time now! May We All was ahead of his time, and we are not saying he was the answer to everything, but we sure wish we had about 50 more daughters. Added bonus here: 35-8’s mom was the 28-10 Renig sow – a direct daughter of Perfect Remedy 4-8. This is as close to royalty as we can offer you! The Renig 28’s built this much of program and I can honestly say we wouldn’t be very today without them: there were 5 in all. We kept 28-8, 28-9, 28-11, and 28-12 and we sold 28-10 to out friends the Malays who promised if they ever got out of business they’d give us first chance at what they made. Well, years later we got the opportunity to get 28-10 herself back along with 35-8 and her sister 35-6. 35-8 has farrowed four very nice litters, my favorites being the 74 litter Major Leagues offered in January this year (sale barrow pictured). She’s mated to Different for what’s almost guaranteed to be her very best litter yet and the females she’s carrying should have immense value!

138-1 share the same dam as lot 9 in this sale , which is the 215-1 225K x Colt 45 sow (pictured) that to this day was our very favorite 225K daughter. The Hands to Yourself daughters have proven invaluable and it’s hard to let one go that’s still in her prime and fully capable of generating big time winners. 138-10 has farrowed four litters for us and they’ve all been quite good: her 50 litter Next Intentions last year (pictured) were lots 1 and 2 leadoffs in the April 2023 farm sale. She followed with a highly impressive Major League litter offered this January, and her most recent Game of Thrones litter included two of the very best barrows we sold in the 5/21 sale last week. This sow can get it done on all levels and GUESS WHAT?? She’s bred to Different League !

DIFFERENT LEAGUE SERVICE SIRE
7/28/2024 DUE DATE JUL-20 BIRTH DATE

SUPER OPPORTUNITY to be offered as the last bred female listed in this year’s Legacy Sale! 134-6 is a highly impressive Back to the Future x 225K x No Fare 10-11 sow who has more than paid her way through her tenure here for us. Her grand dam was none other than the 10-11 No Fare sow who was Black Attack’s sister and Sunshine & Whiskey’s mom. Back to the Future’s sole purpose in life was to make daughters and he did an outstanding job – first at TKO Genetics and then here, and 134-6 is one that’s stood the test of time.
Pictured are her 102 litter Tricked clone pig sold last week, and two Next Intention pigs out of her sold in January. 134-6 has had litters sired by 3 Peat, Rowdy Rebound, Cease & Desist, Next, TO the Extreme, and Tricked Clone #2, and we can honestly say all of them have been good. She’s averaged 9.2 NBA and 8 weaned through those 6 litters. She is set up for some major success with her pending mating to Different League!

Every once in a while in this business you just luck into one and that’s exactly what happened with Toy Story. Special thanks to our good friend Andy Forehand for the heads up on this guy and we feel blessed to have him. Toy Story was lot 1 on Andy’s February sale and out of an incredible litter with high dollar barrow mates that are feeding incredible and winning at every level. A mate barrow at Guyer’s in Indiana has been Grand and Reserve Grand multiple times and the other on feed at Mabry’s in Texas really looks the part headed to Expo. Andy says Toy Story’s mom is the heaviest legged sow on the farm and she and her Secret Society dam have been awesome generators at Newcastle. An easy boar to fall in love with! Toy Story brings a SHARP look upfront with some extra big features AND he is both square hocked and strong pasterned! Toy Story’s pedigree is heavy with Dirty Secret influence and we think that helps explain how fundamentally good built this rascal is.

LOT 42 & 43 MEISHAN BOARS

It’s just about breeding season, especially for those of us in the western United States and also in the midwest. We wish we could say getting sows bred was easy, but truth be told it’s never been harder to get sows settled and farrow big litters in this business. Make sure you give yourself the best possible chance you can by using a Meishan boar. We have a pen full of November born Meishans ready to go to work! I’ve been raising show pigs for over 30 years and I thought we had some good heat check boars in the past – ABSOLUTELY NOTHING COMPARES to a Meishan! Best part about them is they are docile, easy to handle, and they will make your sows lock up! Text Russell or Dustin with any questions or for some videos on what these guys can do. They are the REAL DEAL!
