EXAMPLES OF WORK

I partnered with another designer to create this brand for the church I was a member of. This led to more opportunities to serve and create sub-universe branding for the college group and the kids program.

THE CHURCH LOGO CONCEPT:

COLLEGE GROUP BRAND:

KIDS CHURCH BRAND:

These are two branding options for Salem Church in Salem, PA. They chose the second concept and it is in use today.

A rebrand and collateral for non-profit charity art community program in Greenville, SC.

THE CONCEPT:

I did a complete brand kit and collateral for a startup drive through cafe in Palmer, Alaska.

At Jackson Marketing, I had the opportunity to create many campaigns and product launches for Michelin Mining.

While at Jackson Marketing, I took on the task of a complete rebrand of Hawk Performance, (industry leader in high-end brake products) including a new ad campaign, packaging, web and digital presence.

Sage Automotive Interiors was another consistent client of mine at Jackson. Over the course of several years, I concepted, directed photoshoots, and produced many marketing pieces for their sales team.

JO BEADIE

My name is Jo Beadie, and I am so glad you’re here. I hope you enjoyed viewing examples of my work. Here is a bit about me:

I was raised in Alaska. Fishing, hunting, mushing, hiking, shooing away moose so they don’t eat the cabbage in the garden—the whole shebang. It was the best way to grow up and I hope to raise my family in a similar manner. Beware bringing up this topic because I may or may not shut up.

So how did I get into design? Believe it or not, there are totally computers in igloos. In middle school, I borrowed my sister’s outdated Photoshop, and I was hooked. And since I was able to read a shampoo bottle, I’ve been hooked on brand strategy. (Ask me about that in the interview.)

After years of the school of YouTube, I went to Bob Jones University and majored in graphic design. I loved it so much. I was the annoying kid who always had all the answers to the professor’s questions. Each summer, I was the marketing director and designer for a local Alaskan Fair, where I got to see the practical, gritty side of the job. After graduation, I was hired out of my first internship as a full-time designer for a boutique agency, and it affirmed that this was the career for me. Even as a young punk, I got a lot of client face time, and I craved more strategy. I moved on to fulltime freelance work, then joined the Jackson Marketing Group, a team focusing on macho brands, especially in the motorsports industry. It is here where I have spent the majority of my career and learned more about working with large brands and B2B companies. I had a wide variety of fun branding to the mundane white paper. I weirdly loved both. I then moved on to work with a company whose clientele consisted of luxury brands, especially high-end home builders. Here I got a taste for a whole different market, like folks with several elevators in their homes.

On the way to work, I smile about the next ad campaign or brand I am scheming; on the way home, I am smiling that I get to come home to my wonderful family. I hope that is obvious when you meet me. I love my husband, my little girl, and my hobby farm with my whole heart, and God will always be my number one. I strive for excellence in all that I do, and you can guarantee I am not just one to push a mouse around. I care about my work.

Please reach out; there’s a good chance we’d be great to work together.
