INTRODUCTION

• Tuscan design style which comes from the Tuscany region of Italy. The greatest way to characterize Tuscan interior design is comfortable, earthy, rustic, and friendly. Tuscan design is closely related to the outdoors, food, wine, and traditional artisan skills. This design is well-liked due to the tranquil countryside.

• It combines international romanticism with opulent home décor. Due to the fact that the Italians are immensely proud of their heritage and because they have influenced the central Spanish rural side,

• The Tuscan style is widely used today.

INFLUENCES

• It is influenced by the Mediterranean region's hillsides as well as Italian homes and vineyards. It also draws inspiration from the rural areas of France and Spain, which border the Mediterranean Sea to Italy's west. There are also traces of the ancient Etruscan culture and the Middle Ages' Renaissance period.

• The Etruscans contributed significantly to architecture in the form of the classic column shape, in addition to the gorgeous, Tuscanstyle homes we see today.

• The Tuscan architectural style is no different from other architectural styles as it is influenced by the materials that are obtainable in that specific region. Stucco walls, terracotta roofs and floor tiles, salvaged Tuscan farmhouse wood beams, and facades built of limestone, travertine, or sandstone with marble sculptures and accents were typical characteristics of wood-framed homes.

FAMOUS DESIGNER : MARK HAMPTON

COLOR SCHEME

• Warm, neutral, and earth tones, including dark sandy brown, rusty orange, terracotta red, and black, make up the usual Tuscan color scheme. Shades of green are also utilized to illustrate the olive trees, grapevines, and cypress trees that line the country roads of Tuscany. The hues of the Tuscan sunflower fields, the full fruit of a lemon tree, and the warm rays of the evening sun are captured in rich ocher and deep, golden yellow. While deep burgundy invokes scenes of fine wine, cobalt blue reflects the tones of the sea and sky.

• These colors make the space brighter and cosy.

TEXTURE AND MATERIALS

• The materials mostly used are natural/raw materials such as stone, terracotta, brick and wood. Ceiling beams are generally constructed of raw, rough wood. Floors tend to be finished with a darker color timber floor or stone tiled in dark earth tones which might include terra-cotta or natural stone floor tiles; stained wooden cabinets in the kitchen alongside terra-cotta pots; classic, Mediterranean style furniture made of thoroughly stained wood with a highly polished finish and aged plaster walls, textured walls, or stone walls.
