Xihu Village is located on the north side of Chenghu Lake in Suzhou, where people used to make their living from agriculture and fishing. However, with the development of the times, agriculture and fishing are gradually no longer ideal jobs, and human labor is constantly being replaced by machines. Young people here are choosing to leave their hometowns in order to make ends meet.
Xihu Village gradually became a place for the elderly, children and outsiders to rest and wait. It becomes more like a lifeless dormitory than a vibrant village.
