SINCE THE BOCA RATON’S beginnings nearly a century ago, art and culture have played a prominent factor in our resort and club’s DNA. Our halls have long been an ode to the arts, from musicians playing sonorous pieces in our halls to expressive touches decorating the walls. With Addison Mizner’s architectural acumen and inclination to fine art, it feels only natural that an artistic heritage would prevail deep into our spaces and within our very ethos.
Today, we continue that lead. Thoughtful artwork and a cultural scene have helped power a vibrant, curated experience across The Boca Raton, also spotlighted within our events and programming. The Boca Raton Historical Society’s curator, Susan Gillis, connects the dots about our property’s art and culture scene throughout the years on page 56.
We cannot think of a better moment to visit the new Beach Club than now. On page 48, we delve into the amenities that make Beach Club not just a refreshed hotel, but an experience that blends stunning design, bold culinary creativity, and the kind of hospitality that feels effortless. Our editor writes about Beach Club as explored with her family. Take a look at the new spaces, programming, and dining options, including Marisol restaurant, which is collaborating with Chef Johnny Spero of the Michelin-starred Reverie in Washington, D.C., to present fresh seafood and Mediterraneaninspired dishes, working together with the onsite team overseen by Marisol Chef De Cuisine Sami Bourmeche.
As a testament to our passion and expertise in culinary excellence, we hosted the inaugural Artisans of Wine & Food event in partnership with Napa Valley Vintners earlier this year. For three unforgettable days, we brought together fine wine, exceptional cuisine, and extraordinary experiences for our Club members and guests. You can read about it on page 44. Now, we can’t wait to do it all over again—only bigger, bolder, and even more delicious—at next year’s Artisans of Wine & Food, January 15-18, 2026.
I’m especially proud to spotlight the remarkable leadership of two of our very own. Antonia Korosec, Vice President of Resort Operations, and Jennifer O ttmann, Vice President of Food & Beverage, are driving our property forward with their expertise and unwavering dedication. Their impact is felt in the details, from seamless guest experiences to memorable dining concepts. Get to know these dynamic female leaders on page 40.
We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. That can be said about the Farm Stock Old Fashioned, Monkey Bar’s latest take on the traditional whiskey drink. Bartenders at the members-only lounge present the drink tableside—but that’s not where the fun ends. They also smoke the drink as part of the presentation. (The drink can also be served without the smoke, too.)

IN GOLF AS IN LIFE, confidence makes a difference. And having the confidence that your golf clubs are fitted exactly to your specifications to optimize your game can be the difference maker. Like a customdesigned suit or shoes, playing with clubs built for you can feel more special. Or, shall we say, more tailored.
The Boca Raton has unveiled a new program dedicated to enhancing the golf experience. The property teamed up with TaylorMade Golf, a longtime leader in golf equipment innovation whose products are used by the likes of juggernauts Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Nelly Korda, to provide members and guests personalized club fittings by experts to create the perfect golf bag for any player.
“Being properly fitted for your clubs is just as important as getting the foundational skills down pat,” says Andrew Farrea, Director of Golf at The Boca Raton Golf Club.
“TaylorMade is a premier brand, and we’re working with a specialized team of their best fitters in South Florida. They know the product, they are experts in TaylorMade, and they are able to share that specific knowledge with our members and guests.”
If history is any indicator of popularity, then golfers will likely see the immediate benefit of the program. During a weekend in early 2025, members and guests were invited to the TaylorMade Tour Truck, where fittings were conducted alongside the brand’s double-decker truck that featured a modernized workshop
During a custom fitting appointment, golfers take practice swings with a TaylorMade expert fitter at the Golf Club’s driving range in an easy, relaxed atmosphere. During the assessment, the fitter looks at various factors in a golfer’s swing, from arm length to how one’s arm hangs to how hips shift to the acceleration. Because, as Farrea says, “even the slightest factor can impact how a golfer hits the club face."
“The assessment is really complex and technical, but the fitters are equipped with the knowledge and calculations to accomplish creating the best club for you.”
Fitters also examine ball flight to make various suggestions, including adjusting the grip or shaft, and sometimes both. “There’s an incredible amount of computations and factors that go into into creating a custom golf club,” Farrea says. “Most people are surprised by how even the slightest adjustment can add yards to their swing.”
The entire process can take between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on if the golfer is interested in customizing a full bag or an iron or two. And almost any part of the club can be customized, from the color of the grip and shaft, to grip sizes for different hand sizes. From there, the results are sent into TaylorMade, and clubs are then built to the personalized specifications of the golfer. It takes between 10 to 14 days to receive the new clubs, Farrea says, which can be delivered to the Golf Club or to a home address.
equipped with multiple loft/lie machines, shaft cutters, and a dedicated gripping station, ready to create personalized clubs onsite. The weekend event was so successful that it set a record number of sales for the Golf Club.
To schedule a custom fitting session, Club members and resort guests are encouraged to reserve a time at the Golf Club. Players of any level are welcome to book a fitting, though Farrea recommends golfers have good golf fundamentals in order to optimize the fitting session. Beginners and seasoned players can all benefit from a fitting. In fact, 50 percent of fittings at The Boca Raton are with players who have two years of golf practice or less. The best part? The fitting appointments are complimentary. “There is no pressure to buy, either,” Farrea says. “If a golfer is interested in purchasing, we price the product to match what is found in retail stores around South Florida.”
Farrea recommends booking a custom fitting whenever a player is not hitting the ball solidly. An evaluation can better determine what adjustments need to be made. In addition, it’s often recommended to invite your favorite golf professional to the session to ensure your form is ideal.
Club’s new additions are all the buzz Racquet Club players may have noticed a few upgrades to their recent match play. The Boca Raton recently revealed 12 brand-new pickleball hard courts, as well as the new Racquet Bar for easy refreshments. The additions come just in time for a robust schedule of Racquet Club events, including October’s The Pink Dink. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, pickleball players are encouraged to wear their favorite pink Racquet Club attire while indulging in pink drinks and snacks from Racquet Bar.

Meet two leaders who keep everything running seamlessly at The Boca Raton.
Jennifer Ottmann Vice President of Food and Beverage
JENNIFER OTTMANN BELIEVES the answer is always in the room. Specifically, any room with staff from The Boca Raton. Early in her tenure as the property’s Vice President of Food and Beverage, Ottmann learned that the solution to any issue that arises can be solved by her passionate team members. That belief gave way to creating programming that reinvested in their young leaders, including a leadership development series attended by the junior-level managers.
“We start every single one of those meetings by drawing a bridge,” says Ottmann, a longtime hospitality leader who has worked at SLS B aha Mar and with Thomas Keller Restaurant Group. “Then, we need to figure out how we get to the other side of the bridge. And when you get bright minds in a room together, they tend to figure it out.”
From her viewpoint, Ottmann believes the newfound sense of camaraderie and accomplishment that permeates within the team has enlivened each member. Like when the young managers created and implemented a weekly newsletter for The Flamingo Grill focused on service, reviews, and team accomplishments.
“My team inspires me,” she says. “Seeing these eager, hungry minds work so hard to solve issues inspires us all to be better.”
For Certified Financial Planner ™ Elizabeth Bennett, managing money is more than a career—it’s a passion, and its roots are personal. Bennett’s father died when she was 7, and her widowed mother became so overwhelmed with financial burdens that she had declared bankruptcy by the time Elizabeth turned 18. Bennett went on to earn a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State University so that she would not fall into similar financial hardship.
Now, as head of Intercoastal Wealth Planning in Boca Raton, she shares her insights from nearly 35 years in finance with a wide range of clients, designing custom plans to steer them toward financial freedom and independence. These include widows and divorcees, soonto-be retirees, and others undergoing major life changes.
Bennett is familiar with the mistakes that amateur investors often make without the advice of a professional fiduciary— such as playing the stock market ineffectively. Bennett is an expert at reversing these habits, and excels at providing solutions for her clients during times of market volatility.
“I pride myself on building a client’s portfolio based on what their risk tolerance is,” she says. “We always start with a financial plan. I need to understand who you are and what your goals are, and where you are today, so I can help you get to where you want to go.”

Vice President of Resort Operations
HOW DOES A 200-ACRE destination with five distinct hotels, 18 dining outlets, and a multitude of recreational activities run so smoothly? Have someone like Antonia Korosec helming resort operations.
A leader in international luxury hospitality, Korosec brings a wealth of knowledge from her years at Ocean House in Rhode Island and resorts across Europe and the United States. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that Korosec enjoys working on brainteasers. “I’m an operator, and I love the puzzle of it all,” she says. “I’m constantly trying to figure out how to make sure that everything fits into the perfect picture.”
That includes operational details like creating sustainable practices around the property, including the refillable water bottles found in guest rooms. In addition, Korosec has worked to build a support system for team members who are parents, creating summer programming at Banyan Bunch so the staff can work while their young children are cared for. Because, as Korosec says, it’s all about the people at The Boca Raton.
“The club members, the guests, the team’s passion— everyone’s energy is very contagious,” Korosec says. “We need everyone to help operate the ship here, and I’m very thankful for them all.”

Reminiscing on the perfect blend of Napa Valley and Boca Raton at the inaugural Artisans of Wine & Food
BY ANGELA CARAWAY-CARLTON
SAVORING EXQUISITE FOOD hand-crafted by chefs touting Michelin fame. Sipping new or rare vintages from acclaimed Napa Valley wineries, while chatting with the masterminds behind them. Cruising on a luxe yacht around Lake Boca with wine-making greats. Indulging in a decadent Southern-inspired brunch while being serenaded by jazz music and ocean breezes. Or even gawking at a breathtaking spectacle in the sky, where drones shapeshift into a cork and wine bottle.
It’s difficult to narrow down all the unforgettable moments experienced at The Boca Raton during the inaugural Artisans of Wine & Food weekend hosted earlier this year. The expansive resort and private club provided the perfect backdrop for the East Coast version of a similar prestigious festival that’s been a staple in Napa Valley, California, since the 1980s, blending its own signature style with Napa’s laid-back vibes.
Partnering with Napa Valley Vintners, the threeday event showcased more than 100 vintners and winery owners on-site to pour their esteemed wines. Think top winery names such as Alpha Omega, Chappellet, Far Niente, Schramsberg, Crocker & Starr, Hyde Vineyards and many more. “This is the largest-ever collection of vintners from Napa Valley, outside of Napa Valley,” says Daniel Hostettler, President & CEO of The Boca Raton. “You won’t find this anywhere else in the world.”
While the event is big on vintners, it intentionally maintains a cap on attendance that hovers around 500 to 600 guests to create a personal and exclusive experience. “One of the many things that Napa Valley Vintners has perfected over their 40 years of doing this is the ability for you to have one-on-one time with the vintners, getting to know them,” says Mr. Hostettler, “and that was essential to us when creating this event.”
Guests mingled with vintners under the breezy tents of The Discover Napa Valley Tasting Pavilion, which featured more than 125 world-class wines and 20
restaurants, played in a Vintners Invitational Golf Tournament, and even cruised around Lake Boca on a yacht. “There are multiple touch points where the guests get to spend meaningful time with the winery owners and vintners,” says Mr. Hostettler.
Extravagant gastronomic experiences also took center stage, featuring intimate dinners helmed by 20 renowned chefs who were paired with the resort’s signature culinary team. Notable dinners included Bella Notte, an Italian feast by famed chef and restaurateur Mario Carbone; Dinner En Plein Air, an all-female affair showcasing chefs like Sarah Steffan of Blackberry Farm in Tennessee, alongside women winemakers from Cakebread Cellars and Grgich Hills Estate; and The Premiere Napa Valley dinner, where guests indulged in a barrel tasting of Napa Valley’s rarest micro-lot wines, complemented by a menu crafted by Chef Stéphane Andrieux of the Michelin-starred Château de la Treyne. “These vintners’ dinners, where you have 60 people in a room with these incredible chefs, and three or four vintners pouring their wines, were such a fun, unique experience,” says Mr. Hostettler. “We were incredibly fortunate to get this caliber of culinary talent for a first-time event.”
It’s not all swirling and sipping: Saturday night’s Charity Auction and Gala—which featured a menu by Fabio Trabocchi of Michelinstarred Fiola in Washington, D.C., and felt more like a Napa garden party than one of Boca’s black-tie events—also raised more than $600,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County and Napa Valley. “We were able to take a fantastic food and wine weekend and give back to charities in a meaningful way, which made it all the more special,” says Mr. Hostettler.
And what a way to end the night—guests were invited to an al fresco after-party on the lawn with a live band, over-the-top desserts, and a wine-themed drone show that had everyone cheering.
Teasing ahead for Artisans of Wine & Food 2026, Mr. Hostettler anticipates adding more Napa Valley vintners—closer to 200—growing events like Saturday’s Burger & Brews to add a vintners’ component, and expanding upon the popular lifestyle experiences, which will now include a pickleball tournament. Also, look for Mario Carbone to transform the Saturday night gala. All of the events offer guests the opportunity to soak up The Boca Raton’s sprawling property and rich amenities. “One of the benefits that we have over other venues is the breadth of our property, the five hotels and all of the different recreational areas,” says Mr. Hostettler. “We are able to move guests around and offer multiple distinct venues all weekend without ever having to leave the property. I think that made it really memorable and it was a great opportunity for us to showcase what we can do here.”
Artisans of Wine & Food returns for its second celebration of fine wine and culinary mastery from January 15 to 18, 2026, and will once again partner with the esteemed Napa Valley Vintners. Experience this magical event with all-access or à la carte tickets. artisansofwineandfood.com
A young family experiences all the newly reimagined Beach Club has to offer
BY NILA DO SIMON
THE SUN SHINES DIFFERENTLY AT the new Beach Club. I can’t tell you why, and definitely not how, but somehow the sun is more vibrant and luscious from my oceanfront guest room at the reimagined Beach Club.
Perhaps it’s the way the rays gently kiss off the Atlantic Ocean, or how it caresses the golden sand on the private beach. Either way, that extra amenity that nature gifted my family and me seeped into every part of the resort during our recent stay and made the experience even more worthwhile.
Science and logic aside, I recently learned how the renovated Beach Club is a culmination of everything glorious under the Florida sun. Re-opened
earlier this year after a $130 million makeover, the oceanfront property harnesses the organic power of warmth, surf and salt to elevate a beachside stay, a trait my young son noted as he plopped down on the plush lobby cushions and stared longingly through the floor-to-ceiling windows outside t o the Atlantic Ocean.
On our first morning waking up to the view of the majestic blue ocean from our room, my family and I set an intention (or I did, and they followed suit). It was easy to follow: Enjoy every minute of vacation. Soak it all in and stay present. Good thing the new Beach Club vibed with that edict.
Today’s Beach Club is full of rituals that allow guests and Club members to stay in the moment.
Beach Club has even branded its social programming as “Ritual Series.” Guests can experience intentional moments from morning to night, beginning with First Light, a series of oceanside wellness classes guided by expert instructors. My class was a beachside yoga session that began at sunrise. With the waves crashing against the shore, we namaste’d and shavasana’d in splendid nature. Evening rituals are just as meaningful, with a Night’s End ritual at Living Room (the stylish lounge just off the lobby), where we could wind the day down with mellow beats and a bespoke nightcap.
Even inside our guest room, we could feel the ritual of slow, easy mornings taking shape. The kids could lounge on the furnished balcony while my husband and I took our time getting ready for the day. Natural textures and light-color wood created a serene coastal feel t hat made us want to linger longer in our rooms.
Alas, activities outside our room beckoned us, including a ride on Sorbetto, Beach Club’s adorable floating F iat 500 boat that adds a playful twist to a traditional boat ride. Available Thursdays through Mondays, Sorbetto is available to Beach Club guests for complimentary short rides along the Intracoastal. With the wind in my hair and cool water splashing around me as the pastel Sorbetto zipped through the Intracoastal, I couldn’t h ave imagined a better way to marry sun and water.
Beach Club is home to four dining outlets. Unsurprisingly, Marisol was a bright spot during our stay, so much s o that we found ourselves coming back to the indooroutdoor restaurant over and over again. A much-loved restaurant even before its renovation, Marisol is back to continue holding onto the title of one of The Boca Raton’s most popular dining spots. With this latest incarnation, Marisol collaborates with raw bar expert Johnny Spero, chef of the Michelin-award-winning Reverie restaurant in Washington, D.C., who offers a new perspective on fresh Mediterranean fare. The result? Frequent visitors like us trying new things each time we visit Marisol.
The Greek spreads were a beautiful way to start out our meals. We sampled the Whipped Feta and Tzatziki spreads, which had us essentially licking the bowls clean. Freshly baked naan accompanied those starters, and I learned that Marisol even has an Indian-style tandoori oven that gets the naan pillowy soft and warm.
From there, we couldn’t resist ordering the ceviche special, made even more special by the fresh daily catches delivered by local fishermen. Our swordfish souvlaki was grilled to juicy perfection, marinaded with a memorable caper verde sauce. For my main course, I vacillated between the daily special of pompano (caught
right off of The Boca Raton’s shore earlier that day) and seafood paella. The grilled pompano won out that day, but I’ll be back for the paella.
Marisol is not the only restaurant worth going to at Beach Club. Onda is a recent addition, an al fresco space that melts into the beach. The sand-side restaurant offers seasonal fare and features a new chef each winter season. In its inaugural season, Onda has partnered with Adriano Venturini of Eden Roc Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, who has created dishes like the Langosta al Coco, poached Maine lobster with creamy coconut sauce, Dominican rice and caviar.
It’s important to note that while Beach Club has enough dining outlets to keep our family fully satiated during our stay, it was just as easy to dine at the nearby Harborside restaurants, which were a quick Water Taxi or shuttle ride away.
As is common in Florida, an afternoon drizzle kept us indoors. Not to worry, though. Despite the rain (or
maybe because of it?), a highlight for my kids was Game Loft, a gaming room on the second floor of Beach Club. If we’re being completely honest, it was probably one of my husband’s highlights, too. There, the kids (and the husband) had their choice of gaming consoles, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, XBOX Series X, and VR headsets. I was even able to pull my daughter away from a game of FIFA to play one of the many board games in Game Loft, too. (A small victory among many losses during my time as a parent.)
A stay at Beach Club is incomplete without visiting one of the main amenities there: the beach. Sitting on prime golden sand, the beachfront itself is a vision. During one of our mornings there, I noticed how the ocean w ater twinkled against the rising sun, as if to say hello. Just a reminder that even with all the new amenities offered at the reimagined Beach Club, the prime reason we are here is for this slice of beach, an irreplaceable piece of paradise.
As
a local art museum celebrates its anniversary,
we explore its origins right here at The Boca Raton
BY SUSAN GILLIS PHOTOS COURTESY BOCA RATON HISTORICAL SOCIETY
EARLIER THIS YEAR, THE BOCA RATON Museum of Art hosted a fête to mark its diamond anniversary—75 years of bringing art to the city of Boca Raton. Looking to its early days, it began with a group of women seeking to enhance the cultural scene in the growing city, and The Boca Raton was a part of the museum’s origin story.
In 1950, Boca Raton was still a small farm town with a big fancy hotel and a population just under 1,000 souls. The Boca Raton—then known as the Boca Raton Hotel and Club—was owned by hotelier J. Myer Schine, whose holdings included the Roney Plaza in Miami Beach and the McAllister Hotel in downtown Miami. Schine had acquired the hotel from the estate of Clarence Geist, t he hotel’s second owner, in 1944, after a two-year period when it was leased by the American military for use as headquarters for the Boca Raton Air Field. The hotel required extensive renovations and repairs after its military service, with thousands of servicemembers bunking in the luxury resort during the war years. Slowly, the former private club began the transition from social hotel to
a full-time convention hotel with the addition of features like air conditioning and extensive remodeling to accommodate large crowds. It was under the Schine ownership the hotel was painted pink, as Schine’s other properties were likewise painted.
During this era, the little town of Boca Raton boasted few cultural offerings. This started to shift in 1946, when the Women’s Christian and Civic Club established a library in the Palmetto Park Project, a World War II housing project located south of modern-day City Hall. In 1948, the library relocated to a room in Town Hall, today the home of the Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum. The library was still a private agency, not part of city government. In March 1950, the Club hosted an art, craft and hobby show during its annual open house held at Town Hall. It attracted more than 800 people—rather impressive when you consider how small the town was at the time. Library Association board member Hildegarde Schine, wife of J. Myer,
was one of the show’s key organizers. Hildegarde was a lifelong arts advocate and community activist, and by December 1950, she joined Helen Mann, Eleanor Bebout and Dorothy Feeley as the first officers of the Art Guild of Boca Raton. Their mission: to raise funds to build a library and art museum.
In 1951, with the support of Hildegarde Schine, the annual exhibit relocated to the much more glamorous Boca Raton Hotel and Club. That year, the exhibition included Old Masters from a Palm Beach collector as well as contemporary works by local and national artists. The Art Guild show became a significant annual public-private partnership for the hotel, held in the Cloister Lounge (now part of Principessa Ristorante) or, later, the Mizner Room. The show attracted artists like the award-winning Jane Peterson and Florida artists Harry Bierce, Beanie Backus and William Corbett. The show also featured crafts like ceramics, weaving and shell art, plus antiques from local collectors. Prizes were awarded by respected local judges from the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach and other art agencies. The hotel continued to host this important and popular community event until 1962.
In 1955, the Art Guild and the library supporters announced plans for a Boca Raton Library and Cultural Arts Center to be constructed near today’s Royal Palm Plaza, with land donated by the Schines. Unfortunately, the land was instead transferred the next year to Arthur Vining Davis’s Boca Raton Properties (ARVIDA), the next owner of the Boca Raton Hotel. The latter, however, honored the gift (with substantial restrictions) by presenting a deed to a site at Southeast First Street
and Second Avenue to both agencies in 1957. A legal battle ensued between the Library Association and the Guild, and the property was returned to ARVIDA due to the restrictions in exchange for $50,000 to be split between the two agencies.
The Art Guild shifted gears and focused its attention on a new site on West Palmetto Park Road on the edge of what is now Old Floresta. Local architect Howard McCall was commissioned to design a new mid-century modern building for the site, which broke ground in 1961. It officially opened in 1962 and underwent a major expansion in 1969. In 1983, it officially became the Boca Raton Museum of Art with classrooms as well as exhibition space. As the museum continued to expand, it was obvious there was a need for a new facility. The museum opened its current home at the north end of Mizner Park in 2001; the original museum became the Boca Raton Museum Art School.
Today, The Boca Raton and the Boca Raton Museum of Art are both cornerstones in the city’s hospitality and cultural offerings, making their intersection in history all the more charming.

A team of
experts bring fairytale weddings to life at The Boca Raton
BY NILA DO SIMON
THOUGH A FAMOUS FILM MAY have touted the line “there’s no crying in baseball,” it can be said that MLB pitcher Tobias Myers does not subscribe to that belief. After all, it was he—a 6-foot-1-inch ace with a remarkable four-seam fastball—who wiped away tears when he saw his beautiful bride walking down the wedding aisle at The Boca Raton.
Myers and his bride, Leah Angelillo, wrote their own fairytale film script when they married in December 2024. Surrounded by just over 100 friends and family inside Cathedral at The Boca Raton, Angelillo and Myers said “I do” a mong white roses and soft candlelight in a setting that the bride describes as romantic and enchanting.
The couple met in 2019 during an outing with their respective friends in Deerfield Beach. “I didn’t know who he was, but it was love at first sight,” says Angelillo, who works as a nurse. Both Florida natives—Myers is from Winter Haven and Angelillo is from Parkland—the couple set their wedding date for the Major League’s off season, when Myers
could take leave from his role as a pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers. And for the venue, the couple knew they wanted a setting that would reflect their personal characteristics: modern yet timeless with an homage to history.
“We knew this was the place,” Angelillo says of The Boca Raton. “I’ve been here previously with my friends and was taken by the vintage style as well as its recent renovations. Plus, you don’t need to do much to decorate the setting because it’s so beautiful, especially inside Cathedral with its column arches and vaulted ceiling.”
Even more, The Boca Raton served as the perfect home for their friends and families to relax and enjoy a weekend of activities. Before the wedding, Angelillo and Myers invited 25 of their closest friends and family to join them for an intimate welcome dinner at Principessa Ristorante, the hotel’s Italian waterside restaurant in collaboration with Major Food Group. The couple also knew The Boca Raton would be the right setting for their littlest guests, including Myers’ nephew and niece, and Angelillo’s young cousins, who could take advantage of the multitude of water activities at Harborside Pool Club, including the FlowRider wave simulator, lazy river and towering slides.
When it came down to the wedding day, all eyes were on Myers and his bride. In lieu of a “first look” moment ahead of the ceremony, the couple opted for a “first touch,” stroking each other's hands as they stood back to back—keeping their
wedding looks a surprise until the ceremony—reading their personal and private vows to each other.
“My vision was to have the double doors open during our ceremony, and I could get his natural reaction to seeing me for the first time,” says Angelillo, whose aisle procession included the sounds of a trio of string musicians. “And he ended up crying when he saw me.”
After the two said their wedding vows at Cathedral, it was time to get the party started. Cocktail hour took place inside the ballroom, a day-of decision to move away from the original plan to have cocktails outdoors due to windy conditions. Guests sipped on custom cocktails and a torcedor hand-rolled cigars, a gesture added as a thank-you to Angelillo’s father for his tireless support of the couple during the wedding planning process.
For the reception, guests welcomed the newly married couple into Cathedral, which continued the theme of white roses and golden accents. The culinary team prepared a four-course meal that included a Mediterranean salad, sorbet, surf and turf, and tiramisu. As the soiree continued into the evening, with the fusion band Good Musicians leading the good vibes, Angelillo switched outfits, donning a Chantilly-lace dress with long sleeves and a high neckline.
The newlyweds then cut the four-tiered cake made by The Boca Raton’s famous bakery team, revealing layers of white chocolate mousse filling and fresh strawberries.
To end the night, the couple treated guests to late-night bites that included a buffet of hamburgers and fries, items that “Tobias hoped everyone could easily grab” and were “nice and greasy” to satisfy a little indulgence, Angelillo
“The Boca Raton definitely made me feel I was the most important on that day, that I had everything that I needed,” she says. “They didn’t want me to stress with anything going on. It all came together, and I’m so thankful for it.”

The inspiring culmination of a months-long fundraising campaign by 18 local leaders, including The Boca Raton’s President and CEO Daniel H. Hostettler, took place earlier this year. Place of Hope’s 2025 Champions for Children Runway Show and The Leighan Roberts Rinker Angel of Hope Reception raised funds that will directly support the children, young adults and families served by Place of Hope in Southern Palm Beach County, providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. Mr. Hostettler himself took to the catwalk, raising the most funds for the critical work performed by Place of Hope.
With the cool Florida breeze energizing the evening, The Boca Raton Club members enjoyed a lively yacht rock social that included live entertainment and decadent culinary stations. The Spanish Terrace, Royal Palm Ballroom and Estate Ballroom transformed into nautical-inspired spaces, complete with sailing apparel, life preservers and yacht-themed ice sculptures.
Cathedral glowed with fashion excellence as The Boca Raton hosted another edition of its Fashion & Lifestyle Series in collaboration with Palmer magazine. The featured fashion house, Balmain, wowed with its bold yet feminine looks during the evening runway presentation, where afterward guests were able to show exclusive style at The Boca Raton.
The Boca Raton capped off its milestone 99-year celebration with a fête fit for the history books. The elegant Spanish-inspired fiesta took place at the iconic resort and club, where the Danny Beck Band serenaded the black-tie crowd and a fireworks display marked the start of the property's impending centennial celebration.
