Children’s Art Classes Cool Art for Cool Kids, Ages 6+
Creative Clay Kid Parties
Mondays, 3:30 - 4:45 p.m. $140 members, $170 public plus $20 material fee Art really comes alive when there are no boundaries and the object is to create. This really cool class focuses on painting, sculpture, collage and drawing techniques. Special attention is given to creative activities based on a wide variety of two- and three-dimensional projects. No experience necessary. (Students are welcome to bring their own larger canvas)
The Art room at the J is the ideal place to host your child’s birthday party. Parties are customized to make them unique and special for the host and his/her friends. Our clay parties include: • 2- Hour Party for up to 20 children. • 1-1/2 hours for making and glazing a clay hand-made project (Options will be discussed prior to the party). Fired pieces will be available for pick up approximately 2 weeks after the party. • Clay, tools, glazes, firings Price: $30 per child, up to 20 children

Fairytale Ballet* Ages 3-5: Mondays, 1:15-2 p.m., April 28-June 2, no class 5/26 Students learn ballet steps and French terminology as they dance to their favorite princess songs. Classes promote, flexibility, rhythm, socialization, muscle toning and encourage creative expression in a nurturing environment. $100 for members, $120 public Hip-Hop* Ages 5-9: Mondays, 3:30-4:30, April 28-June 9 (no class 5/26) $120 for members, $140 public
Wednesdays, 3:45 to 5 p. m. $120 members, $140 public plus $20 material fee In this fun, relaxed, super creative class, kids will learn to draw using simple shapes. Once they recognize these shapes, drawing and painting become easy. Students learn about color, style and composition using a variety of mediums, such as clay, paint, charcoal, and paper mache. * All materials are provided (students are welcome to bring their own larger canvas). NO experience necessary.

Ages 3-5: Thursdays, 1:15-2 p.m., April 24-May 29 $120 for members, $140 public Ages 6-12: Thursdays, 4:45-5:30, April 24-June 12 $140 for members, $160 public This high energy class teaches basic Hip-Hop moves step by step to the latest popular music. Classes promote confidence, coordination, muscle toning, flexibility and allows students to develop their own sense of style.
Jazz/Ballet* Ages 6-12 Mondays 4:45-5:45, April 28-June 9 (no class 5/26)
$120 for members, $140 public This combination class introduces dancers to the foundation of basic ballet steps using center floor ballet exercises to elongate the leg muscles and strengthen the core. Class will also include the high energy of pop jazz while executing powerful movement to pop music using the latest choreography.
