June 2020 For the first time in modern history, places of worship have been closed. Covid-19 has caused a great many difficulties on both a national and an individual level. In this troubling and uncertain time, although the church building is closed we are still wanting to connect with you. Please email connectntcgrochester@gmail.com if you are in need of anything and we will do our best to help in any way that we can.

What’s New

As an extension to the Women's Department, we have recently launched a new WhatsApp group named 'Blossom'. Blossom has been created so that we can stay in contact with our young ladies (aged 17-21) as well as inspire and encourage them in their relationship with God. It is our hope that our young ladies use this platform to freely ask questions and speak their minds so that we can help them to 'Blossom' in Christ. #BlossomInChrist John 15:1-5 For more information please contact Sis Selina or Sis Abi

Zoom Communion Service Sunday 5th July We will join together for our 1st Zoom Communion. As this is a sacrament I believe it is important for us to make a sacrifice and bake our communion bread. If you would like to participate in this sacrament please use the recipe below. As a result if you would like to participate please use the

recipe below to bake your communion bread. Recipe 250g plain flour 160ml cold water

Instructions 1.

Combine the flour and water and knead for 10 minutes. Quite

hard work but do not cut at this time; it is important.

2.

Divide the dough into 16 pieces and use the amount that is needed (eg 1 piece or 4 pieces)

3.

Roll each piece into a ball and flatten with a rolling pin on a lightly floured board to form 6-inch (15mm) circles.

4.

If wished, score with a small cross or other suitable motif.

5.

Cover with a slightly damp tea towel and leave for 10 minutes.

6.

Pierce the dough disks with a fork at around 1-inch (2cm) intervals and place on an ungreased baking sheet.

7.

Bake in the middle of a preheated 220°C (425°F, Gas Mark 7) oven for 7 minutes or until the discs are lightly coloured, blistered and crisp.

8.

If you want to store it baked and to keep crisp place in an airtight

tin or plastic container, in a cool dark place for to 2-3 weeks. Do not refrigerate Mathew 6:26-28, tells us that while they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Giving on Line Tithing: The word "tithe" means a "tenth" and it is a

way of honouring God with the first 10% of our income. The tithe is God’s provision to cover all of the expenses of the ministry from the local church.

Offering: In addition to the tithe we give offerings to

the Lord as we are each individually prompted to do. Offerings are given above the tithe and represent what the Bible calls ‘free-will offerings’. Free Will Gifts: Use your name or mark anonymous as the reference
