CROSSVIEW REALTY
By Jennifer Watson
The Golden Rule says to “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” and it is by this age-old wisdom that Jennifer Hendry of CrossView Realty and CrossView Property Management runs her businesses.
Jennifer’s journey into real estate happened almost accidentally. She was born in Jacksonville but spent most of her formative years in Tallahassee. It was her attendance at the University of North Florida that led her back to the Jacksonville area, where she graduated with a degree in Investment Finance in December of 2006. As luck would have it, while attending school, she landed an internship with Pulte Homes that would change the trajectory of her career plans forever.
BRIGHT BEGINNINGS
“Pulte paid more per hour than other jobs and would allow me only to work Friday through Sunday so I could focus on school Monday through Thursday,” Jennifer says. “It worked for me, and so that’s why I started working in real estate …I found out I was good at it and decided to go full-time after graduating.”
And that’s exactly what she did. Once Jennifer got her college diploma, Pulte offered her a full-time job and paid for her to get her real estate license, which she earned within two months of her college graduation. From there, she spent the next several years working for Pulte as a site agent for new construction, and then she transitioned to the marketing department.
She wasn’t finished growing yet, however.
CLIMBING TO THE TOP
“I then took a job with Standard Pacific as their Marketing Manager and eventually became the
Director of Marketing,” Jennifer recalls. “Standard Pacific merged with
Ryland and became CalAtlantic. While I was there, I worked with several architects to design a number of the plans you see around town.”
It was during her time at Standard Pacific that she met Jim Birkholz, the division president at the time. His vote of confidence in Jennifer propelled her forward, and she credits him with shaping where she is today.

“He allowed me to be in meetings and part of some very large decisions for the Jacksonville division,” Jennifer says. “Being part of that helped to grow my knowledge in so many ways, but it also allowed me to really believe in myself, that I can do this.”
CHOICES AT THE TOP
In 2016, after nearly ten years of working for new construction builders in various capacities, Jennifer felt she was at a crossroads. She felt like she could either stay in new construction and work toward becoming a division president one day, or she could pursue general real estate and become a broker.
In making her decision, Jennifer talked with several agents who had experience moving from new construction to general real estate. She also relied on her faith to guide her next move.
Ultimately, her husband’s support and push gave Jennifer what she needed to make the leap to the world of general real estate and become her own boss.
FAITH-FIRST FOCUS
By this point in her life, Jennifer had been married to her husband Scott for six years and had started a family with a daughter named Taylor and a son named Cameron. She appreciated that becoming a broker would provide her more flexibility in her schedule so she would be able to do more with her kids and their schools as they became older. Additionally, she liked the idea of creating a business on her terms, a business that would have Christ at its core and would reflect her faith as the compass guiding her success.
In September of 2016, Jennifer and another agent partnered to open CrossView Realty. The business grew over the next few years, and Jennifer was able to buy out her business partner in December of 2019. With Scott by her side, Jennifer’s team was able to close 235 deals in 2020 to the tune of $65.7 million.
“We are a Christ-centered brokerage. You don’t have to believe the way we do, but we do pray before meetings, and our beliefs play a huge role in decisionswe make for the company,” Jennifer says. “Our agents are part of our family. [Our goal is that] each agent is a producing agent and not just someone who hangs their license with us.”

Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and children.
Beyond her faith, Jennifer credits her customers with the success of her business. At the heart of her mission is to help people find homes that suit them best.
“It’s like winning the lottery when I can find a home for a customer that they end up purchasing, and it was a home they didn’t even realize they were looking for,” she says.
Today, Jennifer continues to work to grow CrossView Realty–with her husband as CFO–into a well-known brokerage, relying on God to take it wherever He wants it to go.

CrossView Realty is excited for their new office building to be complete soon.
PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER … EVERYWHERE
Jennifer and Scott will celebrate 12 years of marriage in October 2022, and their children, Taylor and Cameron, are now 10 and 7, respectively. Along the way, they’ve added two Golden Doodles to the
family, as well. They enjoy spending time outdoors, attending church, and visiting theme parks together.
When she isn’t working, Jennifer loves to work on puzzles to decompress.

“I finished a 40,320-piece puzzle last year,” she smiles. “It’s 22 feet long and six feet tall when put together.”
DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU.
Jennifer hopes that when all is said and done, she will be remembered as a Godly woman who loved those around her with all her being. She is committed to being an honest businesswoman who lets her faith in God and the “Golden Rule” guide her every step of the way.
“It’s not the Jennifer Show; I work to build up our agents and focus on them becoming successful,” Jennifer says. “If our agents are successful, then CrossView will be successful.”
