REAL We’re for

Our Reimagining Experiential & Applied Learning (REAL) approach to education brings experiential learning into every single course you take at JWU.

Instead of traditional lectures, you’ll learn through active lessons that can include field work, simulations, labs, field trips and more. You’ll take part in exciting, real-world learning opportunities that truly prepare you for your chosen field.

Providence has earned its nickname of “The Creative Capital” for its dynamic art scene — our Downcity Campus puts you in the center of it all. Steps from campus, you can explore the historic streets, unique shops, renowned restaurants, cozy cafés and live entertainment venues that surround JWU.

For ocean views and greenspace, take a quick shuttle ride to Harborside Campus, which is home to our athletic facilities, College of Food Innovation & Technology and several residence halls.
