Hello Everyone, After the stop due to the Euro Qualifiers, the game V Europa Point was very complicated, although it’s no excuse but we were coming from a month long without playing a competitive game and that showed during the ninety minutes of that game. During the game team played well generating a few goal, scoring opportunities and they didn’t create many problems for us. With the 1-0 score line, it always creates a bad feeling as in any moment the game could have been level. The next game against the then leaders of the League Bruno Magpies was a very attractive game to watch, both teams wanting to win the game. Both teams with their style of play wanting to get towards the opponents goal. This game we could gauge we had a better rhythm of competition after the first game after the stop, this created we were more fluently when we had the ball and it showed with players movements off the ball. I think we were superior in this game although Bruno Magpies did a good game apart from the result, they did it difficult for us, but as in the other game we didn’t manage to convert the goal scoring opportunities we had, in this one we were converting most of the chances we were creating. We played at a very high level of football against them. Now today we play against St. Joseph, a very strong team and we will try to bring all the good things we have done in the past two games. We know the difficulty it entails and how difficult it will be against a team like St. Joseph.
Today’s Opponents St. Joseph St. Joseph FC was formed in 1912 and is one of the Oldest existing clubs in the Gibraltar League.
How ever they have won the title only once in the 1995-96 season. They have had better luck in the Rock Cup, The Gibtelecom Cup called now, were they have won 9 titles in their history. The last one came in 2013. Since Gibraltar became a member of UEFA, the Saints have seen more mixed fortunes, including narrowly avoiding relegation in the 2013-14 season, ending up in the relegation play-off and narrowly beating Mons Calpe to retain their Premier Division status. Since that near miss, they have consistently finished in the top half of the league, and in 2017 qualified for the UEFA Europa League for the first time with a 3rd-place finish, after Gibraltar had been given an additional spot in the competition. However, their maiden campaign would be short-lived as they suffered a resounding 10-0 aggregate defeat to AEL Limassol of Cyprus. Last season after finishing 3rd in the League and Europa FC beating Gibraltar United in the Cup Final, St. Joseph qualified for the Europa League. As Europa they went past the Prelimanary round beating Prishtina from Kosovo 3-1 in Aggregate. This gave them a dream tie against Scottish team Glasgow Rangers were they lost 10-0 in aggregate. They have strengthened the team including some Gibraltar National Players and they have winning the league as their top priority.
Last Game Won 2-0 against Boca Line Up

In the Europa Academy we are thrilled with what we are going to coach with our new equipment which will bring many hours of enjoyment to all our players. All will be focused in individual skill which we feel sometimes is left unattended and it forms the basics of any player. How to turn, dribble is not seen in many players. Improving their passing, ball control & shooting will also be in the season programme. Awareness, movements and 1 V 1 are also part of it. Players will be motivated and also tested in the skills coached. All in all players will enjoy being coached with progressions and all will be recorded . It will all be recorded to follow each players progression. Apart from this, each team with its coaches will follow a syllabus depending in each age group. Our SUPER HEROES acting as defenders!
We at Europa encourage our teams to play in tournaments and games against any opposition. Playing against better opposition makes better players.
Our under 6 recently played a tournament in Spain and had to play Betis, a great experience for all of them.
We at Europa support this initiative and will encourage every player to wear his GREEN training or playing shirt.
