Jefferson Buxmont Urology

Jefferson Urology Buxmont providers include Drs. David Altman and Lee Blatstein, Nurse Practitioner Carolyn Stalhut and Drs. Rich Landau and Matt Gerstein.

Next year marks the 4th year that our colleagues at Buxmont Urology joined Jefferson Health. Their well-established practice covers portions of Montgomery and Bucks Counties. Dr. David Altman is a Jefferson Medical College/Sidney Kimmel Medical College graduate who completed training in urology at Geisinger medical center. Dr. Lee Blatstein, recognized in 2021 as a Philadelphia Magazine “Top Doctor”, graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic medicine where he also completed his Urology residency. Dr. Matt Gerstein graduated from SUNY Brooklyn College of Medicine and completed his urology residency at Temple. Dr. Rich Landau attended the George Washington University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery and Urology residency training at Jefferson. The practice is fortunate to have an experienced CRNP supporting their busy practice. Carolyn Stalhut, CRNP completed her professional training at Gwynedd-Mercy College.

JUP Urology Regional Expansion: Jefferson New Jersey

In April, 2021 our New Jersey Urology practice relocated from the Jefferson New Jersey Cherry Hill Primary & Specialty Care location to a new dedicated Jefferson Health Urology practice located at the intersection of Chapel Avenue and Kings Highway. Located 1 mile away from Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital, the new office address is 511 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill, NJ. Our JUP providers who work in the new expanded office include Paul Chung, MD, Deborah Glassman, MD, James Mark, MD, and Perry Weiner, DO. The office has a dedicated full time urology staff (see group photo) that includes our new Physician Assistant, Leah McDermott (see page 43). The Department is most appreciative of the support provided by Jefferson New Jersey leadership in making this free standing office a reality. UROLOGIC ASSOCIATES JOIN JEFFERSON HEALTH

The physicians of Urological Associates at Jefferson Northeast/Aria officially joined the Jefferson Health Urology Enterprise on July 1, 2021. Drs. Milton Coll, Howard Altman, David Kraman, Cadence Kim, Marc Lavine, and Andrew Margules have four offices extending from lower Northeast Philadelphia all the way to Bucks County. The group provides routine and complex services in almost all areas of Urology, including advanced endoscopic and robotic surgery. Their offices have the full complement of diagnostics and services including a state of the art Urodynamics lab.

Urological Associates just celebrated their 50th year of providing consistent and reliable high quality leading edge care to their community. This group includes several “2021 Top Docs” including Drs. Cadence Kim and David Kraman and advanced fellowship trained physicians. In 2022, they will be adding two more Urologists to continue to provide timely excellent care. Dr. MJ (MayJean) Councilman, 2021 Jefferson Chief Resident is completing a Beth Israel Deaconess Boston fellowship in endourology and robotics. Dr. Alex Uhr, current Chief Urology resident at Jefferson will also be joining the group in the summer of 2022. “We are pleased to have Dr. Coll and associates join as full time members of Jefferson Health”, noted Dr. Edmund Pribitkin , Chief Physician Executive and President of the Jefferson Medical Group. “It is an honor to have their established and well respected Urology practice become part of Jefferson Health. Congratulations on your group’s 50 Year Anniversary.”

In case you missed it because of all the pandemic news, Hurricaine Ida in September 2021 turned the Vine Street Expressway/676 into a river.
