Dear Camp Families, Being with friends and learning life-long skills is perhaps more important now than it ever was before. Yearning to have fun, being active, acquiring new skills and being part of a community are just some of the most cherished parts of summer camp - because they provide our children the opportunity to grow and learn all while making unforgettable memories. Because we understand that many lifestyles have changed in recent years, we’ve added half and full day, one-week skill-focused summer camp programming to meet your family’s ever-changing needs. Our Camp Gan Yeladim, KinderCamp, Sababa Theatre Camp, Sabra, Habonim, Yalla, Adventure Days and Kaytana camps are promised to challenge and engage your children this summer! We are excited to enrich your children and allow them a safe and independent environment to learn and grow. At the Jewish Community Alliance, your children will gain leadership skills, develop a greater appreciation and respect for cultural differences, engage in team building activities and enjoy 35 acres of outdoor space thanks to our community partners at the Jacksonville Jewish Center.

It is our pleasure to share the plans for the 2023 Summer Camp season at the JCA. We can’t wait to see you, we hope you’ll join us at the JCA this summer!

FEES AND DEPOSITS

Applicants must be in good financial standing with the JCA to register for any camp program. All applications must be completed online or turned in to the Registrar’s Office.

All camps require a $100 deposit per session per child. Deposits are not refundable or transferable to other JCA programs outside of camp. Campers who register by February 17 for a minimum of eight weeks with full payment at the time of registration will receive a 5% discount (excluding Gan Yeladim and KinderCamp). Payments must be made by cash or check only. There are no discounts on Habonim or Kaytana specialty programs. This discount does not apply to those receiving financial assistance.

Balances for all camp programs regardless of session must be paid in full by May 1. The JCA will not guarantee placement if balances are outstanding after that date.

Refunds of camp fees for any sessions will be granted, except for deposits, only if the JCA is notified in writing of withdrawal prior to May 1. Notification of withdrawal on or after May 1 results in loss of all fees paid.

All changes (in writing) regarding registration, including schedules, sessions and specialties, result in a $15 per change fee payable at the time the change is made. On or after May 1, there is no credit issued for changes to schedules with lesser tuitions. Camp fees include camp t-shirt and daily snack.

Membership is not required, but JCA members and children currently enrolled in ECE programs, or for the 2023 - 2024 school year, have priority registration through March 17. Guests are encouraged to submit applications with deposits early to secure a space on the waiting list. In the event space is not available, all monies are refunded. Cabin requests must be reciprocal and written on registration forms by May 1 (not available in Gan Yeladim or KinderCamp). Our cabin groups are designed to meet each camper’s individual needs.
