is the President and Founder of ALARM, which he started in 1994 as a response to the genocide in his home country of Rwanda. Dr. Musekura has several degrees, including a Ph.D. in Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Master’s of Science in Justice Administration and Leadership from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is an international speaker and author in areas of leadership, peacebuilding, biblical forgiveness, and reconciliation.

E LI ZAB ETH AND M AR S H A LL V I N E Y

are ALARM’s Honorary Gala Chairs. Elizabeth and Marshall Viney have been long-time partners of ALARM. Elizabeth is a former litigation attorney with Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. She serves on ALARM’s Justice Advocates Council and has traveled to Juba, South Sudan, with ALARM to lead a Christian lawyers training conference on the principles of biblical justice. Elizabeth is a member of Dallas Justice and has used her vocation to serve the Dallas community in various capacities. In 2017, Elizabeth was awarded the Dallas Foundation’s Good Works Under 40 Award for her pro bono legal service in Dallas through Advocates for Community Transformation. Marshall is a Director at ORIX Corporation Mezzanine and Private Equity Group. Together, Elizabeth and Marshall serve as chairs of the ACT Justice Leadership Council. Elizabeth and Marshall live in Dallas, Texas, with their three young children and are members of Watermark Community Church.

M ARKU S L LOY D, EM C EE

Markus Lloyd serves as the Director of External Focus at Woodcreek Church in Richardson, Texas, and is known as a community catalyst for Church unity and reconciliation. He leads a Church reconciliation group called Threaded that partners with ALARM in Rwanda, and he serves as a regional champion for Unite Greater Dallas. In his spare time, he is a professional performer, emcee, actor, and director. Markus can be seen on stages, screens, and as a voice in many popular commercials, video games, and anime cartoons.

He is also the on-camera spokesman for the Institute for Creation Research and the live events emcee for Southwest Airlines. Markus lives in McKinney, Texas, with his wife Lisa and their two boys Markus Jr. (Deuce) and Solomon.

ANN JACOB S ON

fell in love with ALARM’s work on a trip to D.R. Congo in 2008. Since then, she has worn a number of hats at the organization including volunteer staff member, strategic planning consultant, and Board Chair since 2017. Ann is also passionate about the plight of refugees in the United States and around the world. She and her husband Eric live in Flower Mound, where they run a company helping executives find new business opportunities. They have two grown daughters.

is the retired founder of PDI, a software company based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Greg’s wife, Pam, and daughter, Anna, met Celestin at a conference at the Billy Graham Center more than 25 years ago. It was the beginning of a wonderful relationship that saw Greg serve on the ALARM board and take several ministry trips to Africa with Pam. The Gilkersons became family to the Musekuras when they arrived in Texas at DTS, and were even asked to be the guardians of the Musekuras’ children in case of the parents’ deaths. Greg was very active in the business community in Temple, Texas, and served as an elder for Temple Bible Church. Greg and Pam have three grown children and eight grandchildren.

JOA NN HUM M EL

is the Pastor of Shared Leadership at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship in Carrollton, Texas. She has been on staff at Bent Tree since 1993. Over the years, JoAnn has served in numerous key pastoral roles including children’s, women’s, missions, and, most recently, as Campus Pastor of Bent Tree Carrollton. Now, JoAnn’s pastoral influence is leveraged beyond the walls of the Carrollton campus. Her focus is on writing and speaking about shared leadership, and in training and mentoring rising leaders here and around the world. JoAnn was also among the first women leaders to train pastors’ wives and women leaders in Africa with ALARM.

GA RY DESALVO

has had the privilege of shepherding the flock of Temple Bible Church since 1981. He and Bev have been married 42 years. They are blessed with two married children and six grandchildren. They have had the privilege of ministering in more than 20 countries to pastors and their wives. His relationship with Celestin began in January 1996 as they ministered together in the Rwandan refugee camps in Zaire, now D.R. Congo. ALARM U.S. began at Temple Bible Church, and the staff at TBC handled the financial responsibilities of ALARM for many years.

DR. DAV ID DANIEL S

has served as Lead Pastor of Pantego Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas since 2005. He serves on the board of ALARM and is co-founder of Beta Upsilon Chi (Brothers Under Christ), a national Christian fraternity. His commitment to personal discipleship, leadership development, and global missions has taken him on short-term missions to a dozen countries, including Burundi and Rwanda with ALARM. David’s teaching and training ministry includes the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, Pine Cove Christian Camps, and Kanakuk Institute. He is author of the Next Step Discipleship and Next Step Church handbooks to help churches and their people take greater steps to missional living. David and Tiffany live in Arlington, Texas, and enjoy life with their children Grant (and wife Laine), Pearson, and Jenna, and brand-new granddaughter June Charlotte.
