A CASUAL PROFESSIONAL

By Brandon Jerrell

Molly Evans with Hover Girl Properties is ready for you the moment you meet.

“I want all of my customers to feel at ease during our very first conversation,” she says.

As this month’s Rising Star, Molly finds great importance in first impressions. Coming from a Naval family, she is closely familiar with the difficulties of moving frequently or just moving in general. With this knowledge, she strives to simplify this process for all of her clients.

THE STRENGTH OF FAMILY

“I grew up in a Navy family, so we moved around when I was a child, but I’m fortunate to have spent the majority of my upper childhood and teenage years here in Jacksonville,” Molly says.

After graduating from the University of North Florida, she quickly realized how much she loved the area. “I absolutely love everything about North Florida, from the beaches to the local dining scene,” she shares. “My husband and I have moved around Jax in a few different communities, but we are now in the Intracoastal West area and don’t plan to leave anytime soon.”

Molly is thankful to have grown up in a very close and loving family, and she wishes to provide that same stability to her children, Reid (5) and Chandler (3). “We definitely aren’t perfect, but my kids know that I love them and that I will always work hard to give them the best life possible. If you ask them, I do a lot of showings!”

Coming from just north of Kansas City, Missouri, her husband, Mitchell, is also a REALTOR® with Hover Girl Properties. He likes to focus on property management and is heavily involved with the company’s rental division.

Molly’s husband, Mitchell, is also a real estate agent with Hover Girl Properties.

As a family, they love to hang out around the water. “If the weather is nice, you will find us at the beach, pool, or boating,” she says. On a quick side note, Molly remarks that she is “proud to say I converted my husband from a Chiefs fan to a Jaguars fan, and we love spending our Sundays watching the Jags.”

EVERY MOMENT MATTERS

In 2013, Molly’s father had a serious health-related issue during a family vacation in the Florida Keys. “I remember sitting at the small community hospital and just wondering what was next. He had an emergency surgery that thankfully was successful, but I’ve never lost sight of how quickly life can change.”

This frightening event heavily shifted Molly’s view on the importance of every moment. “I try to live life to the fullest and make sure my friends and family know how important they are to me,” she explains. “Life can change in an instant, so we have to embrace every day to the fullest.”

This philosophy greatly guides how Molly treats her clients and her interactions with them. “It is very important to me to be relatable and approachable while never compromising professionalism.”

Molly enjoys spending time with her husband, Mitchell, and children, Reid and Chandler.

HOVER GIRL PROPERTIES

Molly’s mother, Joy Doyle, co-founded Hover Girl Properties in 2007 alongside Lara Yehl. Both being military spouses, they initially focused their services on other military families in Jacksonville. Since that time, their company now serves all families, military or not.

“As spouses of Navy pilots, the two of them were balancing husbands, kids, and a brand-new company that hit the ground running soon after inception,” says Molly, reflecting on her mother’s dedication. “I was so inspired by them and was fascinated by the work they were doing in both property management and sales.”

“I guess the love of real estate is genetic!”

It is very important to me to be relatable and approachable while never compromising professionalism.

FULFILLING INTERACTIONS

Molly works with buyers, sellers, and homeowners in Hover Girl Properties’ property management division.

“Often, our customers start as buyers, then turn into landlords, then turn into sellers when the timing is right,” she describes. “We are grateful and honored to be able to do all three.”

She splits the most fulfilling aspects of her work between her interactions with buyers and her interactions with sellers.

“For buyers, especially in this competitive seller’s market, I will never get tired of handing over keys at the closing table,” she explains. “In most cases, buyers work hard to save up money and sometimes are forced to submit several offers before going into contract, so getting them across the finish line is extremely fulfilling.”

“For sellers, especially our military sellers who have already left Jacksonville, I am so honored to be their eyes and ears in Jacksonville. I never take it lightly when a seller entrusts their listing into our hands from across the world.”

READY AT EVERY MOMENT

It is extraordinarily clear how much Molly Evans cares for her clients. “I always want to be professional, but I want my customers to remember that I truly cared and I helped them have fun along the way.”

One of the most apparent ways Molly balances her professionalism with her friendly appearance is her casual attire. “I do wear ripped jeans and sneakers most days,” Molly smiles.

“I am more motivated now than I ever have been to continue to serve my customers well, and I can’t wait to continue to do so in the years to come,” she reflects.

Molly loves working with her mom, Joy Doyle, co-founder of Hover Girl Properties.

“Buying or selling a home can be stressful, but we don’t have to lose our sense of humor along the way.”

Congratulations to Molly Evans, this month’s Rising Star. You will know that you chose an outstanding REALTOR® the moment that you meet her.
