Team: Jayita Shetty, Shruthi Hariharan, Riya Shah pARks COMBINATORIA allows for a multitude of organic and hormonious interpolation of green spaces with city blocks that could be arrranged in a variety of permutations and combinations creating opportunities for different degrees of interaction rnaging from intimate to a multiple of organizational options. The design system in a consious design attempt to rethink the rigid central green spaces in Savannah and redefine with fuild and parametric approach.

Access And Approach

LOCATION AND TOPOGRAPHY:

The site is located on the hutchinson island right across the the Historic district of Savannah. The land is predominantly flat but is one of the highest points on the Hutchinson island.

The island is connected by roads and ferry to the Historic District. You can reach the site by road via the Tamaldge Memorial Bridge or by the Ferries that run to the convention centre from City Hall, Trade center.

Views Of The City

Green spaces come in various structures, sizes and functions. Some are functional in nature. Most are recreational and a few are residual.Whichever form they take up, they improve the imageability of the fabric making spaces more habitable and vibrant, opening up opportunities for improved engagement, economy and health.

Raising resilient community: Community Center and Housing

A unique site with stories of undefinable boundaries, A rememberance and history.The intangible but visible aspects of the site are not different from the built environment Resilience is not just to overcome the unexpected but it is to embrace and make it inclusive. This particular phase is to integrate the intangible into spaces for community interaction.Establishing a relationship by balancing the nature of each natural forces.
