A Winter Message John Shanahan with comment by Howard Lowe December 21, 2023

Greetings! Most of the human population lives in the Northern Hemisphere where December has the longest night of the year. It is cold. Plants are dormant. Animals are less active. Birds and butterflies have migrated to warmer climates. In the silence of the winter nights, there is a special wonder for the human spirit. Christmas, Hanukkah, and Winter Festivals that have been celebrated for at least 2000 years. This year, there are more sad stories and things to fear than in better times. Many politicians and power seeking evil people desiring power over others are working hard to create fear and misery when there is so much we can be happy and joyful about. Here are four photos that say a lot about the health of nature and climate. People should appreciate this and try to emulate these wonders in our personal lives.
