AnnuallyhighschoolstudentsparticipateinMissionWeek.This weekprovidesopportunitiesformissiontripstootherstates, regions,andintheirsenioryear,Spain.Studentsapplytheir leadershipskillsinplanning,funding,anddirectingthesetrips.

TECHNOLOGY

JICShasa1:1policyinhighschool.Eachstudentisrequiredto purchaseaChromebookforuseintheclassroom.Webelieve thattechnologyisoneofmanytoolsforinstructionandshould neverreplacetheteacherorengaginginstruction.Instead,itis asupplementtothecurriculumthatallowsforexpandingthe student’sdigitalliteracyskillswithinaBiblicalcontext, enhancingourstudents’collegeandworkforcereadiness.

JICSSERVICE

JamesIslandChristianHighSchoolstudentsareactively involvedinservingothers.Throughourpartnershipwith RedSpringsMissionCamp,studentsparticipatedina varietyofhands-onprojects,includingorganizing donationsandpackingsupplies.Throughthispartnership, studentsnotonlyassistedinmeetingthephysicalneedsof thecampbutalsodeepenedtheirconnectiontothe broadercommunity.Theseserviceprojectsprovide valuableopportunitiesforstudentstogrowintheir Christianleadership,livingouttheirfaiththroughaction whiledevelopingadeeperunderstandingofthe importanceofcompassion,teamwork,andservingothers.

InpartnershipwithStudentLeadershipUniversity,theJICSLeadership programwillincludean8-semesterleadership-basedcurriculum designedtodevelopBiblicallytrainedleadersthroughreading, mentoring,andconferences.Studentsalsoattendtworequired(and twooptional)leadershipconferences.

INFLUENCE:Discoverthetruthaboutleadership,theroleof theologyinaleader’slife,whatittakestohaveimpactful influence,andhowtoliveandleadtoone’sfullpotential.
