Title: Strut (2014) Artist: Lenny Kravitz Release Date: 09.23.2014 Genre: Rock

Music icon Lenny Kravitz returns with his tenth studio album “Strut” and is the first release on Kravitz’s own Roxie Records. Like his previous efforts, “Strut” is written, arranged, produced and composed by Kravitz. The Grammy winner and multi-instrumentalist, stylistically infuses edgy funk and psychedelic rock, while maintaining the classic sound that only Kravitz can deliver. The upbeat, 12 track album “Strut”, begins with the infectious grooves of “Sex” and then seduces you into the retro sounds of “The Chamber”. “Dirty White Boots” is reminiscent of what has been Kravitz trademark from day one and the title track “Strut” packs a mean punch of Rock ‘N’ Roll. The latter half of the albums slows things down with the reflective sounds of 70’s soulful grooves of “Frankenstein”, “She’s a Beast and “I Never Want to Let You Down”. The last track on the album, “Ooo Baby Baby” is a cover of the 1965 hit single by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. There are also two additional tracks, “Sweet Gitchey Rose” and “Can’t Stop Thinkin’ Bout You” included on the bonus track version of “Strut”. Kravitz has always displayed a fondness for modernizing rock music of the 60’s and 70’s and “Strut” pays homage and makes old sound new again. Kravitz proves once again that he can successfully incorporate a variety of musical styles to attract new fans and satisfy existing fans. “Strut”, over all is what Kravitz is all about, the love of Rock “N” Roll. This album deserves a four star rating for reintroduces the sound of what has made Lenny Kravitz the rock legend his is today.
