We are so excited to welcome FName to Johnson & Wales in the fall! This time of year is always exciting — our 2025 graduates are preparing to accept their diplomas and celebrate their accomplishments, and now we get to look ahead to welcoming our new Wildcats and their families at Accepted Student Orientation.

This summer is an important time for FName to prepare for being a student at JWU, and attending Accepted Student Orientation this summer is an important step. We host thoughtful and fun orientation programming, knowing that it will be an essential part of providing a smooth transition into this next chapter in your student’s life. It is an expectation that all students attend.
In addition to the opportunity to make new friends, orientation provides key information about life at JWU. Students learn how to prepare for living on campus; how to get involved with clubs and organizations to network and try something new; how to prepare for classes and get the most out of JWU’s academic resources; and they can get to know the people and departments here to support them.
We also understand that students are not the only ones in transition right now. When a student heads off to college it often impacts their whole support system. For that reason, we have also designed a comprehensive Family & Guest Orientation so you can learn more about the academic landscape of the university, gain insights into the student experience at JWU and get practical information to answer all your questions.
