Women with initiatives have the right to express themselves freely, safely and peacefully.
Set a modular grid of 2m*2m.

Designing The Oasis was combining Life, Love and Domesticity in a space.
Build the foundations following the alignement of the grid.
This women s house is a safe space where women can come together along with their children to discuss, get trainings and change their perspectives on things. Axes Old site New site
The project groups areas that will facilitate the obtention of high school degrees and help the local women to be involved in the political life of the area.
Mosque
The Oasis shows its adaptability within them and sits in the “in-between” space of trees allowing it to have a full integration with nature reinforcing the idea of sustainability.

Step V Add a roof
Place the vertical structure made of three Wild bamboo columns each. The solid walls are made of three different colours of rammed earth: black, red and beige.
Step VI Tilt the roof to collect water
Some bamboo columns are embeded in the solid wall in order to support the roof.

Movable bamboo panels are designed in two of the modules. This allows the flexibility of the space. Built-in furniture is designed inside and outside the modules following the alignement and grid of the modules.
ROOF FRAMEWORK The bamboo roof structure is composed of three superposed layers. The primary and secondary structures are designed with bamboo Vulgarisa. The tertiary structure is designed woth Wild bamboo.
IV COVER The entire bamboo roof framework is covered with a layer of thatch. This prevents water infiltration inside the project and allows water collection through a roof opening located directly above the well.
