less than thirty customers and staff at the Lindt café in the Sydney’s CBD were taken hostage by an armed man early Monday morning. The gunman was described as being tall, in his late 40s and wearing a black bandana. The siege was brought to the public’s attention at around 9:45 am local time, Sydney. Local police have identified the gunman, but have not yet revealed his name to the public. The perpetrator had one of the hostages display a flag of the Islamic testament of faith against one of the café’s windows. A testament which reads:
