Building on the Past, Growing the Future

Bailey Jordan of The Jordan Group at Navy to Navy Homes is a native Floridian who grew up in many places. “I was born in Pensacola, but I’m a military brat,” she shares. Of her many childhood moves and the changes that come with being part of a military family, she says, “I loved it. Moves every few years, new schools, new friends, and new cities molded me into an adaptable adult.” Bailey recognizes, too, that her upbringing gave her “many incredible experiences many kids may never get to do.”
Some of her childhood experiences intersect with her career as a REALTOR®. “I am a third-generation real estate broker,” she says. “I spent summers with my grandparents in Pensacola, where my grandfather was a real estate broker. He would let me help out with small tasks around the office, installing signs, refilling flyer boxes….” Too, with every family move, her parents purchased investment homes to either renovate —“family flips,” her family called them — or rent out.

Still, while Bailey enjoyed her experiences, she didn’t plan to become a REALTOR®. She graduated from Florida State University in 2013 with a bachelor’s in Psychology and Child Sciences and wanted to begin a master’s program in Marriage and Family Therapy right away. But her now husband, Michael, proposed, so she graduated in three years instead of four and came home to Jacksonville, her parents’ last duty station, to finalize wedding plans.
“I think it’s really special now to think back on these experiences and see how they laid the foundational work on my current career,” she says.
PAST IS PRESENT
On becoming a REALTOR®, she says, “I was hired at Navy to Navy Homes as an administrative assistant right after I graduated and while I was wedding planning and applying to graduate school.” Six or so months later, Bailey “felt a tug” to get her real estate license. “I became licensed in July 2014 and hit the ground running. Quickly, real estate became something I found myself being extremely passionate over, loving it, and succeeding in. Graduate school applications took a back seat, and to this day, I have never looked back.”
She loves working with people (a connection to her earlier desire to be a counselor). Her business is built on relationships, “which is one aspect I find most fulfilling about this line of work,” she says. “Being able to connect with others on a relational level and aid in what is sometimes the largest purchase of their life is both humbling and rewarding. Also, I get to know so many awesome families — many of whom become friends. It is humbling and rewarding to walk this journey with hundreds of families.”
Bailey’s varied childhood experiences propel her to provide the best possible service to every family she serves. “It’s my joy and honor to help them make their journey as seamless as possible,” she says. “Coming from a military background, I can empathize and understand what these families go through during a PCS move [when they are moving to a new duty station] because I have been there.” Families often are faced with a cross-country move, and sometimes one parent is deployed first. Getting settled in a new community requires effort; moving into a new home, registering children in school, and so on is challenging. Sometimes, they have to complete the entire home-buying process from afar, and Bailey ensures their transfer is as smooth as possible. She becomes their “boots on the ground” locally during their purchase.

“In addition, Navy to Navy Homes is an affiliate of the national program, Homes for Heroes,” Bailey shares. “Through this affiliation, when you are a community hero — military, medical professional, first responder, teacher, or clergy — we rebate our clients back 25% of our brokerage’s gross commission to thank them for their service.”
“To me, it is worth it. These people place their lives on the front line for us every single day. It is a small action to show appreciation and one I am honored to do. Since 2014, I personally have rebated back over $500,000 to my customers — both buyers and sellers. And as of 2021, Navy to Navy as a brokerage has given back over $2,000,000 as a company to our program heroes we have helped to buy or sell a home who are part of this grouping.”

family, and other real estate agents,” Bailey shares. “I absolutely adore helping newer agents succeed, answering their questions, and encouraging them. I feel there is a lot of competition in this industry. Many people do not want to help others; they view them as competitors. I disagree and believe everyone has their own style and will tweak the suggestions you may give to their style. “Collaborate Over Compete” is one of my mottos in this industry.”
A GROWING FAMILY AND BUSINESS
The Jordans love to travel and make it a priority. They love to learn about other cultures while making memories. “Our favorite spot so far is Greece,” Bailey shares. When they’re not traveling, they enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching football, or exploring Jacksonville and its surrounding areas. “We love spending time in St. Augustine and in Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island.”

In December 2021, Bailey and Michael welcomed their first child into the family, Indy James.
Both Bailey and Michael are international mission advocates. Bailey has personally participated in four missions; she has worked with children in various countries, including El Salvador, the Philippines, and Africa. They currently sponsor three children through Compassion International, Atim Gloria and Andrew from Uganda, and Anna Claire from Brazil.
Michael left his seven-year career at the Mayo Clinic in 2018 to join The Jordan Group. Today while he does assist buyers and sellers alongside Bailey occasionally, “his true passion is overseeing our second business, Rejuvenating Jax (#rejuvenatingjax),” says Bailey, which is the couple’s investment arm, where they rejuvenate older homes as investment properties.
The Jordans are looking forward to the future.
Bailey is a servant at heart and is always present to help her buyers and sellers. She purposefully strives to find their needs and works to fill them. She’s a natural relationship builder and strives to provide the best service she can because she recognizes, “focusing on their experience and outcome has granted me the success I’ve had.” Her favorite quote is by Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
