y there! I'm Julia Claire (you can call me JC, most people do).
heart has always been pulled towards helping others in anyway I can. One of the ways I've found to st serve the people placed in my life is through photography-- giving them the ability to remember d hold onto life's most precious moments. I believe that when we struggle (and we all do), having mething beautiful and positive to hold onto gives us hope for a better future and grounds us to member that we can find worthwhile moments in the midst anything that life can throw our way. Memories captured through photography are memories we can reference and remember for the rest of our lives.
I've studied and experimented with all things photography for over 7 years and love learning & trying new things, from abstract-styled shoots to your kid's 3rd birthday party to untraditional weddings + elopements I have experience in all types of shoots (some of which you won't see on my website), so if you've got an idea you think might be too "out there", lay it on me and I bet we can make something work!
Side note-- I had a sweet baby boy in 2023 and am learning how to balance raising him (I am a stay-athome mom!) and growing my business. Rest assured, I am still committed to playing my role in making your day as wonderful as I can

Let's cut to the chase-- your wedding day is meant to be about you & your fiancé. It's easy to get lost in the planning, who to invite, and trying to make sure that everything is perfect. I'm here to remind you that this is about you + your partner & that I will do everything I can to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible
You can expect me to be your biggest supporter. I want to get to know you & your partner, what you want/need, and how I can make your special day reflect who you and your partner are as a couple I always hope to capture the fleeting moments, even the small & sometimes seemingly unimportant ones, that are worth remembering. I aim to photograph the real, intimate, reflect on

A lot of people seem to overlook engagement sessions, especailly if they've already been engaged for awhile However, I believe that the engagement season of your relationship is one of the most special and exciting times of a couple's lives Though it is sometimes short and may seem insignificant in relation to a lifelong marriage, it is a time filled with planning a future with the person you love and making important, life-altering decisions (from a color scheme to where you will live after the wedding)
Because I believe in the importance and excitment of you and your fiancé's engagement, I include an engagement session with every single one of my wedding packages I never want my couples to look back and regret not having pictures represent their time as fiancés
Each package comes with a different sized engagement session:
Bronze Package - 10 edited images (valued at $175)
Silver Package - 15 edited images (valued at $355)
Gold Package - 25 edited images (valyed at $530)
Your engagement photos are like a prequel to your wedding day and are meant to celebrate the brief yet precious time you & your partner spend as fiancé's Your engagement session can be as casual or fancy as you'd like, whatever best reflects you as a couple
Although I will help to pose you & your partner, I prefer to use prompts to elicit genuine emotions for your photos For example, I may ask you to face each other and whisper your favorite cereals in a sexy voice I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous and may feel awkward, but believe me when I say it results in the cutest pictures ever

One of the most important tools to ensuring that your wedding day goes according to plan (as much as possible) is a schedule Though unexpected suprises often pop up and we must be flexible, going into the day with a plan will help everything go smoothly and make it possible to get all of the pictures that you dream of We can work together to make a schedule if you don’t have a wedding planner, leaving a spot for all of the important and necessary moments This time plan will also be shared with (and possibly created with) other vendors you are hiring (such as caterers, DJs, etc ) to make sure that everyone is on the same page I always like to coordinate with other vendors, especially wedding planners if you have one, to make sure everyone is onboard with the schedule and it allows everyone to smoothly work together
*Side note: I advise setting aside a bit of time after the first look (if you do one) or after the ceremony to you and your partner to spend alone Wedding days can be crazy busy and overwhelming to some, so ensuring that you have time to center yourselves and connect on your wedding day is helpful and creates a special memory
Designating a well-lit, spacious room for the bride + bridesmaids as well as the groom + groomsmen to get ready will be essential for snapping those dreamy, heartfelt getting ready pictures It is also important to communicate with your bridal party that the room should be kept as tidy as possible so that there is not chaos going on in the background of the photos Designating a "crap corner" for all of the non-photograph-worthy items can help to keep the photos clean and photo ready
Designating a time for a first look is a great way to spend intimate and private time with your partner (if you can ignore me running around you & snapping pictures) Most couples spend a lot of time away from their fiancé during their wedding day, which I like to prevent as the day is supposed to be about the two of you & the once in a lifetime moments that you share on your wedding day There are also a lot of strong emotions during a ceremony and having that private time for you & your fiancé can help to calm your nerves before the wedding and always makes for beautiful, genuine moments that deserve to be remembered and photographed
Once the pictures are done, I would be happy to walk away and give you two actual private time
Of course, you can also choose to forgo the first look if you prefer to save that moment for when the bride is walking down the aisle. Many couples prefer the raw & genuine reaction of the groom seeing his bride for the first time as she is walking down the aisle, which is a beautiful moment I may be running around like a crazy person to get both the bride and groom ’ s reaction, so ignore me (and everything else) and focus on your partner!
The choice between the two is entirely up to you & I will work with whatever you prefer!
E M B R A C E T H E U N E X P E C T E D
It’s understood that a massive amount of planning has gone into this day, and it is one of the most important moments of your life That being said, please enjoy it and embrace the unexpected! The day will go by in a whirlwind and, even though your photographer will capture the monumental moments, my biggest wish for you is that you live each of these moments as fully as possible Your enjoyment will make for the best photos and memories to keep forever!

Your wedding day is about you and your partner While you undoubtedly will worry about making sure everyone else has a good time, remind yourself throughout your big day that this day is ultimately for the two of you Have fun on the dance floor and don’t worry if you aren’t graceful;, take shots (if that's your cup of tea), and go with the flow Enjoy your day and have the celebration that reflects who you are as a couple
Every couple is different and has different needs for their wedding Some couples keep it short & sweet with a s ceremony and others dream of the full wedding experience with pre-gaming shenanigans, the ceremony, and a Therefore, I offer different packages that meet different needs
One of the biggest differences in my packages is time. From options of 4, 6, and 8 hour coverage, there should be a package that fits what you are imagining and hoping for. However, if you need less or more time than the following options, feel free to send me a message and we can figure out an elopement or extended-wedding package that better suits your needs.
Another notable difference is the amount of edited images included, which I don’t give an exact number of in the following information To keep it simple: the more time I'm photographing your wedding, the more pictures I have the chance to get; so the larger packages include more images I take roughly 200 pictures per hour of coverage-- not all will be used and edited (as many are very similar and I pick the best ones), so rest assured that you will have plenty of photos for your big day!

1. MAKING IT OFFICIAL
If you decide to book with me, I’ll send you a contract to go over so that we are on the same page with expectations, processes, payment, ect If you have any questions about the contract, let me know and I’ll be glad to help! A 30% retainer (30% of the full price) is due at the time of signing the contract Then I’ll send a questionnaire with some questions about you and your partner, your vision/hopes for your wedding day, family/bridal party, ect
2. PLANNING SESSION
Once you get a bit more into your planning process and have some details worked out, we’ll have a planning session to work out a photography schedule, desired shots, and more! This session can be over the phone, video chat, or in person (if you ’ re local).
4. THE BIG DAY!
Before your wedding day, we’ll touch base to make sure the schedule and plans are still good to go. I’ll arrive to the venue/location at the agreed upon time and get to work! I always do my best to stay flexible and “ go with the flow” because more often than not, the schedule has to be changed up a bit throughout the day But we always make it work and have a great time!
5. SNEAK PEAKS
I know how hard it is to wait for your wedding gallery, so I send some sneak peaks to help hold you over before the entire album is ready to be sent!
I always shoot to send sneak peaks of wedding albums within a day or two of the wedding If I have another wedding the day after yours or a busy schedule in general, it can take up to a week-- but I always do my best to avoid that!
6. EDITING
There will be more information on the editing process/timeline in the contract, but my turn-around time for a wedding album is usually 2 months or less If I do not have a ton on my schedule, it will be sooner! I always make editing wedding albums my top priority, so please know that I will get the images to you as soon as possible.
6. DELIVERY
When your album is complete, I will send you a link to an online album of all of your photos This will come with a download code that allows you (and whoever you send the album to) to download any and all of the pictures!
If you choose one of the higher packages, you will also receive the personalized USB drive of pictures (and the printed photo album if you chose the Gold Package!)
Q: What is the best way to contact you?

Q: Will you have an assistant?
A: Depending on the size and location of your wedding, I may hire an associate photographer so ensure that I do not miss any important shots This will be no extra charge to you
Q: Can you ensure that you will get each shot from my list?
A: Each of my wedding packages includes a personal planning session where we will discuss specific and important shots that you are hoping for. Though I cannot 100% guarantee I will be able to get each desired shot (since unexpected schedule changes and other obstacles often arise), I will do my best to get ensure that we get each of your important and valued image ideas
Q: If I have to reschedule my wedding date, will my existing payments transfer?
A: If I am not booked for your new wedding date, I will absolutely do my best to be available for your new date and you will not have to pay another retainer fee. If I am not available on the new date, I will refund the payments that you have made if I am informed of the date change 2 weeks before the initial date of the wedding Retainers are non-refundable as they prevent me from booking another wedding on that date.
Q: When are payments due?
A: I require a 30% retainer fee at the time of signing to reserve your wedding date. I can work with you to set up a payment for the remaining fees You can also pay the amount in full, if you prefer. All payment(s) are due 2 weeks prior to your wedding date
Q: I’d love to hire you, but I’m ballin’ on a budget Do you work with different budgets?
A: I completely understand what it's to be on a budget believe me I have been blessed to have many people work with me to afford something that was important to me, so I promise to always work with you budget-wise when I have the ability to do so I'll always be real with you and promise that you can always feel comfortable to be honest with me. :)
Every photographer that you speak with when planning your wedding hopes that you will choose them, which is understandable There are so many great photographers in our community and you have lots of amazing options to choose from, which I know can be overwhelming
I, of course, would be honored to play a role in your wedding day. That being said, you have to go with whoever best fits into your vision and needs, for every business/vendor you choose!
If you do want to hire me to be your photographer, I’ll start the technical side of all of this and send you the contract, questionnaire, ect , to make everything official Then we’ll start chatting to get to know each other more, what you ’ re hoping for, how we can best prepare for your day, and all of the more fun stuff!
