As 2025 draws to a close, many aircraft owners are taking time to reflect on the past year, while looking ahead to the year to come. This edition of The Pulse is for longtime readers and those encountering our editorial for the first time. It celebrates the experiences, milestones, and events that shaped the aviation journeys for JetSwiss clients and for our friends in the Pilatus family.
For our feature this month, we connected with people whose stories inspired us. Some are JetSwiss clients, while others caught our attention with the meaningful ways they use their aircraft. Through their stories, the true impact of ownership shows up in the memories made, precious time saved, and the people (or animals) they brought along for the ride.

So, you’ve found the perfect Pilatus. Fantastic! At JetSwiss, we take it one step further—making sure it’s fully inspected and truly move-in ready. That’s where our Aircraft Condition Evaluation (ACE), comes in.
JetSwiss’ expert technicians and flight crews evaluate each specific aircraft, examining the logbooks and records, conducting visual inspections, multiple test flights, engine exams, calculating future maintenance cost projections, etc. This summary or ‘ACE’ report provides our clients with a detailed look at every rivet, component, and record for a subject aircraft.

Test Flights
As a part of our internal protocol, every aircraft undergoes test flights with our experts on duty.
Logbook Research
Our Maintenance Director, who brings over 20 years of Pilatus-specific experience, reviews all aircraft records in detail.
Walkaround Inspection
We take pictures and video of every scratch, divot, and rivet to document the condition of the aircraft.
Borescope Inspection
Using advanced equipment, we conduct an in-house borescope inspection to evaluate the heart of the aircraft—the engine.
Documented Loose Equipment
We document all loose equipment, such as aircraft covers and software install kits to ensure your move is as smooth as possible.
Maintenance Analysis Examination
This provides you with a detailed maintenance status for the aircraft, as well as cost projections for up to three years into the future.
When buying a Pilatus with JetSwiss, you’re stepping into ownership with the highest level of clarity and diligence available.

PRICE VS. TOTAL TIME
Similar to the Asking Price vs Model Year chart, this information helps our clients determine “the mileage on the car” for their specific budget. Want to own a low time aircraft? This chart will give you an indication on what you will spend. Note: aircraft under 1,000 hours total time historically yield much higher prices.
AIRCRAFT ASKING PRICE VS. MODEL YEAR
This chart reflects the current market for Pilatus PC-12 aircraft that are on the retail market. Want to know how much your Pilatus dollars will buy? This is a great place to start! As you can see, the aircraft model year plays a key factor in pricing of the aircraft–thus generates a commensurate trend curve. This data provides a baseline for our aircraft evaluations. MODEL

INTERVIEW WITH NICK SCIGLIANO
JetSwiss Summit Solutions Acquisition Client, Pilatus Owner & Pilot
Aviation Journey
Cessna 185 > Cessna 208 Caravan > Pilatus PC-12NG
Experience with JetSwiss
“Where I see the difference is after the sale. I have been just astounded by how much follow-up there’s been by your staff members. From Diana checking in with me weekly on anything that needs to be done and offering her help on all kinds of stuff. From Scott Patrick and Bill Lento– those guys have been relentless in just making sure that everything’s okay… That is the difference.”
Why Pilatus
“I was looking for something that could land at the fishing lodge that had range and could get me from Pennsylvania up to the lodge effectively, fast, and efficiently. In doing my research on what that solution would be, I found the PC-12… It could give me the range, the capacity, the luxury, could haul freight, and it could still land on my sand runway in the middle of nowhere.”
How he uses it
• Summer trips to Canada for remote fishing
• Regional business and personal travel
• Future wilderness missions beginning next spring
• Occasional trips to Florida
Pilatus Pilot & Angel Flight West Volunteer
Phil’s aviation path began in the Air Force, first as a mechanic and later as a loadmaster on C-130s. After deployments and global travel, he transitioned into flight instruction, balancing military work by day with flight school at night.
While trying to gain his footing in aviation as a pilot, Phil and his family experienced the loss of his young son, Noah.
“Life is what it is and you can’t worry about what you can’t control…I still had to live for my wife and my daughter.”
Three months after he passed away, Phil completed his bachelor’s degree in aeronautics.
He was later introduced to the Pilatus while teaching the then-new NGX in the simulator world, a role that led to his current position managing and flying a PC-12 for a private family, where he also supports maintenance as a certified A&P.
The family whose PC-12 Phil manages encouraged him to put the aircraft to good use beyond business flying. “Go do good things for good people,” they told him.
That encouragement led him to Angel Flight West, where he now uses the Pilatus to fly medical passengers who need free transportation to and from treatment. To date, Phil has flown around 90 missions.
“And a lot of them are going through a lot of similar things that we had gone through…I have some insight into what they might be feeling…”
One of Phil’s most memorable moments was flying a passenger home from her final medical treatment— cancer-free and returning home for good.
“She was in great spirits. We got to celebrate together. It was just a refreshing flight overall. It was a beautiful day to fly. It was awesome.”
JetSwiss Acquisition Client, Pilatus Owner & Pilot
Aviation Journey
Cessna 206 > Pilatus PC-12/45
Why Pilatus
“After doing so much research, it just came down to... nothing could really beat the PC-12 as far as payload, range, short field landings, efficiency, and comfort in the cabin is actually important too.”
How they use it
• Frequent trips to Cabo for fishing and family time.
Experience with JetSwiss
“The day of delivery was really fun. We would do it again in a heartbeat. and if we ever, for some reason, sold it, and went for another one, we would go right back to y’all again.”

INTERVIEW WITH CARL RYDEEN
Pilatus Pilot and Aircraft Manager for a JetSwiss Client
Aviation Journey
Carl spent 35 years as an air traffic controller, often flying himself 100 miles to and from work each day. After retiring from controlling, he shifted toward professional flying earning a jet type rating and eventually flying a Meridian turboprop. One of the Meridian’s dry lessors later asked Carl to fly their Pilatus. Today, Carl manages and flies three PC-12s for owners.
“It’s the right airplane for me. It fits me well... They don’t go real fast and they don’t go too high. But they go fast enough and high enough.”
How they use it
• Business and remote flying when the mission calls for it
• Outdoor and hunting trips: hauling elk, bear, deer, and gear
• Frequent flights into Canada for sporting and adventure travel
Experience with JetSwiss
“I am a JetSwiss promoter and supporter… What I like about you guys is if I say, ‘tell me how I get X done,’ you say, ‘I’ll contact them and take care of it.’ That’s the norm and that’s not the norm of everybody… I’ve managed other airplanes and I’ve flown jets, but I’d never been around a Pilatus to know what to do and what not to do... I still call Scott Glenn, Diana Smotherman, or Scott Patrick. Scott’s been an excellent resource, and when I have some questions, he’s very willing to help.”
INTERVIEW WITH PHIL HALE
Repeat JetSwiss Acquisition Client, Pilatus Owner & Pilot
Aviation Journey
Cessna 182 > Piper Saratoga > Mirage > Pilatus PC-12/47 > Pilatus PC-12NG
Experience with JetSwiss
“Y’all took it and ran with it and even with the big bow on it when I showed up. I mean, that was just awesome. You guys take it to the next level. I just don’t know of anybody that does that…Y’all’ve just got a great team. Scott and the rest of them certainly helped with the check flight. It’s great that everybody has various knowledge and experience.”
Why Pilatus
“We wanted something that was at least a turboprop that had the performance and useful load. The performance and useful load were the two big driving factors for the PC-12. That plane is a very durable plane… You can get in and out of smaller airports.”
How he uses it
• Primarily business transportation to rural and metro destinations
• Training and proficiency
• Occasional personal trips, with hopes for a future Bahamas run

JetSwiss Acquisition Client, Pilatus Owner & Pilot
Aviation Journey
Piston Malibu > Pilatus PC-12/45
Experience with JetSwiss
“You guys did a good job, and there were no surprises. Ever. You sold the plane to me in 21… Nothing’s come up since that I wasn’t aware of. I have not had any unexpected maintenance.”
Why Pilatus
“I got tired of being fearful at night and of thunderstorms, and ice. I decided I was worth it.”
How he uses it
• Annual fishing trips north of the 59th parallel
• Business travel to properties across 30+ states–most in small markets, where the PC-12’s short-field performance saves hours
• Volunteer missions transporting military personnel and equipment for charitable training events
• Indian Scout Motorcycle hauls to Colorado for riding

INTERVIEW WITH CHUCK YANKE
For more information about Turtles Fly Too, Visit: https://www.turtlesflytoo.org INTERVIEW WITH BISMARCK BRACKETT
Pilatus Owner, Pilot, & Turtles Fly Too Volunteer
Aviation Journey
Cessna 172 > Cessna 182 > Cessna 182 RG Turbo > Columbia 400 > Pilatus PC-12/45
Why Pilatus
“I was very happy with the Columbia 400, but it didn’t have the capacity that we were looking for.”
How he uses it
• Regular trips from Milwaukee to Jackson Hole— nonstop.
• Cross-country hops to Georgia and other highaltitude destinations.
• Extensive animal transport work with zoos across the country (mountain lions, wolves, monkeys, chimpanzees, red pandas—you name it).
• Turtles Fly Too missions, including a recordsetting 100-turtle airlift in their PC-12.
A Christmas Story
Between Christmas and New Year’s one year, Chuck and his wife decided to “give the turtles a Christmas.” They loaded 25–30 sea turtles–each shipped in banana boxes with towels and heat packs–and flew them to rehab facilities along the East Coast.
“We just enjoy giving back and helping the animals because they have no voice. I think it’s important, anybody who’s been very successful, that they contribute back to help. Some people can contribute back to help the homeless, or whatnot. We give back for the animals.”

For our Pilatus PC-12 NGX friends, Pilatus has released two new software service bulletins for you:
The first being Service Bulletin 45-030 for software build 12.7.2. This is a mandatory service bulletin that updates the stick pusher and pusher safe mode CAS message logic and also improves the recording of the ACMF (Aircraft Condition Monitoring Function) file that is generated during every flight you make. This file is used by Pratt and CAMP to generate your engine health trend monitoring and also by your maintenance crews to troubleshoot your aircraft.
The second service bulletin is 45-031 for those of you using the electronic checklist function. Your checklist will need to be updated when the mainsoftware is updated to 12.7.2. The good news is that Pilatus will pick up the cost for both of these provided they are completed by the end of September 2026. Your maintenance provider may need to order the software ahead of time, so be sure to reach out to them and let them know you want to incorporate these service bulletins.
For both our Pilatus PC-12 NG and NGX owners:
Honeywell has issued Service Bulletin KSG 7200-34-0021 that changes the acceptable core exchange part numbers for the ADAHRS (Air Data and Aircraft Heading Reference System) in your aircraft. Starting in May 2026, Honeywell will only accept part number 065-001885105 as a core when exchanging a defective part. Your aircraft may have a 065-001885103, 065-00188-5104 or 065-00188-5105 installed. The part number will be recorded in your airframe logbook.
Also, the facility that last performed your FAR 91.411 / 91.413 IFR certifications will have made note of it as part of their required paperwork. Honeywell is currently covering the cost of the replacement under factory warranty or under your MSP plan, but they are not offering exchange units for non-failed ADAHRS units. This means that if you have a -5103 or -5104 installed, Honeywell is currently telling the service centers that those units will have to be sent out and upgraded to the -5105 standard and are predicting a 30 day turn time on the upgrade. After the May 2026 deadline and you have a -5103 or -5104 unit that fails, you will be charged a core fee even if you are on the MSP program.
Talk to your service center to get scheduled and for the latest updates on this.

This aircraft has completed our full diligence process and are ready for immediate delivery. As year-end approaches, opportunities like these move quickly—don’t wait any longer!
