Stan DeCosta joins John Knox Village of Central Florida from Consulate Health in Titusville, where he was the executive director for a 120-bed skilled nursing home.

Originally from Connecticut, Stan brings more than 20 years of experience in senior living and skilled nursing. Over the course of his career in senior living, Stan has provided leadership across multiple departments leading more than 200 employees.

As a leader in healthcare management, he was responsible for developing and maintaining quality assurance programs, maintaining each organization's mission and culture, as well as mentoring and on-boarding new administrators.

Stan has always had a passion to work with our aging population. Making a difference in their lives and ensuring they are cared for with the utmost care and compassion motivates him each day. The pandemic has made making a difference in people’s lives more challenging. Contributing to a reputable, mission-driven organization like John Knox Village, where he's able to make a difference in the lives of the residents that he serves, is his reward.

When not working, Stan enjoys spending time with family and friends including his two Lhasa Apsos, Marty and Jax, as well as traveling and exercising. His reward for exercising? Eating pizza once a week!
