aven was inspired by my Wounded Child archetype. The narrative surrounding the egg is my feelings expressed in fabric paint. Crushing and painting silk to simulate an egg where I am safe from the world and the people that don’t want me. My egg has then been beaded and embroidered. I have my back to you so I don’t see the dislike in your eyes. The egg is nestled on black satin embellished with embroidery. I have been exploring the crushed silk surface and this is the 3rd in my Child Archetype series.
