The2020ASIAPACIFICMembershipExperience

wascreatedonOctober2020toevaluatemembers’

experienceunder“NewNormal” Thesurveywaslivefor25days:itwas launchedonThursday,8OctoberandclosedonSaturday,24October APEC(AsiaPacificEstablishment Commission),JCIAcademycommitteeand2020JCIWorldCongressVillagecommitteealsosupportedusto disseminatethequestionnairesurvey.Thisreportisthefinalreportsummarizingtheresultsofthe2020 MembershipFeedbackSurvey.ThisreportcombinesbothQuantitativeResultsandQualitativeResults.

2020 21APDC(AsiaPacificDevelopmentCouncil)assignedcountryVietnamintakingchargeontheportfolio ofDatabase.Thepurposeofthedatabaseportfolioistohaveanunderstandingonwhatcausesthegap betweenthecurrentstatusoftheassignedcountriesandpreferredstatusofafullyAffiliated*orotherNOMs undernewnormal.AffiliatedNOMsmeansothercountriesnotassignedtoAPDC.

ThesecondpurposeofthisreportistounderstandhowtheASIAPACIFICNOMsareadaptingthesituation duringthispandemic.Throughthisanalysis,APDCwillbeabletofindoutthecurrentenvironmentandfind solutionsonhowtonarroworbridgethegap.

DISTRIBUTION OF SURVEY

Thesurveywasdistributedontheplatform GoogleForminEnglishlanguage.Itwasdistributedviaofficial meansofcommunication,suchastheJCIAPDCFacebookgroup.AveryspecialthankstoAPEC(AsiaPacific EstablishmentCommission),JCIAcademycommitteeandJCIWorldCongressVillagecommittee.Thesurvey wasalsosharedtotheJCIBoardofDirectors,allNationalPresidents,andtheGrowthandDevelopment Committee.Informally,thelinkstothesurveywerecirculatedonpersonalsocialmediapages,community specificFacebookandWhatsAppgroups.

METHODS OF ANALYSIS

Thequantitative

wereconductedinmanystepsanditerations.First,therawdata wascleanedusingMicrosoftExceltostandardizeresponsestothedemographicquestionsandstandardizing thespellingoftheNationalOrganizationsbyremoving“JCI”.Therawdatawasalsoscannedandcleanedto removeanyduplicateresponses.Afterthedemographicdatawasstandardized,thegraphsandtableswere createdusingPivotTablesandChartsinMicrosoftExcel.
