Whittles Holiday Brochure 2026

Page 1

Go Whittle! Welcome to Whittles Centenary Year!

As we approach our 100th birthday, I had the great pleasure of chatting with Ron Whittle recently. I wanted to hear again how Whittles came to be and how it became a travel company, but Ron also peppered our conversation with great nuggets from his family’s past.

If you don’t know, Whittles was founded in 1926 when Ron’s dad was 21. He and his brother bought a pony and cart. They would drive miners to Highley Colliery, work a shift, then drive the colliers back home.

In 1930 the Whittles bought their first charabanc. They continued to provide transport, however, it wasn’t possible to operate holidays without an extended tour license. One of these was eventually acquired in 1970. Ron remembers that the first Whittles holiday was to Bournemouth, so that’s where we have decided to hold our ‘Centenary Celebration’ next year. There will be entertainment in the hotel, a toast to our first 100 years with the Whittles team and a birthday cake. Come and join in the fun!

The first Whittles continental holiday was to Paris and Ron drove the group himself. That was a bit of a trip into the unknown and it wasn’t without its challenges. We are recreating that tour too, but without the challenges. We’ve booked a 5-star hotel for you.

The touring brand ‘Go Whittle’ was established, which we have decided to reinvent for our 100th anniversary year. Where you see the ‘Go Whittle’ sign, we are offering a little extra for our centenary. There will be a courier on board as well as a driver, plus complimentary tea or coffee on board and a welcome glass of fizz at the hotel.

The team has delved into Whittles history to bring back a tour programme we hope makes the best of our past whilst looking towards the future with excitement. You may have noticed too that we've had a slight change of colour scheme to mark our golden occasion. We hope you’ll find holidays within these pages that will entice you to ‘Go Whittle!’

Thank you and enjoy leafing through the 2026 centenary programme.

Where would the Whittles team like to travel next year?

Rob (Head of Holidays) –It's so tricky to choose one holiday, but I'll plump for Romantic Highland Journeys. I love railways; it's such a lovely way to travel, particularly if there's a whiff of steam too. And the Highland scenery is world class!

Kerry (Reservations/ Operations) – I've so many memories of Whittles over the years, but my choice would Newquay. It's such a lovely place to be, with the added bonus of visiting St Ives, Falmouth and even the Isles of Scilly!

Robbie (Product Manager) –With interesting excursions and superb scenery, will Northumberland be my pick? Whay aye! It's also uncrowded, like a best-kept secret. And our hotel is right next to the River Tyne, with riverside promenade and the spectacular Tyne bridges overhead.

Danni (Reservations/ Operations) – It sells out quickly every time we offer it, plus I've heard so many good reports from customers, so would I recommend Abba Voyage? I do, I do, I do, I do I do!

5 Star London Weekend Break

Price Includes:

• Return coach travel

• One departure point from Whittles

• Bed & Breakfast at your hotel

• Use of leisure facilities

• Afternoon Tea Box on outward journey

A great opportunity has arisen to stay at a 5 star hotel in London at great value. The Courthouse Hotel in Shoreditch sits in the midst of Shoreditch’s creative hub. Set in a Grade II Listed Baroque building which was once Old Street Magistrates Court and Police Station, this was the scene of many high-profile court cases, not least the East London mobsters, the Kray Twins. As well as holding such notorious criminals, the police station also held Eric Arthur Blair, better known as George Orwell of ‘1984’ and ‘Animal Farm’ fame. Despite the history of the Courthouse, we hope you’ll find nothing criminal in this great value Whittles weekend at a luxury 5 star hotel!

Itinerary

Day 1 – To get us quickly on our way we’ve decided to use just one departure point at the Whittles depot in Kidderminster. Please feel free to leave your car with us if necessary in our parking spaces. We then hotfoot to London for a night at the Courthouse. From here on in the time is yours to spend as you wish and maybe even take in a show.

Day 2 – We include breakfast at the Courtyard Hotel, after which you have more free time to explore London. We will depart in the early evening for the journey back to Kidderminster.

In the run up to Whittle’s 100th birthday, we asked Ron Whittle whether he could recall the first ever holidays operated under the Whittle banner. For several decades previously the company had transported workers, then day trippers. You couldn’t operate package tours without an ‘extended tour license’, however, one was acquired in 1970. The very first Whittles holiday destination was Bournemouth, so we thought it would be a great opportunity to book two coaches worth of accommodation at the lovely Suncliff Hotel in the Dorset resort. There will be entertainment in the evenings, including a birthday celebration with Whittles Centenary cake, with the Whittles team on hand to celebrate with you in style – just like the very first tour! Go Whittle!

We traverse the New Forest on our way to Beaulieu, where your ticket includes entry to the Motor Museum, home to 280 vehicles, from Formula 1 cars to land speed record breakers. Romantic Highland Journeys

We have decided to run one of our most popular tours twice in our centenary year, with a departure in the early season and one in the autumn colour. Imagine three completely contrasting train excursions on one tour, from the pastoral Strathspey Steam Railway chugging gently along a preserved heritage line, to the iconic Jacobite Steam Train crossing the most photographed glen in Scotland on the glorious Glenfinnan Viaduct. Then there’s the Kyle Line, crossing the mountains on its way to the coast, within touching point of Skye. And that’s just the trains!

Included excursions

Aviemore Steam Railway & the Spey Valley

After a little free time in Aviemore we board the Strathspey Steam Railway for the 45-minute journey through the Spey Valley, surrounded by the Cairngorms in all their glory. We also enjoy some free time in lovely Grantown on Spey. Kyle Line & Skye

We board the ScotRail service in Inverness for ‘one of the most beautiful rail journeys in Europe’, according to Michael Palin. Our Head of Own Products, Rob, put rail holidays together for 15 years and he agrees. It’s a coast-to-coast spectacular through rugged mountain scenery, then descending through watery landscapes and places like Plockton, where Hamish MacBeth was filmed. Journey’s end is Kyle of Lochalsh, from where our coach collects you to sightsee on the Isle of Skye.

We board our train in Fort William for the two-hour journey to Mallaig, absorbing beautiful views of lochs and mountains. After crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous by the Harry Potter films, but whose real highlight is the extraordinary vviews of Glenshiel, the terrain is rocky before the Small Isles of Rum, Eigg and Muck tantalisingly dot in and out of sight. At Morar you can see the tiny unspoilt beaches with their silver sands, before journey’s end at Mallaig. The coach returns us via Glenfinnan and the Caledonian Canal.

The Torquay Steam Spectacular Go Whittle! Back to the 70s Mini-Cruise

Step back in time on two of the southwest’s loveliest heritage railways. The South Devon Railway and the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway were once part of the same Great Western Railway network, yet they are so contrasting. On this tour we enjoy both, plus a boat cruise and lots of entertainment and activities at our Torquay base.

Included excursions

South Devon Railway & Brixham

Price Includes:

• Return coach travel

• Door to Door service

• Half-board at your hotel

• Nightly entertainment and many activities at the hotel

• Excursions as described

• Rides on the South Devon Railway and Dartmouth Steam Railway

• Boat trip on the River Dart

• Afternoon Tea Box on outward journey

Closed to passengers in 1958 but thankfully preserved by volunteers as a heritage railway, the South Devon Railway runs for 6 ½ miles between the charming stations of Totnes and Buckfastleigh through tranquil woodlands alongside the River Dart. We’ll have time for you to visit the railway’s small museum, if you wish, before heading for the coast for free time in Brixham.

The Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway

Similar in length to the South Devon Railway, but so different in terms of scenery, the Dartmouth Steam Railway rose from the ashes of a line closed in 1968. It’s hard to believe now that this experience could have been lost forever. Leaving Paignton there are incredible coastal views to the left, particularly around Goodrington Sands, with its colourful beach huts. Around halfway through the journey focus switches to the right, with boats bobbing in the Dart Estuary and Dartmouth in the distance. A short ferry takes us across to Dartmouth, where we enjoy a boat trip on the River Dart.

We are beginning to work with Ambassador Cruise Lines to bring you great value ocean cruises in the future. For 2026 we thought we’d offer a taster cruise, sailing from London Tilbury to Portsmouth via Zeebrugge, with transfers to and from the ship and a Whittles courier on board. It’s a great chance to see whether cruising is your thing, superb value and, what’s more, onboard entertainment is 1970s themed, which fits with when Go Whittle started to run holidays!

Included On-Board

Price Includes:

• Coach travel to Tilbury and from Portsmouth

• Door to Door service

• Go Whittle! courier on board

• Complimentary Tea/Coffee on board the coach

• Breakfast, lunch and 5 course evening meals

• Nightly live entertainment from well-known acts

• Lots of daytime activities on board

• Use of gym, swimming pool and hot tubs

• Inside Cabin (upgrades to Outside Cabins, Balcony Cabins and Suites are available)

• Afternoon Tea Box on outward journey Not Included:

• Drinks on board

• Gratuities (£7 per person per night, payable on board)

• Shore excursions

All meals are included on board the ship, which includes breakfast, lunch and 5-course evening meal. You also have access to the ship’s leisure facilities and entertainment programme. The theme for this mini-cruise is ‘Back to the 70s’ and there will be 1970s-themed quizzes and cabaret shows that take you back in time. Whilst the artists are subject to change, at the time of writing scheduled to appear are Odyssey, known for their infectious rhythms and soulful melodies, including ‘Native New Yorker’ and ‘Going back to my Roots’. Also scheduled is the much-loved 1970s act, The Real Thing, whose hits included ‘You to me are Everything’ and ‘Can’t get by without you’. 5 days / 4 nights 3 days / 2 nights

Flavours of Flanders & Floral Brussels

Here’s another new tour for 2026 that you won’t find anywhere else. British tourists have been travelling to the Dutch bulbfields by coach since at least the 1950s, even before the famous Keukenhof gardens were a thing. Imagine a moated chateau on the outskirts of Brussels, where planters from Keukenhof itself designed spring floral displays. Combine this charming mini-Keukenhof with a lovely day in Ghent and a visit to the poignant In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres and you’ve experienced the wonderful variety of our small neighbour.

Included excursions

Floralia at Chateau Grand Bigard

The moated castle in its magnificent park forms the setting for Floralia Brussels. Each spring, the extravagant floral exhibition of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths delights visitors' senses anew. Its colourful floral labyrinth is a true feast for the eyes! Ghent and Boat Trip

Bruges has become quite difficult to visit by coach, so we have opted for its quieter but equally beautiful near neighbour, Ghent. With its gabled houses, gentle waterways and incredible St Barf’s Cathedral, Ghent is one of Europe’s most underrated gorgeous cities. The altarpiece at St Baaf’s, Van Eyck’s ‘Adoration of the Mystic Lamb’ is considered to be the artist’s masterpiece. We include free time in Ghent, with an included boat trip along its waterways.

Ypres & In Flanders Fields

We visit the lovely town of Ypres, torn apart by the ravages of World War One just before the founding of Whittles, yet rebuilt exquisitely. We include entrance to the In Flanders Fields Museum, contained within the town’s ornate centrepiece, the Cloth Hall. There is also free time to explore the town, maybe visit the poignant Menin Gate or sample a Belgian beer in one of the many cafes flanking the main square.

Price Includes:

• Return coach travel

• Door to Door service

Go Whittle! Europe

We wanted to celebrate Whittles’ centenary year in style, but also offer tours relevant to the Whittle family’s background. We managed to catch up with Ron Whittle to talk about the early days of touring with Go Whittle. The first ever Whittles continental tour was to Paris, driven by Ron himself. Those were pioneering days and not without challenges. Not so here though, as we’ve arranged a 5 star hotel for this special break and excursions designed to give you a flavour of the ‘City of Light’.

Whilst the Eiffel Tower is probably the city’s most famous icon, a trip to the top of Montparnasse Tower is highly recommended as if affords unparalleled views of both the Eiffel Tower and many other landmarks.

Go Whittle! England

the Yorkshire Coast

Here’s a special scoop for Whittle’s centenary year –how about a stay in a Yorkshire castle hotel that does not normally accommodate tour groups?! Cave Castle is located in exquisite grounds in the peaceful village of South Cave at the gateway to the gentle Yorkshire Wolds. Normally they just take individual bookings and golf parties, as there is a golf course in the grounds. However, Rob ran the South Cave 10k race recently (he didn’t quite finish last!), setting off from Cave Castle, couldn’t resist popping inside for a coffee and came away with a date for the Whittles Centenary. Go Whittle!

Included excursions

It is compact, offering lots of museums, independent shops aplenty, the lovely institution that is Betty’s and an almost complete city wall. We also include a river cruise on the Ouse to give you a different perspective from the water.

If, after our confirmation has been issued, you wish to change to another of our holidays or change departure date, we will do our utmost to make the changes, but we cannot guarantee to do so. However, notification must be received in writing at our offices from the person who signed the booking form. This must be accompanied by a payment of £20 to cover our administrative costs, plus costs we incur in making the amendment. Alterations may not be able to be made within 6 weeks of departure and any such request for an alteration will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and will be subject to the cancellation charges set out in paragraph below. Some arrangements cannot be changed without paying a cancellation charge of up to 100% of the ticket cost.

6 CAN YOU CHANGE THE PRICE OF MY PACKAGE AFTER YOU HAVE ISSUED THE BOOKING CONFIRMATION?

On all coach holidays, we operate a ‘No Surcharge Guarantee’. The price of your coach holiday is fully guaranteed and will not be subject to any surcharges.

7 TRANSFERRING YOUR BOOKING

You can transfer your booking to somebody else but the person must satisfy all the conditions of the holiday and you must inform us either by letter or email no less than 7 days before departure. This transfer will cost £20 plus reasonable costs to make the transfer. You will remain responsible for ensuring payment. This is in addition to (and does not affect) the separate responsibility of the transferee to us.

8 IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY

You or any member of your party may cancel your holiday at any time provided the cancellation is made by the person signing the booking form and is communicated to us in writing via the office who made your original booking. You must pay cancellation charges to cover our administration costs and to compensate for the risk of us not reselling the holiday. If the holiday is resold a refund will be made. Your cancellation will take effect from the date on which we or our agent receive your written confirmation of your cancellation. You must also return any tickets or vouchers you have received. A reduction in room occupancy may increase the charges for the remaining passengers by the application of supplements for low occupancy of rooms. Where bought in supplies, such as ferries, hotel accommodation etc have been bought in on your behalf, and where the terms and conditions of the supplier are non-refundable, these products will be charged to you at the full retail rate. If this applies, the non-refundable items will be deducted from your holiday costs and the following scale of charges (See Point 9) will be applied to the remainder:

10 ALTERATIONS TO YOUR HOLIDAY BY US

We hope that we will not have to make any change to your holiday but, because our holidays are planned many months in advance, we sometimes do need to make minor changes. We reserve the right to do this at any time. We will let you or your booking agent know about any important changes as soon as possible, including the minimum number of passengers required on the trip. If after booking, and before departure, we make a major change to your holiday, you will have the option of withdrawing from the holiday without penalty or transferring to another holiday without any charge. In either case, we will pay you compensation, according to the scale set below. A major change includes the time of your departure or return time by more than 12 hours, a change in departure point, location of resort or type of hotel, a change in cross channel travel. If we tell you about any of these changes after we have confirmed your holiday booking (other than force majeure), you may either:

- accept the new arrangements offered by us; or

- accept a replacement holiday from us of equivalent or similar standard and price (at the date of the change), if we can offer you one; or - cancel your holiday with us and receive a full refund of all monies Either way, we will pay you compensation, using the Compensation table shown. (See Point 11)

You are also advised to check with The Foreign and Commonwealth Office Advice Unit regularly at www.fco.gov.uk/travel prior to travel.

All holidays operate if the minimum number of participants is met. However, in no case will we cancel your holiday less than 4 weeks before the scheduled departure date, except where you have failed to pay the final balance or because of force majeure (force majeure means an event which we or the suppliers of the services in question could not foresee or avoid and is therefore beyond our control).

12 OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU

We accept responsibility for ensuring the holiday which you book with us is supplied as described in our publicity material and the services offered reach a reasonable standard and if you are in difficulty we will assist you. If any part of our holiday contract is not provided as promised, you may terminate the contract without paying a termination fee and we will pay you appropriate compensation if this has affected your enjoyment of your holiday. We will however, not be liable if there are any unforeseeable or unavoidable action of a third party not connected with our travel services, or there were unavoidable or extraordinary circumstances, or the lack of conformity is due to a traveller in the party. We accept responsibility for the acts and/or omissions of our employees, agents and suppliers except where they lead to death, injury or illness. Our liability in all cases shall be limited to a maximum of twice the value of the original holiday cost (not including insurance premiums and amendment charges). We accept responsibility for death, injury, or illness caused by the negligent acts and/or omissions of our employees or agents together with our suppliers and sub-contractors, servants and/or agents of the same whilst acting within the scope of, or during their employment in the provision of your holiday. We will accordingly pay to our clients such damages as might have been awarded in such circumstances under English Law. In respect of carriage by air, sea, tunnel and rail and the provision of accommodation our liability in all cases will be limited in the manner provided by the relevant international convention. If we make any payment to you or any member of your party for death or personal injury or illness, you will be asked to assign to us or our insurers the rights you may have to act against the person or organisation responsible for causing the death, personal injury or illness. This clause does not apply to any separate contracts that you may enter for excursions or activities during or outside of your holiday. If you or any member of your party suffer death, illness or injury whilst overseas arising out of an activity which does NOT form part of your holiday, we may offer guidance and where legal action is contemplated and you want our assistance, you must obtain our written consent prior to any proceedings (We limit the cost of our assistance to you or your party to £5000 per party).

IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT

If you have a problem during your holiday, please inform your Driver or the relevant Supplier/Resort Representative immediately who will endeavour to put things right. If your complaint cannot be completely resolved locally, you must complete a Holiday Report Form which can be obtained by your Driver or local Representative, which you should keep. Our contact number, for unresolved complaints will be our office number on 01562 820002 (Open in Office Hours). If you remain dissatisfied please follow this up within 14 days of your return home by writing to the Office Manager at Whittle Coach and Bus Limited, giving your original booking reference number and all other relevant information, including the reference of the Holiday Report Form. It is therefore a condition of this contract that you communicate any problem to the supplier of the services in question AND to our Representative whilst in resort and obtain a written report form. If you fail to follow this simple procedure, we cannot accept responsibility, as we have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify the problem. Should your complaint not be resolved and you wish to pursue the complaint further the Bonded Coach Holiday Group have an Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme and full details are available from BCH/CPT. Please contact them at, the Confederation of Passenger Transport, Fifth Floor South, Chancery House, 53-64 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1QS.

OUR COACHES-SEATING ARRANGEMENTS

We will always use our reasonable endeavours to provide a coach to the specification in our brochure or advert, but reserve the right to substitute an alternative vehicle should there be unforeseen circumstances. There is a seating plan but in some cases, operational reasons may require a coach with a different configuration. We reserve the right to alter a coach seating plan and allocate seats other than those booked. Single passengers may be required to share a double seat with other single passengers. When your booking is confirmed, you will be given a choice of seats that are available at that time. Specific seats will not be allocated on coaches operating a feeder service between joining points and main holiday departure points or on coaches that carry out transfers between airports, seaports etc.

If you feel that you require two seats, then these must be purchased in advance at the time of booking. If you fail to do this and it transpires that the seat allocated is insufficient for your needs and there is no alternative seating available, then you will be refused access to the coach and any payments made will be liable to forfeiture.

15 HOTELS & HOTEL FACILITIES

Some hotel facilities and entertainment may be withdrawn for routine maintenance or be subject to seasonal availability and provision of the facilities cannot be guaranteed. Single occupancy of rooms may be subject to a supplementary charge.

Single Room Occupancy: Single occupancy of rooms when available may be subject to a supplementary charge and this will be shown on the brochure page. Also these charges may vary once we have exceeded the available rooms within our initial allocation from the hotel. Any applicable supplementary charges will be advised to you at the time of booking by a member of our Reservations Team.

Entertainment: Some of our hotels arrange additional entertainment. Where this is part of the package details are given on the respective brochure page. Where it is not specified it may still be available but is at the discretion of the hotel and is not guaranteed. It may be withdrawn if there is a lack of demand or for operational reasons.

16 HEALTH AND SAFETY

In some foreign countries, standards of infrastructure, safety and hygiene may be lower than those to which we are accustomed in the UK. You should therefore exercise greater care for your own protection. There may be countries that we visit that have special medical requirements for tourists. These regulations are subject to change and our clients are responsible for complying with entry and current health requirements. If you are not sure of the health requirements for the country you are visiting, you are advised to check with your own GP before travelling. You are also advised to refer to the Department of Health leaflet “Health Advice for Travellers”

Some people may be at risk from discomfort or deep vein thrombosis (DVT) if they remain immobile on a journey for a long period. If you are planning to undertake a journey of more than three hours, you should consult your doctor, if you have ever had DVT, pulmonary embolism, a family history of clotting conditions, cancer or treatment for cancer, stroke, and heart or lung disease or If you have had major surgery in the past three months.

We reserve the right to refuse any booking in the absence of a doctor’s certificate confirming that you are fit to travel. Where we provide comfort stops you are encouraged to walk around. Exercise reduces any discomfort, which may be caused by periods of immobility.

SMOKING is not allowed on our coaches (including E-Cigarettes) and we do not allow pets or any other animals, although we accommodate registered assistance dogs, but not on overseas holidays.

17 TRAVEL DOCUMENTS, ITINERARIES, PICK-UP POINTS AND PASSPORTS

For all Continental holidays, you will require a full 10-year British Passport (machine readable) valid for the period required for the country or countries you are visiting. If you do not hold a full British Passport or you have any doubts about your status as a resident British subject, you must check with the Embassy or Consulates of the Countries to be visited to confirm the Passport or visa requirements when you book. We cannot accept responsibility if passengers are not in possession of the correct travel documents. For full details on passport requirements, please contact ‘the identity and passport service’ on 0300 222 0000 (www.direct.gov.uk)”

You are responsible for ensuring you are at the correct departure point, at the correct time and with the correct documents. Whittle Coach and Bus Limited reserve the right to modify itineraries to conform with requests from competent authorities both within the UK and abroad. Excursions which are included in the cost of your booking are detailed on the brochure page and refunds will not be made for excursions not taken. Optional excursions booked and paid for in resort do not form part of your booking. Admission fees to buildings may not be included in the price of the holiday, please check.

18 SPECIAL REQUESTS

All special needs and requests, if agreed, should be conveyed at the time of booking and be included in the confirmation of the holiday. These cannot be guaranteed except where confirmed as part of our holiday commitment to you and are detailed on your holiday booking confirmation. We are keen to ensure that we plan the arrangements for your holiday so that special needs and requests can be accommodated as far as possible. If you will need assistance, or may be unable to fully enjoy all aspects of your holiday you must tell us in advance so that we can maximise your enjoyment of the holiday. We will need to know if you will need special facilities in the hotel, taking part in the excursions or have difficulty boarding and travelling on the coach or other means of transport. Before booking your holiday, you should be sure that you and your party are both physically and mentally capable of completing the itinerary. If you need advice or further information, you or your booking agent should contact our Reservations Team. If you will require a special diet please tell us at the time of booking, or as soon as you are medically advised, together with a copy of the diet.

19 GROUND OR LOW FLOOR ROOMS

You should also tell us about any other requests, for example, low floor rooms, particular rooms or locations. We will pass your request to the relevant supplier but this does not necessarily mean that your request will be fulfilled. If a request can be fulfilled you may incur an extra charge payable either to us or direct to the hotel. Please note that requests cannot be guaranteed unless we confirm on your booking confirmation that this is a guaranteed requirement.

20 PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES

We want everyone to enjoy our travel arrangements. We are happy to advise and assist you in choosing a suitable holiday. But, as some of the accommodation and resorts featured may not cater for even minor disabilities, it is important that, when booking, you advise us of any disability, specific need or complex need you may have and any special requirements that will make sure the holiday is suitable. If a passenger requires personal assistance (for example, assistance with feeding, dressing, toileting, mobilising) then this passenger must travel with an able-bodied companion or carer and written confirmation that such assistance will be provided for the entirety of the holiday is required at the time of booking. Coach Drivers/Tour Managers are unable to provide such assistance.

IMPORTANT You must tell us if you have an existing medical condition, disability or complex need that may affect your holiday or other group members’ enjoyment of it, before you book your holiday. We reserve the right to request a doctor’s certificate confirming the passenger is fit to travel. If, in our reasonable opinion, your chosen holiday is not suitable for your medical condition or disability, we reserve the right to refuse your booking. You are responsible for bringing with you the proper clothing and equipment, which we advise you about in our printed trip information. We want you to enjoy your holiday and will help you select an appropriate trip.

Whilst we will make every reasonable adjustment to do so, if we are unable to accommodate the needs of a passenger or believe that the medical condition or disability of a passenger is likely to adversely affect other passengers, we reserve the right to decline the booking. We also reserve the right to cancel any holiday and impose cancellation charges if we are not fully advised of any relevant disability or medical condition at the time the booking is made and subsequently decide that we are unable to accommodate this passenger. This applies whether we advise that we are unable to accommodate a passenger either before departure or during the holiday and if this occurs during the holiday then we will seek the additional costs of returning the passenger home. We want you to enjoy your package and will try to help you select an appropriate trip. If you need advice or further information either you or your booking agent should contact 01562 820002.

MOBILITY SCOOTER POLICY

Please note that we can accept one ‘compact’ electric mobility scooter per holiday. Our definition of ‘compact’ is that the scooter is class 1 specification; i.e. it must be designed to be dismantled, so that it can be loaded into the boot of a car. The actual maximum sizes of class 1 mobility scooters are:

Length – 1200mm Width – 700mm max Maximum Weight – 60Kgs (We cannot accept class 2 scooters as these are too large and heavy to lift). If you or any other member of your party is abusive, disruptive or behaves in a way that could cause damage or injury to others or affect their enjoyment of their holiday or which could damage property, we have the right to terminate your contract with us and we will have no further liability or obligation to you. If you are refused boarding on the outward journey we will regard it as a cancellation by you and we will apply cancellation charges. If the refusal is on your return journey, we have the right to terminate the contract with you. We also request that mobile telephones are not used on the coach save for exceptional circumstances.

24 LUGGAGE

Please restrict your luggage to one medium sized suitcase (a medium sized suitcase is approximately 36” x 18” x 10”) per person, weighing no more than 44lbs (20Kgs). A small holdall can also be taken on board the coach. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to luggage unless it is established that it is caused by our negligence. On holidays which include overnight stops, you may take a small overnight bag with you. Please do not leave items of value in your main suitcase which is left on the coach. Should loss or damage occur you may be able to claim through your holiday travel insurance.

25 EMERGENCY 24 HOURS TELEPHONE NUMBER

A member of staff is always on hand 24 hours a day, to help either before your holiday, or on the day of departure by telephoning 01562 820002. At the beginning of your holiday, our courier will provide a contact telephone number. This number should be used if you require any assistance during your holiday.

26 DATA PROTECTION ACT

We retain your full contact details and other information in secure files and electronic storage facilities. We may use this information to contact you by mail, telephone or electronic means. We must pass your information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements and we take full responsibility for ensuring that proper measures are in place to protect your information.
