“What if sustainability could be a part of increasing your quality of life?”
Jason Tran

Concept Statement
A house of the 21st-century should exploit Context, Technology-sustainability, and Connectivity into its musing design and create a relevant and contemporary home. Following the idea of “integration but not assimilation”, a unique design with an organic story reflects the symbiosis between individuals and society and plays the role of a singular ‘tile’ contributing to a complete cultural Mosaic of society. 1

The Mosaic Homea Story Teller 3
The clients, an elderly couple who served for 40 years in the medical field, have a son and a daughter in their 40s who are both married with children. The client has recently retired and wanted a home that would bring all members of their 3-generational-family together under one roof. Their daughter has a disabled son, requiring that the entire home be accessible. Lastly, the clients are proponents of a good design that respects the environment, historic site, and community.
