Kabi Kabi Aboriginal Corporation

The Kabi Kabi Aboriginal Corporation is dedicated to providing accessible, affordable, and secure housing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities throughout the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions of Queensland.
Since our establishment in 1989, we’ve expanded our housing portfolio through new construction, property purchases, and refurbishment, all while managing properties with a focus on community well-being.
Our first-ever unit development project, in partnership with the Department of Housing, represents a major milestone. This groundbreaking initiative has required careful planning and strong collaboration, leading to a forward-thinking approach that will shape the future of our developments.
Our deep understanding of community housing drives an ambitious vision for growth. In addition to expanding our housing stock, we are working toward creating a Social Enterprise Business Division to strengthen our financial resources and ensure long-term sustainability.
At the core of the Kabi Kabi Aboriginal Corporation is a commitment to care, reflecting a culture of empathy that permeates everything we do. Our progressive mindset allows us to adapt, plan, and grow in ways that
are both sustainable and cantered on the needs of our members.
Maintaining our registration with the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH) reinforces our dedication to high standards of governance, management, and service delivery. This ongoing compliance ensures that we remain transparent, accountable, and aligned with national best practices, providing confidence to our stakeholders and funding partners.
