Is my gift to the Duke Club tax deductible?
All gifts to the Duke Club, excluding Duke Club Seat Contribution, are tax deductible. For more information regarding tax deductibility, please consult your tax advisor.
How much of my Duke Club gift will my company match and what is the procedure?
Companies that offer a matching gift program determine the specific criteria and policies by which they will match gifts. Please contact your human resources department for copies of these policies and the appropriate forms or contact the Duke Club for more information.
What is the difference between the Duke Club Seat Contribution and the “Proud and True” Fund?
Donations to the “Proud and True” Fund and your Duke Club Seat Contribution provide support for JMU student-athlete scholarships and the general operating budget. A Duke Club Seat Contribution allows access to premium seats at Bridgeforth Stadium. A “Proud and True” Fund gift provides access to gameday experience benefits like parking.
Do I receive Duke Club credit for contributions to the JMU Foundation on behalf of other JMU Departments or to the Alumni Association?
Duke Club membership benefits are determined by the unrestricted portion of a donation to JMU Athletics. The first-level of benefits begin at the Madison Level ($75 gift).
How is parking for athletic events allocated, and how is it related to my Duke Club gift?
JMU Athletics reserves football and basketball game day parking for season ticket holders. Parking pass locations are determined by your Duke Club giving level and based upon availability.
Can I receive a single-game parking pass as a non-season ticket “Proud and True” Fund donor?
Single game parking for “Proud and True” fund donors will be based on parking availability.
What are priority and chairback football season tickets and how are they related to my Duke Club gift?
Priority, Chairback and Club Level seats are our premium seating locations within Bridgeforth Stadium. These seats require varying Duke Club Seat Contributions along with the cost of the season ticket. See the seating chart (Page 17) and benefits chart (Page 11) for more information.
When will the next season ticket reseating occur?
In order to provide fair and equitable seating, football and men’s basketball season tickets are reassigned every four years based on Duke Club priority.
• Bridgeforth Stadium Reseating - June 2023
• Atlantic Union Bank Center Seating - August 2025
When do I give my “Proud and True” Fund gift?
Your full pledge to the “Proud and True” Fund must be in our system and half payment of your gift is due by May 15. The remaining balance is due on August 1 or a payment plan must be setup in order to participate in our annual reparking.
For more information and examples of point calculation, visit JMUDukeClub.com/prioritypoints.
