The Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis (JFGI) promotes a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable Jewish c o m m u n i t y t h ro u g h p h i l a n t h ro py, p l a n n i n g , e n g a g e m e n t , and Jewish education.

The NEXTGen depar tment of the Jewish Federation creates a welcoming atmosphere for all Jewish individuals (ages 21-45) in the greater Indianapolis community through a variety of engaging programs.

Moishe Pod is an initiative of Moishe House, which seeks to grow and foster a welcoming space for Jewish young adults in their 20s looking to connect. We gather for events centered around Jewish learning, spiritual practice & exploration, and tikkun olam activities.

LGBTQ+ Jewish Communal outreach and programming is being generously funded by Stuar t Kurlander & David Mar tin.

Ami is Hebrew for “my people.” It symbolizes our common connection o f b e i n g q u e e r, w h i l e c l a i m i n g o u r p r i d e i n b e i n g p a r t o f t h e J e w i s h people. The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) convenes the Jewish community’s “common table” around which all central Indiana Jewish organizations are welcome to sit to build consensus on issues of concern. We combat antisemitism t h ro u g h e d u c a t i o n , r e l a t i o n s h i p - b u i l d i n g , a n d a d vo c a c y, a n d by promoting an American society that is just, democratic, and pluralistic. As the public af fairs, inter faith, intergroup, and m e d i a r e l a t i o n s a r m o f t h e o r g a n i z e d J ew i s h c o m m u n i t y, J C RC voices the Jewish community’s concerns & interests to civic leaders, public officials, and other faith & ethnic communities. JCRC builds coalitions that advocate for human & civil rights and social & economic justice by fighting discrimination, systemic racism, homophobia, transphobia, and political & religious extremism.

The Indianapolis J is a community center open to all on

Indy’s north side. While the majority of our members are not Jewish, all who come to the J appreciate that our programming and ser vices are rooted in Jewish values. We have a fitness c e n t e r, i n d o o r & o u t d o o r c o m p e t i t i o n - s i z e d p o o l s , a t h e r a p y pool, and a 70,000-square-foot water park with a lazy river and zero-depth pool for infants & toddlers. We provide preschool education, af ter school programs, and summer camp. Our ar ts & engagement programming includes a 3-week book festival ever y fall and an annual Ear th Day celebration at the J.
