JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE OF THE DESERT A JFS DESERT ICONS SERIES EVENT

Presented by

Welcome We are proud to support Jewish Family Service of the Desert as tonight’s presenting sponsor.

Our community is extremely fortunate to have free and reduced fee

social services provided by JFS as they improve the lives of Coachella Valley residents, regardless of their religious affiliation.

Partnering with JFS is a fitting match with our Foundation, which is dedicated to building and supporting aging programs that include

the entire family. We believe that mature citizens are an important

component of a vibrant community, and clearly JFS supports this with the many services it offers mature adults and their families.

Tonight is also an extraordinary honor, as we have an opportunity to hear from Susan Ford Bales. This event lends itself to thanking Susan and the Ford Family for all they have done for our great nation. We are grateful to Susan for continuing to live the civic and community legacies led by her parents.

With sincere gratitude to everyone involved in tonight’s event, The Auen Family and Foundation

March 6, 2017 DESERT

On behalf of the men, women and children served by Jewish Family Service of the Desert (JFS), thank you for joining us for a truly special event, President Gerald & Betty Ford: Their Lives & Legacies, featuring Susan Ford Bales. We are truly honored to have Susan here to celebrate the legacy of the Ford family. As President, Gerald Ford demonstrated extraordinary leadership at a time of national crisis. Betty Ford bravely brought her personal struggles into the national spotlight and the results of her efforts have impacted countless individuals and families confronting addiction and cancer. The Ford family truly exemplifies the American spirit at its best. Thank you, Susan, for supporting the critical work of JFS. Your support tonight will have a direct impact on the more than 3,000 Coachella Valley residents JFS will serve this year. Our clients depend on JFS for low cost mental health counseling, senior care and transportation, emergency financial and food assistance, in-school counseling, special programs for the Jewish community, and other services. We would like to thank Dr. Harry Haroutunian and Nicki ResmoHaroutunian for making this event possible. We also would like to thank the committee members who worked so hard to put on this event and the volunteers who helped make it possible. Thank you to all of the sponsors and donors who have supported today’s event, and especially our friends at the Auen Foundation for their leadership gift as presenting sponsor, and to Union Bank, and the Betty Ford Center. Warmest regards,

This will be such a tremendous opportunity for our Law Pathway students as we seek to foster leadership and service in our students at Indio High School. It is actions such as yours which enables the school and community to forge a positive partnership that supports our students to optimize their learning potential. I appreciate your commitment to play a positive role in the community through this school outreach and I salute your community mindedness and thank you for the support that you have offered the staff and students at Indio High School.
