The 10th Annual Jewish Omaha Film Festival by MARY SUE GROSSMAN CJE Associate Executive Director A wonderful milestone is being reached this month when the Jewish Omaha Film Festival celebrates its
Film festivals abound throughout the country -- San Francisco, Washington, Boston, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Baton Rouge, Hartford, Austin, Miami -- the list goes on
tenth year. The popularity of this annual event has continued to grow annually and by early summer, community members begin to ask, “What are the films for this year’s festival?”
and on. And yes, the majority of these events feature many more films than Omaha, however it is unlikely that one can park, pay and be seated in the theater in five minutes in these cities. And just how many of these offer the option of a kosher deli dinner? Again, Omaha does it right! The members of the Film Festival Committee are to be commended on their work in selecting the films.
