BENGALWORKS TAKES FIRST FOR BEST SIGN AND GRAPHIC SHOP BengalWorks was founded in 2007 by Todd Itami, a college student at Idaho State University. Itami pulled open his computer as a print broker and BengalWorks began. He would design everything himself and then send it out to be printed. In 2009, Itami was leaving for Law School, so he helped Kendal Johnson take over. Johnson pulled in his wifeâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s photography business to help aid in wedding announcements, a big part of BengalWorks at this time. In 2011 Johnson left for medical school and Shiloh Armstrong purchased BengalWorks. This is where it really starts. In 2010 sales for BengalWorks were $24,000, not bad for a col-

lege student doing it part time. With an Ikea desk, a 6-year-old Mac and a 300-square-foot office, the dream began for Armstrong. BengalWorks grew from a 300-square-foot office to a 1,300-square-foot office. Armstrong was sure there was no way they would grow out of this space. Vinyl decals had become a large part of the business, and selling laptop decals online had started to become pretty popular. Armstrong watched a YouTube video on vehicle wrapping and in 2013 he attended a wrapping class. He decided it was time to take a big leap and buy a large-format printer. This was the first printing BengalWorks would do in-house. Major learning curves began. After a pretty good year, it was decided that employees would be necessary to keep up with the incoming workload and allow for

continued growth. Two employees were hired: a graphic designer, and a web/production guy. Money was tight, so it was yet another big decision. By the end of the year, Armstrong decided that BengalWorks would do its own screen printing and a press is purchased. Then they rented another building. After three years and over 6,000 sales, Apple Inc. featured nine laptop decals created by BengalWorks in an ad campaign for their new Macbook Air. Another good year made it evident that the current two locations weren’t going to work. Extensive searching began and a new location was found. BengalWorks moved into a facility that would accommodate more growth. The new 12,000-square-foot facility is perfect for bringing everything under one roof. There is still remodeling that needs to be done,

GERONIMO’S TAKES FIRST IN MOST KID-FRIENDLY PLACE, KID ENTERTAINMENT CATEGORIES A few years ago a young-at-heart father visited an indoor trampoline park in Idaho Falls with his wife and 2-year-old son. After having a great time, Brett Price thought, “Why don’t we have one of these in Pocatello?” A few years and one big investment later, Price and a small group of other local owners opened Geronimo’s indoor trampoline park. The 14,000-square-foot building includes a concessions area, three party rooms, a balcony lounge for parents, and 11,000 square feet of trampolines for kids of all ages. “It was after we had visited other trampo-

line parks that I got a hold of Jon and Chad and everyone really caught the vision,” said Price, a Pocatello native. “We love the community we live in and wanted to bring something great to it.” The trampoline park is split into several different areas, with each designed for a different demographic. A mesh wall encloses the kids zone, which is only for kids shorter than 46 inches. Throughout the rest of Geronimo’s, kids can jump off trampoline walls, play dodge ball in an enclosed bouncy court, use battering rams to fight on the battle beam, shoot hoops in the basketball court, or sink

into a massive bag filled with air. While parents are encouraged to stay with their kids, Geronimo’s also features an upstairs lounge filled with leather sofas. From the balcony view, parents can keep one eye on their kids below and another on sports playing on wall-mounted TVs.

In September Jumbos closed for a week to do a much needed remodel.We upgraded all of the kitchen equipment, replaced all the seating, and added carpet. Our white bread is made daily in a mixer older then our name. It starts with eggs, sugar, and salt and is finished with 80 cups of flour. It is then left to rise for an hour before being made in to our fresh bread, dinner rolls, and our delicious sweet rolls. Oh and we should mention, that bread is what makes our thick sliced French toast so yummy. Breakfast items like our omelets are made with three Xlarge eggs, hand cracked & whipped to order. They are stuffed with fresh ingredients, diced by hand in house. The country fried steak is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. It is breaded in house with crumbs ground here from the ends of our homemade bread and then seasoned to perfection. Lunch items like our soups are made from scratch daily, our noodles are rolled out and cut by hand. Nothing comes from a package a no expense is spared when it comes to our ingredients. French fries are cut here from Idaho potatoes & the potato salad is the best you’ll ever have, at least that’s what we’ve been told. We would like to remind everyone though, whether you’re a loyal guest, or your first visit is in the near future, we ask for your patience as we make every order from scratch. Great food isn’t rushed!!
