told me that he is eight years old and lived with mom number one along with Lucy. When he was four and Lucy was six, mom number one had a baby. Charlie said he and Lucy liked to talk… a lot… and loudly. The baby never slept, so mom contacted the SPCA near her so they could look for a home for Charlie and Lucy. A volunteer told her friends about the two dachshunds that were up for adoption and they soon had a new home. Lucy Thomas told me she is 10 years old and is a typical girl...she has a lot of clothes. She lived with mom number one for six years and has lots of clothes because she and her mom went to shows where Lucy got to wear pretty dresses and hats.
Yep, she did it again. Mom shut me in that place where she keeps her clothes. She was sitting on the chair, so I cuddled under the hanging pants while she got dressed. As soon as she put on her shoes, she got up, left the closet, and closed the door. . . with me inside! It was dark in there, so I walked over to the folding door to wait. Sure enough, she figured out where she had last seen me. She was laughing when she opened the door to let me out. Being shut in there was worth it because I got lots of loving.

Lucy showed me this picture and said she and Charlie went to live with dad Paul and Sara, mom number two. They have been with dad for four years, but a few months ago mom went to the Rainbow Bridge to wait for them. The bed is a favorite spot; Charlie whispered that they sleep with dad!
Lucy said she likes to be the boss and she was quick to learn their new names. Dad told her he couldn’t pronounce the Russiansounding names they had with mom number one, so he named them after characters in Peanuts, a comic strip created by Charles Schulz. She thinks their names are perfect. She’s Lucy Schulz and he’s Charlie Brown.
