NHM x Royal Lancaster London
September 2024
Taking inspiration from the Museum’s archives, its newly transformed gardens and the idyllic 30-minute nature walk that brings us together, the talented pastry team at the Royal Lancaster have created a thoughtful afternoon tea experience that honours the elegance of British flora and fauna, using locally sourced ingredients. A floral twist on a British tradition, in celebration of beautiful flowers and precious pollinators on our doorstep.










September 2024
The Museum’s first collection with British heritage jewellery, accessories and sleepwear brand, Fable England. A 38-piece capsule collection that features hand-painted enamel jewellery, illustrative print silk scarves, luxury sleepwear and signature bag shapes.

Inspired by the story of entomologist Maria Sibylla Merian, the collection is dominated by an exclusive print that celebrates the creativity and pioneering spirit of Maria and her daughter.







NHM x Tonies
Summer 2024
A series of uniquely crafted stories with well-known brand Tonies. The Natural History Museum: Discovery Crew Clever Pocket Tonie series features four immersive adventures sure to inspire every child’s inner natural explorer.
Set within the Natural History Museum to promote natural science learning.








Summer 2024
The Museum’s first collection with luxury personalisation brand My 1st Years, resulting in a beautiful pre-school childrenswear collection inspired by the Museum and its collections.
For ages 6 months – 8 years, this gender-neutral range features raincoats, rain boots, denim jackets, sweatshirts, t-shirts and accessories, all adorned with dinosaurs and planetary motifs. The range features TSC certified rain boots, organic cotton and other sustainable options.









NHM x The Royal Mail
April 2024

A set of eight stunning stamps that feature dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures were developed by the Royal Mail in conjunction with the Natural History Museum. Formats included presentation pack (below), first day covers, postcards and framed prints.
An additional format includes a coin cover envelope featuring the Tyrannosaurus stamp alongside the Tyrannosaurus coin (launched Dec 23) from the Royal Mint as a special gift for T. rex lovers.










NHM x Galt
Spring

An exciting collaboration with Galt Toys, a leading manufacturer of Arts & Crafts, Science and Learning toys for over 60 years. Launched in Spring 2024, the ‘Let’s Learn’ range featured three STEAM kits for ages 4+ years that immerse children in the wonderful worlds of science and natural history through fun and enriching activities.

January 2023
A collaboration with premium bag and apparel brand Roka London to launch ‘The Waterhouse’, a waterproof canvas backpack made from recycled plastic from post conducting scientific research in the field or embarking on your morning commute, the Waterhouse Field Backpack has been developed to safely stowaway tools and equipment.

NHM x All Jigsaw Puzzles
Spring 2024

Developed alongside UK puzzle specialists All Jigsaw Puzzles, the Colours of Nature collection features four individual jigsaw puzzles themed to Butterflies and Moths, Shells, Minerals and Beetles. Each 1000pc puzzle adopts photography from the Museum’s vast collection of specimens, all carefully combined to create a fiendishly difficult puzzle.








NHM x Dunelm
Spring/Summer 2024
The fifth collection from the Dunelm X Natural History Museum collaboration was called ‘Treasures of the Museum’, appropriately named as each design took inspiration from the vast wealth of visual assets from the Museum’s collection.

This season featured multiple collections including Metamorphosis, Tropical Treasures, Kaleidoscope, Marbling and more. New product categories included luggage & travel and bathroom accessories.










NHM x East End Prints
Summer 2023

The Museum has collaborated with print specialists East End Prints to create an art print collection for John Lewis. Featuring a combination of elements from the natural world the collection includes tigers, marine life, botanical imagery and much more.





NHM x Dunelm
Autumn/Winter 2023
The fourth collection from the Dunelm X Natural History Museum collaboration was themed to moorland habitats – wild rugged upland expanses home to incredible species like the red deer, mountain hare and short-eared owl.
Through each collection, we aim to shine a spotlight on the incredible of these natural environments whilst also highlighting the threats impacting them and the urgent need to protect them from further decline.


Two further collections are in development for 2024, with new product categories being explored




Blues Group Winter 2023
As the UK’s most visited indoor attraction, the Natural History Museum welcomes over 170,000 students from 2,600 schools across the UK, every year. The Museum’s mission is to create advocates for the planet and to inspire a love of nature, including the next generation of scientists dedicated to protecting our planet.

Blues Group and the Museum have partnered to create an engaging and thoughtful kids’ apparel with themes ranging from mighty beasts of prehistoric times, and the beauty of our natural world.





NHM x Hasbro
Childrenswear
Autumn 2023 saw the Museum team up with Hasbro to release a new line of gender-neutral clothing inspired by Peppa Pig, which is exclusive to F&F at Tesco.
A colourful collection that incorporates themes such as outer space, insects and dinosaurs, the narrative leans into Peppa and George’s curiosity, creativity and sense of adventure as they and learn all about our natural world.

Food Gifting
In Summer 2023 the Natural History Museum collaborated with iconic British brand Biscuiteers to create an enchanting three-piece hand-iced biscuit collection, intricately designed to celebrated the Museum’s remarkable collections.

Biscuiteers are renowned for their exquisite biscuits – each lovingly made from locally-sourced ingredients, skilfully hand-iced by artists in London, and presented in beautifully illustrated, keepsake packaging. Sustainability is at the core of their values with 100% recyclable packaging and a proud commitment to zero waste to landfill.


Not just a best-seller, this collection has held a spot among the top 20 selling products since the brand’s launch



NHM x Dunelm
Spring/Summer 2023
The Dunelm X Natural History Museum collaboration launched its third collection in Spring 2023 themed to British coastal regions and tropical coral reefs. Continuing their mission to develop beautifully designed and sustainably made pieces for the home, this special collaboration is born from a desire to create products that have a story to tell, from their inspiration to their production.


From beautiful bedding and curtains to soft furnishings and upholstered furniture, this collection has been designed to utilise resources in the best possible way.


The SS23 collection included paint for the first time with six stunning colours to choose from


At the 2023 B&LLAs, the Museum won the Sustainability Brand Licensed Award for its homewares collection with UK retailer Dunelm

NHM x Teemill
Print On Demand
The Museum was delighted to work with Teemill, who are known for their pioneering approach to sustainable clothing. Having created a UK based circular economy for fashion, Teemill garments –all made from GOTC organic cotton - are designed from the start to be sent back and remade into new products once worn out.
The Museum developed trend led design capsules alongside Teemill throughout 2023, each themed to key areas including pollinators, 8-Bit dinosaurs, Earth Day and more.

Adult Stationery
The Museums & Galleries greetings card and gift stationery range takes a kaleidoscopic journey through images and objects held within the collections of the Natural History Museum. From anatomy to zoology, the range encompasses the art of discovery, travel, history and the natural world.



























NHM x Joanie Womenswear
In Autumn 2022 the Museum joined forces with independent fashion brand Joanie Clothing, who are known for their quirky and playful approach to womenswear. Since then, the collaboration has expanded into three collections, all inspired by nostalgia, with Joanie taking the best bits of vintage clothing and reimagines them for the modern, everyday wardrobe.

Each collection have been designed like a ‘Greatest Hits’ album of the Natural History Museum, celebrating the vast array of incredible specimens from our natural world.

A sustainable greeting card collection developed by Museums & Galleries as part of the Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year licensing programme. Utilising images from the competition’s archives, the range celebrates the very best in wildlife photography.

NHM x Marks & Spencer
Winter 2021
The Natural History Museum collaborated with Marks & Spencer to develop a ROARsome dinosaur themed childrenswear collection, all using BCI cotton. The gender-neutral collection, which included day and nightwear, featured all-time favourites like Tyrannosaurus, Velociraptor and Diplodocus as well as other awe-inspiring dinosaurs from prehistoric times.











NHM x Blueprint Collections
Spring 2021
The Museum teamed up with Blueprint Collections to create a dinosaur themed stationery collection for children that included notebooks, activity kits, colouring pads, stationery travel kits, bags and much more.










NHM x Finisterre
Spring 2020 and 2021
The Museum developed two capsule collections with Finisterre. From shirts, tees and dresses made from sustainable organic cotton to swimwear and accessories built with recycled polyester and ECONYL recycled yarn, recovered from marine waste, these collections were inspired by the themes of sea travel and exploration.








NHM x Royal Mint
2021, 2022 and 2023
The Museum has worked collaboratively with The Royal Mint to produce three collectible coin collections in recent years, all under the banner of Tales of The Earth. The Dinosauria Collection,
The Mary Anning Collection and the Iconic Specimens Collection have all been themed to subjects from natural history that relate to the Museum and its collections.









NHM x Roald Dahl x M&S collaboration
Spring 2020, Winter 2020, Spring 2021
The Natural History Museum x Roald Dahl collaboration with Marks & Spencer was a fun edit of daywear designs featuring much-loved characters from one of the nation’s favourite authors and amazing animal facts from one of London’s top attractions. This collaboration saw three seasons in total and featured apparel, accessories and homewares. Each piece featured favourite characters from the world of Roald Dahl alongside fascinating facts from the Museum’s scientists.









NHM x John Lewis DTR
Spring 2021, Winter 2021
For ages 3-12 years, this gender-neutral range featured t-shirts, sweatshirts, long-sleeved tops, leggings and joggers, with graphics that encourage a love of our planet, all developed exclusively for John Lewis. This collection ran for two seasons.











NHM x Farrow & Ball
September 2019
The Natural History Museum created a unique paint range in collaboration with renowned paint manufacturer Farrow & Ball, inspired by the true colours of nature. The collaboration drew on the Museum’s world-leading collection – including its rare book library which holds Werner’s Nomenclature of Colour, a colour guide used by Charles Darwin on his seminal voyage on The Beagle that inspired the collection of 16 unique colours.










NHM x Divine Savages
November 2019
The Natural History Museum partnered with London design house Divine Savages to develop a luxury homewares range that included luxury wallpapers, fabrics and cushions, all of which have taken inspiration from not only the vast array of specimens, illustrations and paintings that comprise the Museum’s world-leading collection, but also the exquisite architecture of the building itself.











Archivist Gallery Greeting Cards
Archivist was founded in 1998 and produces the highest quality letterpress printed cards and stationery. As the name might suggest; the archives of the Natural History Museum is where

Archivist first started sourcing their creative inspiration, continuing to this very day.
